I have to say that I'm impressed they've thrown this curve-ball at us. Was totally expecting Grey followed by the inevitable RuSa remakes.

Since an announcement is already up on US pokemon.com I'd say this holiday season could be likely. I think this may actually increase the chance the Nobunaga crossover will come out here ta boot!

I'm actually surprised that no one has mentioned the cover Pokemon yet. One looks like a Zekrom/Kyurem fusion, and the other looks like a Reshiram/Kyurem fusion. Looks interesting.

Apparantly they're alternate formes of Kyurem based on Fire (Reshiram) and Electric (Zekrom).

Totally called Kyurem having a 'complete' form in whatever game was following - there's a shedload of fanart about it floating around.

So finally the moves Freeze Bolt and Cold Burn (or whatever they're called) will be used. At least, that's what I'm assuming.

Pretty sure it would've already been in the programming, like Freeze Bolt and Cold Flare. (Those are the actual names)

I don't like the look of this at all. (Surprise, surprise.) But no, seriously, hear me out:

It looks like they merged Zekrom and Kyurem into one creature, and they merged Reshiram and Kyurem into another creature. This ... uh, sets off all kinds of worried alarms.

• Are they going to make Pokemon mergers a trend now? Is it just a matter of time before, *sigh*, Venustoise from the anime becomes a reality?
• Does this signify the beginning of triple types? Do they intend to have the merged beasts be Fire/Ice/Dragon and Electric/Ice/Dragon? Or wll they drop one of the three types? (And if so, how will they pick which one to drop?)

Both of these have me concerned. The second bullet could actually be really goddamn sweet provided they did it right. They'd have to completely overhaul type effectiveness (since nobody wants to see something of theirs be 8x weak to something -.- or to have four 4x weaknesses -.-), but if they did, they could make it possible so that we could have shit we've been wanting for a long, long time. (Mind you, I can't think of anything besides Fire/Flying/Dragon Charizard, but he totally comes to mind. ) However, my concern here is that the possibility for failure is just too great.

The first bullet point, though ... that one has me REALLY concerned. People are suggesting that maybe these are just "alternate forms for Kyurem" and that they're not really mergers between him and the other two Pokemon. If that's the case, then ... I guess that's better? The physical design merger is still painfully obvious, even if there's no actual in-universe merger that's taken place, and that's what has me concerned. That if they're going to start here, then who knows where they'll take us before they stop? I don't want Venustoise, I don't want Pikaeowth, I don't want Cromeow, and I don't want Girafyarados. Probably just over-reacting, but ... I dunno, I'm just concerned, is all. I don't like this.

Talon, I'm pretty sure it's just for Kyurem, since it's allegedly the original 'body' of the first Dragon 'mon that split into Reshiram and Zekrom.

Like I said, there's a shedload of fanart of 'Complete Kyurem' floating around the internet. No idea how this is all going to work but yeah.

Or, you know, they could be trying something different for once. You know, to market "BRAND NEW AND EXCITING!!!!" And if fusions do come to Pokemon, it's not going to change the fact that they're going to sell a shitton of games. I think they're trying something different to try and sell 2 metric shittons, instead of just one metric shitton.

I doubt there's going to be triple types and fusions. But if what Dave said is true that those are just alternate forms of Kyurem, I'm just expecting some stat changes and the alternate Kyurems being allowed to use Fusion Bolt, Freeze Bolt (For KyuKrom) and Fusion Flare, Blue Flare (for KyuRam).

I said no Grey or Remakes to start the generation/3DS off! Not a perfect guess but now when they do make a 3DS game the likeliness of it being Gen VI increases drastically!

Is this for 3DS or just DS? Serebii claims it is for DS, which would make me very happy.

It is for the Nintendo DS. It says so on the bottom, beneath (but part of) the picture. Then, on the bottom right-hand corner, it also reminds fans (presumably small kids) that "You can play these games on the 3DS too!" The point being, the games are 3DS compatible (why would they not be? ) but are being written for the DS.

B/W had 6 months between JP & NA launch.

With these games coming in June its possible they could let 'em loose in december with a slightly quicker localization. Since they had a page for it ripe & ready they might be even better prepared than last time!
