Inter-Britpack records:

VS. Kush: 4-1 (6v6/Doubles/Levelling/Gym Defence - PokéBowl)
VS. Elsie: 3-1 (Pool party/GAME/Gym Scenario - Levelling)
VS. Concept: 0-2 (GAME/Water-off)

And I'm 0-2 against Handy too, so the numbers would suggest summat else.

Considering I've already crushed its head between the ground and a Hammer Arm and the ground and a Mega Punch, I doubt I'll even need to use Superpower.

Our water-off remains one of my favourite matches ever, alongside my most recent proper match against Elsie, because they were both fine examples of damn good battling by both sides, and had moments where the balance totally shifted. Both Dream Breaker matches were also bloody good fun albeit marred by one of us majorly jumpluffing both times. I think I'm (w-l-d)

vs Dave: 2-0-0
vs Kush: 2-1-0
vs Elsie: 2-0-1
vs Handy: 3-0-0

and this makes me realise I've never battled Stu until our current gym match, which is pretty much dead level.

Do you still have the warstory? I'd like to see this.

What, people thought Blissey was heavy?

I laugh.

Yeah. How I sum up how sturdy pokemon are: Humans have 1 HB of health.

It was Wi-fi, so no warstory, but basically Pelipper alternated between Roost and HP Electric while Gyara's Ice Fangs did shit-all back. Not sure why he wasn't running Stone Edge but yeah, it was amusing.

I did love my crazy UU stuff.

A deathmatch battle type would be awesome. I'm thinking of a mesh between Mortal Kombat and Happy Wheels.

No...I don't think it would work that way. People are much hardier than you'd believe. We just have specific ways we could go down. We're much hardier than bats, but less hardy than, say, twenty-foot rock snakes. If we were to be reffing realistically in that way, a Cleffa (excepting Archimedes) would have maybe half an HB, whereas a Steelix might have 6.

...And suddenly everyone moved away from Shuckle.

I think we're getting too far into Advanced PASBLmatics. Only Muyo and Kuno are qualified to take this course.

Cleffa survive in a world where things that can cause precision lightning strikes are common. Expecting it to be less hardy than a real life human is incredibly unrealistic.

In other words, when reffing realistic do not treat Zubat as if it were a real life bat unless you want me to ref all your pokemon dying the moment the opponent uses thunderbolt/flamethrower.

Indeed, Been thinking this myself for a while. Could do one on SPPf after Raikou's done maiming Cele and PH, can't see our Gym match starting for a while.

Also, if it was truly realistic, wouldn't a Blissey using flamethrower kinda burn its mouth?

Someone draw this in paint

I should start reffing realistic matches involving those people who refuse to ref realistic properly, taking their "of course slash to the throat is going to seriously main/instantly incapacitate/kill a pokemon" logic and extending it to a fully scientifically correct reffing.

Bets on how many pokemon suffer instant critical existence failure upon being sent out due to being impossible?

I remember Elsie and I once discussed something similar due to the obvious issues surrounding Slugma and Wailord.

This has gotten me wondering, even just in Slappy, how much extra damage does Joltik take from being so small.

Depends on the ref. I ref it taking about 1.1x more than normal or so, nothing drastic, but I'm not good with that kind of shit compared to, say, Concept or Kush.
