Actually, he couldn't of run another attack, since that would of recked the entire gimmick, since it would mean said move could of been called by Assist instead of the all-important V-Create. Roar would of been an idea, though, seeing as Assist cannot call Roar, Whirlwind, Dragon Tail or Circle Throw (Though Copycat can. Huh).

:o Shouldn't it be "couldn't have"? I don't think "couldn't've" is a real word. ^_^;

Have contracts to 've. For example:

"I should have" --> "I should've"

"I could have" --> "I could've"

Welcome to 3rd grade English. ^_^;

^_^; I know that, but double contractions tend to only exist in informal spoken contexts. ...I think. OTL At least I've almost never seen it in writing. :o

I've used 'Couldn't've' before, so.

In formal writing, I think people usually put a space there. So for instance, you'll see "He couldn't 've done that." Writing it as "He couldn't have done that" means the person is saying "He couldn't have," have, "done that." You're meant to read the have as a solid word. You're meant not to contract it inside your head. Doing so would be as inappropriate as contracting "He will miss me" to "He'll miss me" or de-contracting "I'll be back" to "I will be back," right? So if you want to convey in writing the spoken "He couldn't 've done that," you write what I just wrote here. You don't write "He couldn't have done that." [/my opinion, I'm sure you could find a handful of editors who disagree]

I bring you a short interruption to your regular grammatical broadcasting- One of the better matches I've had in a while.
WARNING: Sun Team VS Rain Team. My Sun team is a little unorthodox in it's members, though, so.

http://pokemon.aesoft.org/replay-Dia...76--2012-04-01

...Right after the match, I promptly replaced Solarbeam with Seed Bomb on my Venusaur. And that made my team a LOT better, so I guess learning from your mistakes is true after all! ^_^

First of all, you appear to be running a SpAtt Venusaur. Solarbeam uses SpAtt but Seed Bomb uses Att. They are not interchangeable. Second of all, why oh why haven't you tried out my Venusaur from November? Or is this non-DW you're playing in? If it is, then disregard. But if it is not, then I definitely encourage you to try it out. You've got it preconstructed for you inside of the CC boxes (and at Level 100 if you use the numbered ones, not the lettered ones), so just look for it. It's a Venusaur with Heat Rock and Sunny Day, Solarbeam, Sludge Bomb, and Sleep Powder. Ability is Chlorophyll. I think you should definitely try him out. For example, here in your battle, the turn that his Politoed used Protect and you used Sludge Bomb (Turn 5)? Totally would have used Sunny Day here. He'd have been all "Fffffffffff" and you'd have been all ">3" and then you could have gone ahead and used Solarbeam with impunity. Sure, he'd still have then switched in Skarmory, but you tell me which is worse: doing 4x resisted damage or doing absolutely zero damage because of an immunity? What's more, with the sun back up, you can guarantee that he'd want to bring Politoed back out. So who would you send out? Why, Manectric, of course. It not only keeps Politoed away, it also scares that Skarmory right back out.

EDIT: Actually, it may have Sitrus Berry instead of Heat Rock. Your choice which item to run. I think I ended up opting for Sitrus Berry because it healed my Venusaur nicely, particularly in the absence of Leech Seed. This might even be the better option for you given that you have access to perma-sun with Ninetales.

I was actually running a mixed set, but that Sunny Day idea is genius! I never even considered running a secondary setter for some reason. XD
And Chlorophyl Sleep Powder... Ohgodyesplease.

Thanks! ^_^
*Runs off to change it.

What's the best way to fight against retarded hax? Why, with retarded hax of your own. ;3

His hax Basculin and Cryogonal vs. my hax Sudowoodo

Spoiler: show
I went from 1-4 to 1-0. WITH a wasted turn on a failed Block. You have to give that outcome some applause. ;p And before you say "HAAAAAAX," I think he was way hax-luckier.

You had a Belly Drumming, ExtremeSpeeding, Shadow Clawing Linoone for your lead in the Challenge Cup. [/ridiculously lucky] I'm astonished the other guy didn't rage quit after it was 6-2. Good for him being a decent sport about things and letting you enjoy the full taste of your ridiculously lucky break. ^^;
