Round 7

Buddy quickly Roars loudly at his foe, making him forget all about earth power as he shivers in fear. Still standing there in fear, Buddy inhales deeply before streaming the kanji for 'big' in Fire, which Blasts into his foe for high damage. Buddy continues, once again Firing a mighty Blast at his foe, and it seems we have our first knock out this round.

Elaxandor is unable to battle!

Buddy used a ridiculous amount of energy there, putting him below the 1/4 mark. He's breathing heavily right now.

Pokemon and orders from S4L, please.

Wait, I need some clarification. Why would Elax be intimidated by a dog he had just scared peeless?

He did roast Elax with a Fire Blast the turn before. Add to that the fact that he's severly burned. Plus, roar is just an intimidating move to begin with. It probably wouldn't have worked if Elax had been destroying Buddy this entire time, but it's been pretty back and forth between us, so Elax wouldn't feel that confident with himself.

::EDIT:: My Buddy is most likely just going to faint the next round or two anyway, either from exhaustion or damage. I can't do much with the energy I have.

There isn't a reason they wouldn't be afraid of each other if the attacks are used, and if a Pokemon has gone out of that fearful state then they would be back to normal.

Ah, it had just seemed to me like he had already asserted himself as the unquestioned Alpha. Oh, well.

Euphor, go! Use Mud Bomb then Sludge Bomb

Meh, by my calculations Buddy would've fainted way earlier but yeah (and so would Phanpy).

S4L sends out a Grimer in replacement of his fallen comrade. Buddy, on DTG's side on the field, is critical on both health and energy. He attempts charging forward in a Flare Blitz but is attacked by a Mud Bomb head on thanks to the fresher Grimer being faster. The supereffective hit causes the poor puppy to faint.

Buddy is unable to battle, DTG please send out your next Pokemon

Euphor used moderate energy, Ground energy down by 1/3. Health is perfect.

Thanks for picking up, Ryuusei ^^.

You did good Buddy, return.

Go, Gastly! Double Psychic wave please. If for some reason you can only use one, then follow up the first with a Thunderbolt instead.

Replacing the Growlithe on the Battlefield, DTG sends out Gastly to take on the Grimer.

Deciding to start off with supereffective spam, Gastly uses a Psychic Wave to hit Grimer. Grimer tries evading it with a Shadow Sneak, but that largely fails as it's extending the Shadow and not Grimer sneaking away so =/

Both attacks hit their mark, the physical Shadow Sneak only hitting due to the Shadow containing Ghost typed energy. Both feel the supereffective hits.

Gastly fires another Psychic Wave, finding it's mark once again, giving Grimer another dose of supereffective hits. Grimer fires a Mud Bomb at Gastly, which hits, thanks to it shockingly being a special attack (according to the Games anyway). It explodes in Gastly's face but doesn't really does much to reduce accuracy as the mud passes right through.

(btw because someone was complaining to me, it was the ground energy in Mud Bomb that damaged Gastly)

Going to stats...

Grimer took pretty big hits this round... His health shot down to a teeny bit below half thanks to two supereffective blasts. Energy wise, he's slightly above Gastly though. 1/3 left in Ground energy, 3/4 in Ghost.

Gastly also took a nasty hit, barely above half thanks to being in his ethereal state. Taking a suepreffective mud bomb is paiiin. Energy wise, expanded more than Gastly, being about 1/3 left in Psychic Energy.

Double Team, then blow his Shadow Ball up in his face with a Psychic.

So that was pretty uneventful.

So Grimer starts off Mimicing that Psychic while Gastly Double Teams, creating two clones. The two clones circle around Grimer and he decides to charge up a Quick Shadow Ball. Gastly notices this and uses Psychic immediately, which however, destroys his clones, as the Shadow Ball is launched, exploding in between Gastly and Grimer, both taking good damage from it.

Gastly expanded lots of energy this round, Psychic energy is drained completely and is only slightly above Grimer in health. Energy wise, a teeny bit below Grimer but still above half.

Grimer used good energy too, being very teeny above Gastly in that front. Health wise, slightly below Gastly, approaching the quarter mark. The next few rounds could decide who is defeated.

Go invisible and spam him with Thunder Punches when he least expects them. If it hits you with a Psychic and tries to use another one use Destiny Bond instead.

Use a Harden so you're not nearly as liquified. Then, as soon as you're hit the first time, Hidden Power in the direction it comes from

Grimer starts this off by immediately Hardening himself. This beefs up his defenses so the upcoming attack plan won't be a success.

Gastly goes invisible. And decides to take this opportunity to attack with a shocking Thunderpunch. However, as I don't know how he can use hands and the fact he had to charge up Thunderpunch too, this cackling of electricity alerts Grimer to it and he fires his Hidden Power at the direction of the light to throw Gastly off his attack.

However, Gastly attempts it again invisible, and Grimer sees it but isn't fast enough to evade it, being struck by a Thunderpunch but then again, thanks to Harden, he wasn't that liquified and took less damage.

Gastly took a good hit. Didn't hurt as much as it did as it is thankfully, solid due to invisibility. One round of invisibility left. Approaching the last quarter in energy. Health wise, approaching the critical mark soon. Electric 2/3 remaining.

Grimer is pretty much just slightly above the critical mark. Aside from that, energy really isn't an issue, small bit above half in that aspect.

This round, Gastly slips out of invisibility as he's now using a special attack. This time, he decides to call upon a Thunder, firing a massive burst of electricity skyward.

However, Grimer, having some priority in attacks, manages to get off a Thunderbolt to electrocute the shocked Gastly, who takes some serious damage from it. The Thunderbolt, due to Gastly being in gaseous form, shocks him for a lot more serious damage than expected and with it, faints Gastly.

Finally, the Thunder comes collapsing down, a little late as Grimer did have priority in attacking, and shocks the Grimer for massive damage and faints him.

Both Grimer and Gastly have been knocked out.

(just fyi, Gastly has 0.85 of a Hyper Beam left in health. A Thunderbolt would let it take 0.8 HB in damage, leaving it with just 0.05HB in health. However, due to the properties of being gaseous making him take 33% more damage, it was just enough to faint him)

I think the order will go this way (since DTG ordered 2nd last round)

S4L sends out Pokemon
DTG sends out Pokemon + Orders
S4L orders.

Then I'll send out Riolu.

Roar to Focus Punch. If Roar fails, then dodge his attacks with Agility.

You're almost twice as tall and weigh about 3 times more than he does. Don't be intimidated but use a Body Slam to show who's boss, then follow up with an orb of Water Pulse

Replacing their fallen comrades on the battlefield, out come Riolu and Lickitung.

Riolu immediately attempts to Roar and scare the opponent but Lickitung laughs at this. Really? A small puny thing is attempting to scare someone much more taller and bigger sized in general.

Lickitung laughs and immediately launches into a Body Slam, which misses unfortunately, Riolu rushing away with a speedy burst of Agility, not wanting some creature 3x it's weight to crush it.

Lickitung has other plans however, sending an Orb Form Water Pulse to crash into Riolu for some good damage. However, no confusion from this.

Lickitung used good energy and took no damage. Riolu took a decent hit and is into his first quarter of health already. Energy wise, less useage than Lickitung.
