Muyo, away!
So when are the Rotom forms coming? :O

The only issue I can see with introducing them would be their ghost rules, but seeing as most of the ghosts don't have defined ghost rules at the moment anyways, why are we allowed Froslass/Drifloon/etc if that's the problem.

If there's another issue, fairy nuff.

EDIT the first: Besides which ghost rules for Rotom forms seem relatively straightforward - considered solid when possessing an object.

They were written and actually posted, but Muyo had some problem with them and he was like "no we're not using them".

I dunno I thought they were fine but I wasn't an LO then.

The way I see it, they should be like this:
While bonded to an appliance, Rotom is always solid. The appliances are destructible, with Brick Break doing decent damage to them, and FC Hyper Beam Power+ blowing a decent chunk out. Finding new appliances takes a one-battle stay at the Pokemon Center or 1 SP. The appliances can float to different heights depending on how heavy they are, sort of like:
Fan: Normal Quality
Toaster/Mini-Oven: Flight ceiling about 1 foot lower than normal
Lawnmower: Flight ceiling about 1 metre lower than normal
Washing Machine: Flight ceiling about Dusclops height.
Fridge: Barely off the ground.

What do you guys think?

So you'd have to stick it in the Pokecenter or spend 1 SP practically every battle? The appliances should be a lot more durable than that since most Pokemon aren't as dense as a fridge or a lawn mower.

The problem is basically that they're both difficult to define when the animé is inconsistent and LOs have more important things to worry about. That said, there's not really any reason why we shouldn't be able to use the forms or the rest of the Porygon line.

No, in realistic battles, and not in battles where there's no Hyper Beam/Brick Break Spam. Though I have to agree... I'd bounce up the durability to Cubone Mask level.

Oh. Well I was happy with Mozz' description so iunno. I would like to be able to use them, with electric being a type riddled with Pikachu clones and other unusable things.

The way I see it, we have 5 options:
1) Mozz's rules
2) My Rules
3) Rules someone else writes up
4) Regular Rotom except for size change, extra attack, and perma-solid
5) Give up.

Yep.

Though they're not Electric/[type] yet. Still Electric/Ghost with type familiarity on the move that they get.

Oh. So I guess my 'familiar with grass energy' sig is slightly useless.

Not really, since yours has Grass moves that aren't Leaf Storm.

They will become Electric/Whatever when non-Gen V B/W moves are put into play.

Which will be soon.

Can I keep my Rotom as a Electric/Ghost when that happens and still have the Grass familiarity?

Since its in this thread and I figure everyone could benefit from clarification, are Porygon's evolutions kosher yet?

As it became a discussion in the TO, I figured I'd put it here to see if any headway could be made.

Would it at all be possible to sig Rotom into possessing other machines than just the game-specified ones? Of course a limit would be made. Really only small to small-medium appliances and toys should be available, if the rule is put into use (ie. Flashlights, jackhammers, RC cars/planes, etc.). Full size vehicles or monstous machines would be out of the question (no vehicles, WMDs, etc) as well as fictional machines (ie. Blaze's flying motorcycle). And then the dimensions of the possessed object would be taken into account for weight/height/flight ceiling (Rotom possessing a jackhammer would weigh a bit and have a relitively low flight ceiling). Type would be decided by the most logical choice (Rotom possessing a jackhammer would come out as Electric/Ground).

I just thought I'd throw it here as to not clog up the TO anymore.
