Rotom's Movepool is too shallow to find creative ways to deal damage.

Thunder Wave as it pursuits. Pursuit won't KO you. Follow with a Fully Charged Shadow Ball.

Round 15: Rotom on the run

This is why you need an appliance d:

Sensing he's got his opponent on the run, Chippy cloaks himself in that now-familiar Dark aura, another Pursuit of the ghoul being initiated. Rotom lauches a Wave of Thunderous energy as the rodent comes in, but muscles aren't in the equation, and the bubble again bursts in his face, knocking him back and his health reserves down further. Chippy drops to the ground, his muscles seizing up in paralysis from his adversary's attack.

Though paralysis doesn't really matter for his next attack, the Normal-type firing a burst of Hidden Power from his eyes, the rainbow beam smacking the fairly-close Electric-type. Knocked back a bit further through the air, Rotom uses a technique his opponent did last round, a Ball of Shadow appearing in front of him, growing slowly for a good few seconds. Chippy can only look on in fear, unable to run, before the orb is launched, bursting in the Rattata's face, ghostly winds swirling around him, dealing a heavy amount of damage.

Chippy took large damage, now between 1/2 and 1/3 health. Rotom took huge damage in exchange, now well into critical, below the midpoint of 1/4 and empty.

Chippy used decent energy, now just above 2/3, with Dark all gone. Rotom used heavy energy, below 1/2 now.

The two are about 3 metres/10 feet apart

Orders from Handy.

Confuse Ray ASAP. Follow with Thunder. Either you'll be safe another round, in which you'll be KOed, or be KOed this round, but have a last blast. Either way, good job buddy.

Round 16: RE-STORE.... REEE-STORRRRRE....

Feeling seriously beaten, Rotom fires off a Confuse Ray, which Chippy manages to dodge easily with a burst of Agility, getting up close to the plastmatic ghost in the process.

Rotom builds up energy, prepearing for a Thunderous exit, but being significantly lower than his foe in both health and energy, he takes far too long, and Chippy charges up a Shadow Ball to mid-charge faster than the poltergeist can build up his own reserves, the orb exploding in Rotom's face. After the winds clear, Rotom can be see laid on the ground, short-circuited.

Rotom is unable to battle! Your final Pokémon please, Handy!

Chippy took no damage, still between 1/2 and 1/3 health.

Chippy used decent energy, between 2/3 and 1/2. Ghost is gone now.

Pokémopn and orders from Handy.

Rattata has an annoyingly big movepool.

Good job Rotom, sorry for the whole dropping thing.

Delibird, go. QC Focus Punch into Blizzard.

Is that a potential three-mover I see there, Handy?

Skull Bash's aura should protect you from a weak Focus Punch, then Agiltiy from that Blizzard.

Round 17: Down to the wire

With his second Pokémon down, Handy resorts to his final selection, a Scyther shiny Delibird named Pinkie. The Santa-esque Pokémon stands on the ground, sack-tail at the ready to end this battle.

He starts by dashing toward the rat, fist glowing with Focus, in a rarely-seen Quick-charged version of this attack. Chippy responds by lowering his head, a white aura covering his Skull as he too dashes forward. The two attacks collide, Pinkie Punching Chippy as the Normal-type Bashes the bird. While the aura protects him, that's still an SE attack, and he takes some damage, though not as much as Pinkie, and the two are sent flying apart.

Dusting himself off, Pinkie decides to cool down his opponent, firing a Blizzard of snow and wind at the rodent, who casually dodges with a burst of Agility, though is still clipped with the powerful attack.

Chippy took decent damage, now down to around 1/4, top edge of critical. Pinkie took fair damage, a decent way from perfect.

Chippy used decent energy, now just below 1/2. Pinkie used a lot of energy, a good way from perfect. Fighting at 3/4.

The two are about 4 metres/13 feet apart

Prders from Peridot.

Fly up out of Chippy's flamewheel reach, and rain a Seed Bomb down on him. Finish with Ice Beam

Three mover, unfortunately, confirmed.

Round 18: Flight of the... penguin... thing

Chippy closes the gap on his opponent, using a burst of Agility to get up close, but Pinkie doesn't like the looks of what's coming, and swiftly manages to Fly up and out of reach, flapping his stubby wings in a peculiar fashion as he remains airborne.

With his foe out of reach, Chippy has no chance to use Flame Wheel, so doesn't. Meanwhile, up above, Pinkie reaches into his bag of presents, somehow managing to stay aloft while doing so, in total defiance of the laws of air-speed velocity that would make a Swallow carrying a coconut look fast by comparision.

Sorry, went to see Spamalot last week.

Anyways, the Delibird fishes out several green orbs, looking strangely like Seeds, which he rains down upon the Normal-type. The Grassy projectiles impact all around the rodent, exploding as they turn out to be Bombs! Chippy takes a lot of damage from the barrage, pushing his taxed health reserves even lower.

Chippy again has no chance to go for a Flame Wheel, and goes into a sulk about how unfair that is, before he finds himself clocked by a Beam of Ice energy from Pinkie's beak, which end his troubles as the frisky Rattata slumps to the ground, out cold. Sorry again, terrible unintentional pun.

Chippy is unable to battle!

Peridot has no useable Pokémon remaining!

Pinkie and Handymankg2 are the winners!

Handymankg2 is winner by KO and receives 3 KOs and 6 TP
Peridot receives 3 TP
DaveTheFishGuy receives 3.75 delicious SP for fast reffings

Great match, the pair of you. Good win as usual Handy. Peridot, you did well for a newbie, especially toward the end, but it was too late to halt the slippery slope you were on. Good job though, I'm sure I'll see you in future.

Take care, and thanks for using DaveTFG Reffings!

Sorry Peridot. 'twas no fault of yours that you lost, I was just eager for the KOs/TP/Win/levelling up mons. You performed well considering the full force attack-fest unleashed on you.

Dave, thanks as ever. They need to invent some sort of extra prize for someone being as awesome as you. And darn you seeing Spamalot. I've wanted to see that show for ages and never got the chance.

Return, Rotom, you did well, considering I dropped you. Ah well. Farewell all.
