UPN PASBL: Concept vs X-Man (Rapid Fire)

Good evening everybody and welcome to my first ever rapid fire match. I'm looking forward to this out of some strange sense of self-flagellation. Our participants tonight are Concept, who is looking for that last KO to help him reach level 2 after about a year of trying, and he of many names, the willing acceptor of the challenge and suspciously hardcore pr0n sounding, Mr. XXXXX!

This battle will be excitingly taking place on the Lawn Arena, and will be conducted 1v1 with a mere 15 minute DQ (Hopefully not for the ref though, I need to have a shower at some point tonight) and obviously, Switch=Lose as otherwise this might never end.

Would both battlers please PM me their Pokemon choice and initial attacks so we can get this show on the road.

Summary:

1 v 1
Slapstick
15 minute DQ
Switch= KO and thus Lose
Lawn Arena

The balls fly here on the beautiful but dull (see also: Leo DiCaprio) Lawn Arena, and the two Pokemon are revealed, both of whom look at home in this grassy arena; a Sentret who has no nickname, and Felt, a Treecko who most definately does.

Both Pokemon decide to go oral (no sniggering at the back) for their first attacks, with Sentret spitting a glob of vile Toxic at Felt, who counters with a blast of Dragonbreath, which scorches not only the glob of Toxic but also Sentret's tail, dealing a moderate blow to her. The upshot of that exchange of status affliction attempts seems to be nothing other than that damage, with both sides seemingly not paralysed, burned or poisoned.

Buoyed by his success in avoiding Poison, Treecko decides to try and sap some his opponent's health by the means of a Leech Seed, launching a vine laden with a big seed across the field to where Sentret...was. Looks like Sentret used her Agility to avoid getting filled with Felt's seed (I said, no sniggering!) pretty effectively, moving a fair bit closer with the move as well, ending up maybe ten feet from her opponent, ready for the next round.

Summary

Damage was only moderate for Sentret and non existant for Felt. Both used moderate energy, but in doing so avoided a variety of exotic status afflictions.

Attacks from the X-Man I believe.

Grasswhistle. If successful, Swords Dance, if not, Drain Punch.

I was sorely tempted :p. I decided I was overusing her a bit and a) you might see it coming, and b) I needed the practice with my other pokemon. GL Mr. X.

Interrupt his grasswhistling with a flamethrower, then sucker punch when he comes in for the drain punch. Snore instead if grasswhistle somehow works.

Also, Sentret will henceforth be known as Emma.

Round Two: Women don't fight fair

Felt the Sprout is enjoying the battle so far and decides to take it down a musical alley; a rather slow and mournful Grasswhistle which has the onlookers feeling a bit drowsy and even Sentret seems to be opening her mouth to yawn...oh, hang on, that's not a yawn, that's a full on Flamethrower! Sentret's attack seems to have hit home on Treecko, interrupting it's attack and toasting it's nose to boot.

More than slightly miffed by the light grilling, Treecko sprints in, aiming to deliver a Drain Punch to its opponent, but Sentret moves too quickly, ducking under the blow and delivering a Sucker Punch of her own, a low and crafty blow which deals solid damage but enrages Felt. Women don't fight fair. you could almost hear him mutter under his breath as he holds his stomach in a fair amount of pain.

Emma the newly christened Sentret sniggers at the misfortune of Felt.

Summary

Treecko has taken a fair bit of damage, a fair bit below three quarters now, but energy wise he's almost fresh. He's spitting fury about Sentret's tactics.

Emma has used a fair bit more energy than her opponent but is still in the same position healthwise as last round.

Just thought I'd mention that it was Emma who took damage in the opening round, not Felt, so Emma shouldn't be damage free as she took a dragonbreath earlier.

Anywho, nice work there Emma. Ice punch whilst we're in close, then agility to dodge the ensuing counterattack. Attract if dodging is either unnecessary or impossible.

Detect the beam, and MEGAHUMP IT AFTER IT TURNS U ON. Jk.
Grasswhistle. Shes a rodent, not some supah kuul gecko.
If by some freakish luck it works, Pursuit in glee.

Also, seeing as Mr.X's orders make it clear he saw my orders before I changed the beam to punch, I'm not sure what should happen :p.
Not that it'll make much difference to the outcome of the round, but w/e.

I'll wait for clarification of what he wants before reffing

(Read: I'll finish reffing one of my other battles)

Edit: That didn't clarify it much at all. Do you only want one move now?

Round Three: Love is in the air...

Emma the Sentret feels pretty smug with herself after the success of last round and bounds forwards, looking to add some more super effective pain to Felt's world with an Ice Punch. She swings her blue-white glowing fist at Treecko, but he makes like the matrix, Detecting the attack (Hey, lets face it, glowy fist isn't terribly subtle) and bending away from Bullet-time style.

Overruning by a few feet, Emma turns and awaits a counter attack from Felt, but as it seems none is coming she decides instead to try and Attract Treecko, swinging her hips and making suggestive mouthings at the Gecko, who raises a cold-blooded eyebrow. This little bitch just sneakily punched him in the stomach and then tried to repeat the trick to the face and now she's promising to love him long time? He never did understand women. Shaking his head sadly, Felt decides that the closest thing he's going to do to courtship is another lovely Grasswhistle, which floats across the battlefield and this time lulls Emma to sleep, leaving her curled up in a ball and snoozing like a baby.

Summary

Neither Pokemon took any damage, both used moderate energy. Emma the Sentret is off in the land of nod (and not the one with Kane in either)

Your referee is off to the shower, so the fourth round maybe slightly delayed.

Ice beam and flamethrower to jolt him out of synthesising when you awaken. He won't have time to restore too much health and energy.

Round Four: Sunshine and Showers

That's Sunshine for the battlers and Showers for me

Taking advantage of his opponent's untimely nap, Felt decides to change the weather conditions in his favour, shooting energy up into the sky to force even nicer weather than we were previously experiencing: a Sunny Day which bathes the battlers in a warm glow, making Emma smile a little in her sleep. While she sleeps, Felt quietly goes about his business, deciding to begin a lovely process of Synthesis, which swiftly thanks to the conditions restores a fair bit of both health and energy to Treecko, who is quite enjoying this round so far. He enjoys it even more when Emma fails to awaken before the end of the round, just stirring in time for the end of the round but too late to do anything or to interrupt the flow of the Synthesis, which continues unabated.

Summary

Felt had a very pleasant round, restoring about an eighth (no eighth of grass jokes please) to both his health and energy stores, meaning he's about three quarters on health and near fresh on energy.

Emma has also regained a bit of energy while snoozing, and is just beginning to stir now.

The sunshine is strong.

Round Five: Ice Beam on a Sunny Day. Seriously?

I'll be going to sleep reasonably soon, so everyone order Fire Blasts!

With both Pokemon now awake, this promises to be a much more exciting round. Emma begins the round by going for an Ice Beam on Felt, who decides to Dig underground to avoud such nastiness, which he does quite easily into the reasonably soft ground. Of course, he needn't have bothered a great deal as the conditions weakened that Ice Beam a great deal and made it more of a slightly chilly Water Gun. Either way, it only managed to water some grass and a freshly upturned Molehill (well, Gecko hill, but that's just odd)

Emma is not stupid enough to fire off her second move as an empty field however, and waits for her opponent to re-appear, which he does with a bump, knocking Emma off her tail-balance onto her bum dealing moderate damage. Angrered by the unceremonius bum-dumping, Emma uses the conditions more favourably to her advantage with a boosted Flamethrower, her second of the match. This one does a bit more damage than the last with the close range and conditions, and Treecko really felt that. Determined to fight back though, Felt smacks Emma with a Drain Punch which deals pretty good super effective damage of his own and restores a not inconsiderable amount of health.

Summary

Felt took a heavy blow but moderated it with the restoration from Drain Punch. Health is a chunk above half, energy around three quarters.

Emma took a good sized blow also but with no restoration, a bit below three quarters now, with energy a little below three quarters from some strong moves. Fire energy is getting a little low but she could easily pull off another one, maybe two Flamethrowers.

And my visitor message tells me Mr. XXXXX has carried out his threat and gone to the mall. With this in mind, I propose we adjourn until the morning (well, my morning, I think you're both American, so it'll likely be your stupidly early.)
