Mamoswine UPN PASBL: Treepandaone vs Concept (Rapid Fire)

So, here we have Treepanda one facing off against Concept, who with anything other than a loss will reach the KO threshold for level two. I hope everyone's got their Terriermon and Blue Cards handy for this heated battle, because it's gonna be RAPID FIRE!

1 v 1
Equiall
Clay (Outdoor. Standard Arena for Outdoor Battles): A basic, standard terrain. Nothing special. The arena used for the 5th round of the Indigo Pokémon League in the anime is a prime example of a Clay Arena.

I'll assume Slapstick and a 15 minute DQ unless told otherwise.

GOGO WITH THE PMS!

When Chuck released Overload into the wild, it went away into a cave and kept trainer. After a few weeks of searching, I found Overload in a bad state after picking a fight with a wild Aggron. As we went to the pokémon center, Overload started to believe in himself again and challenged Chuck in his condition. The two battled and Overload showed himself to be a perfect fighter, single handedly beating Chuck. When Chuck offered him a spot on his team, Overload declined and asked to be part of my team. Since then, me and Overload have been training harder.
Sig Pending

Discharge. If he is paralysed, Meditate, if not, another Discharge.
And so the match gets underway, Concept sending out a Misdreavus called Misdreavus, because its full name is very silly, while Treep opts for Overload, his Electabuzz.

This is a battle between different types of Pokémon. As it normally is.

Misdreavus is the first to move, emitting a bright light at Overload.

A flash of Confuse Ray! It became confused!

In his daze, Overload still has a grasp of the concept of Dischargeing energy, but not as firm a grip on the execution, being brought back to his senses as while a decent portion of the attack finds its mark, hitting Misdreavus, he also gives himself a light shock.

Shrugging off the damage, Misdreavus Calms her Mind, in preparation for future rounds of battle, while Overload, seeing his first attempt failed to inflict paralasis Discharges once more, this time getting lucky as the electricity surging through Misdreavus' body causes it to tense up.

Attacks from Concept.

Thunderwave, and maintain it to hold it in place. If it works, toxic, otherwise fire off a CM boosted dark pulse.

Also, Zora, do you not believe in summaries :p?

Clocks ticking Treep.

Sorry, laptop trouble. should be sorted.

Swagger to counter the thunderwave, then take the attack and Full charge shadowball.

Both Pokémon opt to begin this round with a Thunder Wave technique, Overload pulling his off first, his tentacles snaking around Misdreavus as she eventually manages to summon her own, tentacles strugging against each other like some kind of Japanese super-orgy. As the tentacles eventually die off, Misdreavus appears to have loosened up slightly, her previous experience of paralasis increasing her resistance to this second attempt. Firing off a series of black rings, Dark energy Pulsees out of her body, striking Overload for very good damage.

Electabuzz then attempts a Shadow Ball, which does nothing given he can't learn it.

Both Pokémon are roughly equal healthwise, each one having lost less than a quarter so far. In terms of energy, the levels are pretty much the same.

EDIT: Epic. I should start reading the pokedex more.

:p Cheers Zora.

Swagger to stop him captivating you. If it works, CM-boosted psychic to blast him back when he goes for the thunder punch, otherwise sucker punch when he goes for it.

Overload attempts to Captivate his opponent, which would probably have failed regardless but does evenmoreso as Misdreavus Swaggers about, mocking Overload's sexual prowess.

I think she's saying something about a tiny Palkia.

Wanting to dish out some retaliation, Overload forgets waiting for his foe to draw close, and charges forward, ready to Punch Misdreavus with a fist charged with Thunder. However he's quickly stopped in his tracks as a wave of Psychic energy surges forward, hitting him hard as he stumbles back.

Overload took a good hit, leaving him with about a quarter of his health gone. The individual attacks used didn't consume that much energy, but that could start to change fast if they keep up this pace of attacks.

I know I shouldn't be complaining about this, but isn't from above 3/4 health to around a quarter from one psychic a little excessive, even if it was CM boosted?

I feel like goldilocks, but isn't a quarter a little little for two CM boosted attacks :p?

Anyways. Keep up the attack with Icy wind to slow him down and hurt him, then psybeam. Both boosted by that lovely CM, of course.

Overload takes a stance to prepare for the incoming attacks, as Misdreavus breaths out an Icy Wind, chilling her foe before quickly following on by firing off a Psybeam, dealivering another decent blow to her opponent.

With his opponent finished, Overload then lets lose a Thunder, which hits Misdreavus. He then unleashes another Thunder, which hits Misdreavus, despite her best efforts to protect herself. Finally, he unleashes a Thunder, once more getting lucky as he strikes his target.

Being victim to three Thunder attacks is not very good for your health, as Misdreavus now languishes below the halfway point. On the other hand, unleashing three successive Thunders is not very good for your energy levels, with Overload quickly approaching the halfway point there, both Pokémon fatigued from the continuing succession of attacks.

Treep has used his only three move combo for this match.

I guess with Treeps departure to work this match will be delayed until next time we're all on.

I'll post now so we don't have to wait when we're all on. Shoot me a PM if we're all on at the same time and I miss it. Dunno why I would though.

Psychic to throw her off balance, then Thunderpunch.

Endure the hits to make sure you survive, then pain split, then CM boosted fc shadow ball.

Almost-as-cheap-as-treeps-three-mover-confirmed.

Also, we're all on again .

Bracing herself, Misdreavus prepares to Endure the incoming attacks, the first of which isn't exactly challenging, taking a slight hit from the Psychic but mitigating most of in due to the whole being undead thingy. Undaunted, Overload commences his second attack, charging forwards to deliver a Thunderpunch, the impact of his fist harmless to the gaseous ghost, but the electrical energy surrounded it shocking her for decent damage.

Misdreavus then links up with Overload, beginning to Split the Pain the two have experienced. The first clump of health is transfered, but in her state of Endurance, Misdreavus struggles to maintain the concentration necessary to steal more, causing the attack to be abandoned prematurely. Attempting to charge up her Shadow Ball meets with similar problems, but she is still able to focus enough to complete half the charge, which is still major damage.

Misdreavus has certainly narrowed the gap in health this round, still hovering somewhat below the halfway point, she healed off the majority of the damage she took this round and one more solid hit could easily push her ahead. However the process cost her her energy lead, which is now getting close to the same levels as her health.

Quick Attack to dodge past that ice beam, then take the power gem. Thunderpunch afterward.
