UPN PASBL: Gym Match Referee's Queue

The Ref's Queue is a simple enough system. This thread is only for Gym Leader, Trainer, and Scenario matches. Post up the details of your match, as well as any requirements for refs (Grade, etc) then wait. You'll get a referee soon enough.

Need a ref for me vs firewater. Post here if interested.

Siberia, Russia (Outdoor)
This arena is cold. Extremely cold. Often called the Cold North Pole, for a very good reason. Pokemon battles here take place on a snow filled wonderland. The arena is flat, and snow can be seen in every direction. The only exception to this is a custom lake in the middle. The Kuno family estate paid top dollar to artificially build it, and imported salt water just for it. Because of this, it is only partially frozen. The lake is fairly large with a diameter of 10 yards. The frozen parts of the lake consist of one large ice block, capable of sustaining most Pokemon upto 150 lbs, and many other smaller ice blocks. It is not recommended staying on the smaller ice blocks as their stability is questionable. The rest of the arena is just snow, with the actual ground being many yards under the snow. The snow is solid enough to support 150 lbs of weight, while heavier, non Ice types might have difficulty moving. The weather is usually light snowfall, however blizzards can appear. How often blizzards appear and how long they stay for will be upto the ref, although there should be at least 1 blizzard in a 3v3 match. Pokemon that battle here that are not used to staying in cold weather will be uncomfortable battling for long periods of time. Frostbite and freezing is a serious concern, and might occur if Pokemon uncomfortable battle for more then 10 rounds pass, less in blizzard.

The Godly Geode Gym Arena

The Godly Geode Gym

A dark cave on the face of a big cliff is the right place to house the Pokemon of the Rock Gym Leader, Tyranidos. First off, there is a fast moving river below the cliff, a good 200 feet drop from the entrance to the cave. There are sharp rocks directly below the mouth of the cave, so if one would fall, they would be struck by these sharp rocks. The cave itself is vast, large enough to hold Pokemon such as Steelix, Wailord, Snorlax etc. The light inside, however, does leave a problem for most Pokemon, as there is none. The cave is very dark, and Pokemon who are capable of seeing in the dark have a much better chance of landing a hit. The ceiling holds stalactites, which are indestructible, and cannot be broken off, so a Pokemon who gets thrown into them/flies into them will be pierced and will take damage equal to an Ancient Power. And, on the floor, there are stalagmites, but not very large ones. They poke out upwards and can certainly make it hard to walk around on the cave floor for Pokemon with soft feet, as there is no light to see where they are going. However, the thing that makes this particular cave unique is the fact that it contains a statue of the Hindu God of Destruction, Shiva. This statue of the God of Destruction is about 40 feet wide and 80 feet tall. Every three turns, he fires a boulder into the cave. This boulder is about 500 lbs, and will have no effect on large Pokemon, such as the ones that were mentioned before. The boulders will not adversely affect Pokemon that weigh above 450 lbs. There is, however, a 5% chance that any Pokemon of a medium weight, or between 100 and 450 lbs, will be pushed out of the cave by the boulders, and will take damage equal to a Hyper Beam. Finally, there is a 10% chance for any Pokemon under the weight of 100 pounds to be pushed out of the cave. The statue of the Shiva is, likewise, indestructible, though the boulders are not. And because this arena is in a cave, weather effects, except for sandstorm, are not possible. Despite being a cave, this arena is unusually hot, which will make Steel and Water types uncomfortable.

Mega Rockie Palace (Indoor, Gym Trainer arena)

Adjacent to the Godly Geode gym lies a much more standard, far less scary arena, where rookie trainers will battle DragonDance for the opportunity to face off with Tyranidos.

The main arena is standard clay, and is quite large by standards, measuring in at 250x125 feet, with a roof 150 feet above us. Fliers beware, however, as stalactites hang from the roof, and hitting one will cause an Ancientpowers worth of damage, as well as having a nasty 50% chance of piercing you, give or take some depending on how tough your Pokemons skin is. Beyond the limits of the standard clay lies a rocky, jagged terrain, completing the arenas total perimeter at 500x250 feet, and although it is fair game, non rock Pokemon will have great difficulty moving, and ones with soft feet risk injury ;o. Four, 15 foot high boulders sit on each corner of the clay, and are easily breakable, and if broken, will cause a rock slide in that corner of the arena. Smaller Pokemon risk getting crushed in the pile. Not fun . Finally, on the Gym Trainers side of the arena are small to medium sized rocks, which can be used for Rock Throws, Rock Blasts, etc. Trainers stand in battle platforms 20 feet above the action, ensuring their safety for when one of the large boulders collapses.

Special Rules: Terrain Edge, Battle Patforms, Artificial Lighting

I'll take LC's or DD's (or both if Mozz is nice).

EDIT: Made a deal with Mozz; I'll take LC's now and Treep's when his Gym Battle ends.
