Two Pokemon, One Cup: Veteran's Division: Weebos vs. Shadowshocker

you know how it goes,

2 vs. 2, Hidden squad

96 hr DQ, 1 extension

Return = KO

Since Shadowshocker PM'ed me first, Weebos you attack first.

.... a bit unclear however on the Hidden Squads, do I reveal the first pokemon now?

It's not. It's a standard 2 vs 2 match, just with Hidden Squads.

alright then, but that's not the problem, since I've got both of your first selections and teams. Regardless... (flips a coin)

Weebos to attack first, then Shadowshocker, then you know how this works and stuff.

Round 1

here in the Vermillion City gym, we have two trainers, far more veteran than I am, and both gym leaders of Fighting, and Poison types respectively. Weebos and Shadowshocker both toss out pokeballs, and orders, starting the first round of this Veteran's Division class, both hoping to be one of the last two standing, to face one of the champions from the newer trainer's division...

Orders:

[quote=Weebos]
Moody-Female Gardevoir-lvl 3
Rayje and Moody were twins at birth and they excel in battle together. They both focus on different techniques and complement each other exceptionally.
Sig Move (Special Training) Brain over Brawn
Moody's Special Attacks do 25% more damage, but her Physical Attacks do 25 % Less and take 25% more energy.
[B]
Psychic Wave, Confuse Ray
[quote=Weebos]

[quote=Shadowshocker]

Grim: Level 3 Male Duskull

The leader of Shadowshocker's Squad, Grim is a wise (though young) Pokémon that knows what to do in any situation, be it a landslide or an argument between his squadmates. Grim's high level of intelligence and mastery of his own elemental abilities makes him a dark horse in battle.

Signature Move: Skull and Cross Beam

Grim fires a powerful beam of Ghost energy in the shape of a skull-and-crossbones symbol (but still the same size as a normal, fully charged Hyper Beam), capable of causing major damage or destruction. It takes a large amount of energy, and leaves Grim very drained for a period immediately afterwards. Grim may try to attack during this time, but success is less likely. Grim is unable to use Ghost-type attacks for five turns after a full-charge Skull and Cross Beam. An alternative to this is a "quick-charge" Skull and Cross Beam, which deals damage akin to 1/2 of Ice Beam, but uses less energy and no recharge time. In reality, this attack can run the gamut from minimal charge, which would do quick, but only decent damage, to the fully charged version, which deals major damage. Depending on the charge and how much it was hit by Skull and Cross Beam, the Pokemon Skull and Cross Beam is targeted at will have a 0% to 20% chance of being scared and hence unable to attack (0% at low charge, 20% at full charge) for four turns at most. Larger Pokemon such as Gyarados and Steelix are 20% less likely to be affected this way. Grim can't use Skull and Cross Beam for more than once at full charge or twice at quick charge each battle.

Grim, start out with Calm Mind, then blast the opposition with Ominous Wind!"
[quote=Shadowshocker]

Both pokemon grimace at each other warily, while neither are on their trainer's gym teams they both are seasoned veterans, ready to give all they have to win. Moody moves first, firing a Wave of Psychic energy at her opponet, which Grim weathers unhappily, before Calming his Mind for future battling. However, Moody yet again gets the jump on Grim, firing off a Confusing Ray, the rays of light lighting up the arena, and somewhat confuses Grim. Grim, a bit dizzy and confused, moves on. Seeing something, he fires a Wind filled with Omnious looking prepositions, and is pleased to hear a shriek of pain, the Supereffective attack dealing a serious hit to Moody. However, Grim continues to wobble around, still confused.

Results:

Grim took a solid hit, but is generally alright. Meanwhile he used a decent chunk of energy, but less than Moody did. However, his biggest concern is his confusion. Granted, the Calm Mind reduced the effects by a good amount, but extremely complex orders will be difficult to comprehend.

Moody also took a solid hit, and is slightly below Grim in health, but by less than a Tackle's worth. Meanwhile she used a bit more energy than Grim, and is looking alright overall.

Round 2

Grim wobbles over towards Moody, still relatively confused as he slams into a Light Screen. irratated, he suddenly releases his Facade of confusion, and obliterates the shield. Moody simply waits for him to finish, and launches yet another Confuse Ray. Grim is too close to not see the light... and this time, even with his Calm Mind, his mind is well, in other places right now, as he's severely confused at this point, and forgets the rest of his orders.

Results:

Grim took no damage, but is severely confused, will have difficulty with most commands. Meanwhile, he used a good chunk of energy, and is still a good amount ahead of Moody.

Moody's alright, she took no damage, but she used a lot of energy that round. She is losing the energy race by a decent amount, but by nothing too serious at this time.

Shouldn't Facade have hit Moody earlier as well?

"Facade."

Watch as hes blundering about, if his attack works, dodge it, then FC SHADOWBALL, follow up with Sing, confirmed three mover possibility.

Round 3

Shadowshocker: It should have, however Grim missed due to his confusion.

The round:

Grim attempts to fight off the confusion enough to do something, but as he conjures through his addled mind, Moody begins to Fully Charge a Shadow Ball. Grim gets his act together, and charges at the ready, he finally remembering his move...

however, it was about ten or so seconds after Moody had begun to charge her Shadow Ball. Needless to say, it did a ton of damage to the charging Grim, knocking him to the ground and knocking the confusion out of him. Regardless, Grim continues on, and begins to smack the crap out of Moody with his Facade attack, she taking a large amount of damage before she manages to get some room and begins to Sing. Grim begins to get drowsy, but he's still somewhat awake as the round ends.

Results:

Grim took a massive amount of damage, and is at striking range of the Midpoint in health after that strike. However his confusion is gone, and he's only a bit drowsy at this point, but has a good chance of falling asleep soon.

Moody took a large amount of damage, but is well ahead of Grim in that aspect, miles away from the midpoint. However she used a lot of energy that round, her Ghost energy has enough for potentially 1 more FC Shadow Ball before it goes for good. Energy deficit is massive, she's also in striking range of the Midpoint in Energy.

(Striking range = a FC Hyper Beam away from the Midpoint)

Take advantage of his sleeping to Sing again.
If he sleeps, FC Shadowball again.
If he is awake, dodge crap.

Round 4

Moody shrugs, and continues her chilling song, her Singing finally lulls Grim to sleep. as Grim snores loudly, she Fully Charges another Shadow Ball, firing off the last of her ghost reserves to create another impact. Grim is awoken instantly, and he staggers around for a bit before he recovers. Suddenly, both pokemon collapse, as a large amount of energy is sucked from them. Grim still stares at the orb, focusing intently as his and Moody's health is drained, and then reapportioned between the two of them. Eventually both stand up, about in the middle of their health points, as Grim takes a few deep breaths. A bit more cheerful, he Fully Charges a Shadow Ball of his own, and pushes it at Moody, dealing a massive hit of his own, and bringing her to her knees as she slowly stands again.

Results:

Grim used a massive amount of energy, and is nearly at the Midpoint in energy if not already at it. and he also took a large amount of damage, and is still near the midpoint in energy, but is still above that point.

Moody... er took a massive amount of damage. she's below the Midpoint in health, not by much but enough to give Grim a good lead. Meanwhile she has no Ghost energy, and is at the Midpoint in energy, slightly below Grim in that regard.
