Technically yes, but seeing as how it literally learns nothing else as an alternative, I'd have to say no. Just because.

Maybe it can form a skull or a fist to use Skull Bash or Pound with. I dunno, Kuno's probably right in that it's a specific case of it (probably) not working.

I'd ref Taunt as not stopping a Transform, if that helps, Weeby.

I believe I recall reading a newbie match where this was tried and someone ruled no. I'll see if I can find it.

Dragon Rush. I hate it. How does "flinching" translate into the ASB? Would it actually stop attacks, and would this only be when the 'mon is charging at them, a l'anime, or would it flinch after being hit?

If a 'mon was planning to attack after getting hit by Dragon Rush and it flinches, then it doesn't use the attack. Seempulz.

Quick question, would a Light Screen block a Confuse Ray?

Probably not. Clay is hard mud and I can't imagine Piplup being a good digger.

So, resetting.

Do you keep your former grade, or do you have to the test again?

Ah...question. Mostly important because of Kush's Gym Match in a big arena.

Physical move over a long distance. Would the "extreme movement" required to perform the move be part of the move?

If interrupted before the move itself starts (like the Pokemon is running to use the move but hasn't actually used the move yet), would the move just stop, or would the Pokemon keep going until completing the move?

Example in question is Close Combat from 20 feet, Hitmontop jumps across, gets hit by Bubblebeam, and then performs Close Combat itself after being interrupted, or would Close Combat just fail completely? I reffed it as the former, but would like clarification/opinions.

I generally don't count extreme movement as an extra move for physical combat in most situations. I mean, in the anme 'mon are regularly leaping the length of arenas to bash each other - many of which, if their relative size compared to Ash and co means anything, are huge (assuming he's like 5 foot, championship/gym arenas are easily ~40 foot long).

I have a question regarding Toxic Spikes in a battle I'm reffing. One of the contestants claims that when Toxic Spikes hit the floor, the enemy Pokémon already standing on the floor would be poisoned as well. Is that correct?

Toxic Spikes (PO) - The user expends significant energy to shoot an orb of poison energy which splits into small spikes that leak poison gas, covering the ground in a thin, invisible layer of poison energy. Any enemy Pokémon which touches the ground for the rest of the battle will become poisoned. The only way to remove the layer of energy is to use a traditional Spikes-clearing move like Rapid Spin, hit the ground with a large amount of energy or blow it away somehow.
Eeeeeyup.

Remind me: DC Earthquake doesn't exist anymore? And what other changes have been made? Last time I reffed was in early April, maybe?

DC EQ was pretty much de facto'd back in. When we tried to get rid of it, people found a way to bring it back, so we just kinda lived with it.

Heat Wave vs. Thunder. Is it conceivable that Thunder won't be sliced practically in two, thus enough Electric energy interacting with Fire energy to result in an EXPLOSION? Reffed it that way last night, but I've just been queried on it and quite frankly I'm not convinced enough.

The two involved are an up-level Fearow and an Elekid, with no boosts to either side. Hell, here's the match if you need it.

Heat Wave would probably just refract the Thunder so that it's quite weakened. No explosion.

Well, that would be welcome news if I didn't now have to edit my reffing damn it. (Read: Cheers, Dave)
