As far as memory serves there's not yet been such a scenario in the show. Chimecho typically grapples with Wrap in the strange event it has to.

I'm pretty sure that I'm the only one who uses Chimecho, so it's really not that big of a concern.

Something that might have been pointed out, but I'm really not going to read through the thread just to check.

Slowpoke's SC claims that it has one Amnesia in effect when it enters battle. Does this mean it can't remember one attack for the battle?

EDIT: Also, I would've thought that a Voltorb was inorganic, but its SC doesn't even mention it.

To add to this here's a list of Artificial Pokemon. Voltorb has many robotic machine-like charicteristics.

Consider it a SpDef boost I guess.

That really needs to be updated. Maybe I'll do that.
Already asked that on page 1, since I have a Slowpoke and was wondering.

I don't understand why Camerupt has such a detailed, strange SC. Did I miss an episode of the anime?

AG046, or Candid Camerupt; Vicky Winstrate's Camerupt took a Pikachu's Iron Tail to the face and went on a lava-spewing Eruption rampage. (The family even exclaimed in dismay, "Oh, no! Not the face!") Granted, there has yet to be a similar scenario... but Camerupt don't appear all that often, much less to be socked in the face.

Alakazam never actually runs, it just psychically moves itself. Shocker.

All "X's Moves involving Y do like 25% more damage or more" and suchlike should all be reduced to 5%.

There's little concrete evidence for either version, perhaps aside the untouchable games, if you wanted to be brutally honest.

Firstly, just because I can prove you wrong on multiple topics doesn't mean you have to be a dick about it.

Secondly, regarding the actual matter at hand, I agree that 25% is probably a bit much, but 5% is hardly an advantage, perhaps go with 10-15% boost in terms of a Pokemon's physical advantage? It may not be explicitly stated by Brock when he says stuff about Pokemon, but a Pokemon's movepool and body shape/characteristics in general should be enough to decide if a boost should be given.

First point, we'll have to get back on that given the multiple points of variant jurisdiction, primarily based around how you're the shining, stellar example of argumentation, and your definition of what it means to "prove me wrong".

Second, given the existing history of league policy on what Brock says, this probably speaks sufficient volumes by itself, but the same history is not particularly optimistic when it comes to judging species by means of what they get in the games (unspeakable horror!).

I seem to recall someone mentioning that "if it's not broken, don't fix it", but it must have been my imagination.

I was referring to the random shit Brock says whenever Ash battles.

I'm not so sure that 25% is too much of a broken advantage, but it's probably borderign on the mark. Think about what is boosted, in general it isn't too bad; a few pokémon's biting attacks, Sandslash's claw attacks, Hitmonchan's punching attacks (ok, Focus Punch et al are a bit much). I agree that bringing it down to 5% is needless overkill.

Because for some reason I need to hold your hand...

Here is where the additional characteristics are. The two threads will eventually be merged when an LO finds time. For now, consider both threads official.

So I just noticed that Empoleon is missing a Spec Char. In both threads.

True, though that's about as useful as Feebas' SC.

I am 90% sure that I wrote one. Lemme look.

EDIT:
Empoleon: (Water/Steel) Empoleon is an extremely proud Pokemon. If it feels its pride has been challenged (an attack missed, a move was canceled, it is losing by a wide margin), it will receive a moderate boost in power to its next attack. This may only happen once a battle. It is covered in a coat of thick, steely feathers that provide it protection from the cold, allowing it to endure extreme temperatures and stay in cold water indefinitely.

Is that too broken?

Looks alright to me. Doesn't look anywhere near as broken as Snorlax' SC, that's for sure

As evidenced in Barry vs. Paul, Empoleon is considered to be the sole wielder of the Torrent ability. Not Swampert, not Feraligatr, and definitely not Blastoise.

I've actually got some ideas for Abilities that I'm still playing around with so I'm gonna hold off on adding that one in until I talk with some other LOs about it.
