"This place reminds me of the Volcanic Mountain, wouldn't you agree?" Rayne asked his horse. The first place the two of them had adventured in was in fact another mountainous region. That day the young Ponyta watched as Minerva fought an intense match with another trainer's Rapidash; inspiring him to get better. Following the skirmish the pair trained in the area for a few weeks before returning back to town for some relaxation. "Roo." Mesmenir briefly replied after reliving the time. Rayne gave his neck a playful slap, and motioned for him to steer up a slightly broader trail where they could rest for a bit. Rayne was hoping to do a little bit of training in the next clearing, for old time's sake. A high pitched squeel brought both of them back to their senses. Rayne looked at the surroundings and then spotted the source; a clearly upset fire ape. Rayne thought he would start tearing himself at the sight of this pokemon, but tried his best to keep calm. Without que Mesmenir trotted over to the Chimchar, slowly, as to not scare it. Rayne slid of Mesmenir's back when he thought the mare's presence would become too intimidating, and slowly walked closer to the fire pokemon. "Hi there. I couldn't help but notice your sour face little guy." He said with a warm smile on his face. "What happened to you? Me and my friend over there can help you out, can't we Mesmenir?" The Rapidash stomped the ground once before returning his surveillance of the area for potential problems. Still smiling widely Rayne awaited a response. |

Jeff glanced around as the wandered past as the shops seemed rather cozy. Nonetheless, he was still a bit unhappy with his previous decisions, especially the fact that he had not really brought any sunscreen with him. This he had to sort out. That and the fact that he really did not prepare any sort of equipment when going for the trip. Sort of thinking as he walked and Batteries still trying to analyze the area around them, the hissing that Jeff heard soon after was rather surprising. Apparently a sort of fight was about to happen between two cats. He had little idea as to what to do about it really, if they were strays, it would be absolutely foolish to mess with them, as he would probably only get rabies out of it. However, both cats seemed rather well-taken care of, both seemingly of a good pedigree, meaning they probably were owned by someone; yet the owners seemed to be away at the moment. Plus, Jeff was a coward. Going up to them meant placing himself between two angry cats, and if he were to even fight back, he would then either get rabies or be yelled at by the owners afterwards. No way was he up for that. He decided to walk by, and that if he sees a store that might sell sunscreen, he would check the price. |

Munchie nodded quickly, before once again turning, all the while rubbing his hand in pain. "Erm...if you get another arm-based attack, maybe you should use the other hand?" suggested Joe, which returned a "you-don't-say" look from his Pokemon. As Munchie prepared it's first attack, Joe eyed up the Bidoof. He could see it was a tough little bugger, and it had held up well so far in the battle. But he could also see the determination in his Munchlax to impress his trainer in his first battle, which made Joe smile. And without another thought, he turned his attention to bag, ready to take out a potion or two after the battle was over.

"You're right, go use Fire Spin!" Stu commanded because this was the perfect attack, the constant fire of Fire Spin would keep Kricketot occupied enough and Fire beats Bug so it was also a handy super effective attack. "Then just use Harden, cause that might defend you some more against Bide maybe...hopefully...like totally..." his voice began to trail off again after his orders but Doomsday knew exactly what he had to do anyway. |

Kris flinched a little as Zuu slid in front of her. Apparently, she had underestimated the power of the miniature electric lion cub. Zuu meanwhile was staring at the impudent little creature with a certain level of malice that was startling for such a usually cheerful creature as herself. "Uh...Zuu..." The girl began, but her Vaporeon didn't seem keen on reasoning at this point, so, with a sigh, Kris simply shrugged off her previously planned words. "Fine. We'll play for keeps then. Harden, to keep the little buggers attacks at bay. Then confuse it with a Double Team, and use Ice Beam!" OOC: In case you need them, all the TM moves used were learned here.

Kaya frowned, it definitely had the speed to dodge. But she wasn't going to back out, nor would Maduin, who was getting pretty annoyed at his attack being dodged so easily. Kaya thought for a moment before calling out to Maduin, "Maduin! Begin with a Harden to strengthen your defenses. Then use a Sand Attack, before firing a Hidden Power Poison at it!" Maduin nodded before beginning his attacks..

OOC: I'm, um... Pretty sure the zone isn't closed yet (or if it ever will be during the time that the zone is here), but if there was a message somewhere that I missed during my search declaring that the zone had been closed earlier, then tell me and I'll go delete this post.
----- Excelsior. A very strange name for a very strange island. The mystery of the island natrually attracted thousands, if not millions of trainers around the world to the island, all heading to the island in their own ways. Soruta probably chose one of the absolute worst ways to get to the island. One, if you're going to go surfing on something like a Mantine that is better suited for swimming underwater rather than skimming the water's edge, you'd better hang on for dear life, especially if you're in such a massive rush to get to the island as it could be gone by the end of the day. Two, if one ever chose to travel in such a way, taking out a map and looking at it would be near impossible as one could either get water all over the map or lose it altogether. Three, one would likely be soaked straight to hell and back unless one was surfing on a Pokemon such as a Lapras. Normally, Soruta could attempt flying to the island, but there had to be a distinct reason why she really didn't spot anyone attempting to fly straight to the island. The travel brochure did imply that flying to the island was forbidden. Despite all of this... Soruta was somehow enjoying this experience with her Mantine. She had never had such a chance to travel for a long distance with Kairu before. After all, there really weren't many situations in which Kairu could be called upon for help traveling to another area, unless he wanted to be a sun baked dehydrated manta ray on land. Screaming over the thunderous roar of the waves that they continuously plowed into, she yelled, “Hey Kairu! Where do you think we should go after we reach Neptune Cove?!” No answer – of course Kairu would be far too busy surfing to even care. Soruta screamed again, “You know, once we reach Neptune Cove, we might be a short surfing distance away from Neptune Beach, don’t you think?!” Again, there was no response, other than a slight moan from Kairu implying that this was a really, really bad time to stop and talk. Soruta and Kairu were following the famed "Artic Breeze", in which Soruta saw many other trainers crowding the ferry. The only thing they could focus on was following the ferry, and they could not pay attention to the several other trainers who also decided to just surf to the island for whatever reason they had - Soruta and Kairu would likely become lost in the sea if the ferry got away from them. Soruta sighed as Kairu pushed onwards in the ocean, wondering exactly how long this trip was going to take. Slowly, Soruta thought that she saw an island within sight, but it was possibly only an ocean mirage, whatever that was supposed to be.

Re: Excelsior
It had taken a while, but he had finally made it. Excelsior. Being a new trainer, he still had a lot to learn about the world and the wonders in it. Had he not been in the right place at the right time he probably never even would have heard of Excelsior. Thankfully that wasn't the case as he found himself disembarking from the ferry he rode over on. The warm sun shone down upon him almost invigorating him, while a gentle breeze carelessly blew stray strands of hair into his face. The place was beautiful. The only question was where he should go, now that he was here.
Taking a pokeball from his belt, he tossed it in the air releasing it's energy into the form of Spearow, whose wings opened wide as he glided back down on top of Stark's head. The trainer's eyes rolled upward as he tried to ignore the sharp little pains from Spearow's talons digging into his skull. "I should get a hat," he commented absentmindedly, "Alright Spearow, check it out. A whole new world. I was thinking you and I could go check out Sapphire Lake for a while. I heard some guys on the ferry say that there is a weird island that appears there every once in a while. I think it would be cool to at least see it while we're here. If we're lucky that is. How about it. Do you feel lucky?" Spearow began 'Cawing"loudly from his position on Stark's head flapping his wings in excitement. "Okay then," Stark responded, "Off to Sapphire Lake we go." With that, the boy and his bird headed off into the great unknown in search of new adventure. |

Re: Excelsior
Torkoal Stu: As Solrock floats up into the air, shaking the last round off the sun pokemon watches the Kricketot carefully as it growls lowly at solrock, not taking any chances this time the points of the little sun Pokemon flare up and out of nowhere a burst of flames appear and engulf Kricketot up into it, the Bug Pokemon not knowing what to do squeals in pain as the fire starts to burn at it, the twister of flame hanging in around it as Solrock hardens up preparing for the next round, what will you do?
Lilblue: Watching in fright as you see Zigzagoon fly towards your feet, you bendd own beside him asking if he’s alright, giving a little bark sounding like a yes he leaps back up to his feet as the Buneary smiles cheekily at you both, as it does the little bunny runs on forward towards Zigzagoon and leaps up into the air once again, lifting it’s arms up for a Pound it comes closer when all of a sudden a burst of dirt and sand is thrown into it’s face, landing down on it’s backside it starts to shake and rub the dirt out of it’s eyes when Zigzagoon takes the opportunity to tickle the little bunny up causing it to laugh so loudly it echoes through the meadows, taking this nice advantage further Zigzagoon stops tickling Buneary and smiles a cheeky smile of his own as shuffles his head under Bunneary and flings it riiight up into the air, the Bunneary now taking notice as it plummets back down to the ground smashing hard as it takes quiet a bit of damage and is panting pretty badly afterwards, what shall you do? Ushi: as you glance onward at the Pretty strong Shinx you think bout your next deal of plans, as you cog the ideas in your head you think of a nice way to get the Shinx down quickly, ordering your attacks Vaporeon shines brightly as it hardens itself up, the Shinx not taking any of it as it charges in once again for a tackle the little cub hitting Vaporeon who slides back a little bit, as it regains it’s footing, the blue watery beast flashes as it breaks itself into 3 more copies, looking around confused the little Shinx looks worried but charges in for one more tackle but missing vaporeon completely when all of a sudden a Beam of ice shoots down Shinx’s back and freezes h sack a little bit as he yelps out in agony as it freeze burns his hairs, what will you do? Arc: As the sandstorm brews around you, Drowzee stumbles about after the big Tackles he just received, getting up to his feet he looks around the storm for the Hippopotas that he faintly sees in the sand, running up towards him he leaps up into the air and smashes down only to have hit a sand mound when another tackle hits Drowzee from behind knocking him back down, shaking it quickly off he closes his eyes for a sec, wishing for some assistance when the image of Shedinja appears and a huge Gust attack emits from the mage, the sand slowly and finally subduing as the Hippopotas finally gets revealed and Drowze takes the opportunity to wiggle his fingers slowly back and forth the Hippo again nodding it’s head in rhythm with the fingers before it’s eyes magically drop down, what shall you do? Tessie: Looking down sternly at Inchy, you give a little Tut of disappointment as he gets whacked with a Quick attack, telling him that he should know his manners by now he look up at you and proudly chomps his jaws, apologising to the little Pachirisu you stand well back and eye Inchy warily as he stands his ground ready to take on the world in battle when all of a sudden he gets whacked with a quick attack again from Pachirisu. As he tumbles back again you sigh not wanting to really hurt the squirrel Pokemon but with Inchy being a baby you don’t want him to get injured, ordering him to attack he chomps down in approval as the Pachirisu attacks again but with a nice Quick attack of his own Trapinch gets the first hand and smacks Pachirisu away with his own attack, not taking any chances Inchy readies his little stumpy legs and runs towards Pachirisu as he Clamps down hard onto it’s tail with a Bite, swinging it around and around and not letting go as the little Pachirisu yelps in pain, what will you do? Another Fan: Deciding to take your leave from the action you walk on by the two fighting pussies, the Screeching and meowing echoing through your ear as they both go into a tackle attack on each other, the Glameow managing to stay put as the Skitty trails on down the sand hurting quiet a little, as you take your leave you stand still for a sec and have a look around for some shack to buy some goods, as you look around you hear one more LOUD Screeching when all of a sudden a THUD appears right on your head amking you slam down to the ground, shaking the throbbing pain away you look around to see the once standing Skitty knocked out infront of you, the Glameow staring right into your eyes hissing away madly at you, what shall you do? Stark: Arriving on the beaches of Excelsior you look up to see your Spearow gliding down towards you, as it perches on your shoulder you take a look around and notice all the new sights that there is to offer for the new travellers, thinking about a nice walk on the lakeside you decide to head on down to Sapphire lake, as you get here you first notice the massive deep Blue lake that screams out to anyone that arrives, it’s beauty just sitting there. Taking your firsts steps into ther area you take a look around, the trees bristling in the winds as the pokemon around you wondering and chatting away, when out of your eye you see a Nice little Buizel practicing some Water Guns on the jumping Finneon, his accuracy pretty steady as the little fish Pokemon glance on at Buiezel not looking rather pleased with him as they jump, as you look on Spearow floats down besides you and starts pecking away at couple of acorns that are near your feet, what shall you do? |

Re: Excelsior
Neptune Cove
Sylar: Rubbing his very sore hand, Munchie looks back over at Bidoof who appears to be in a lot of pain. While that last attack hasn't done Munchie any favours, it's certainly weakened Bidoof, and that's a good thing in your eyes. Not quite sure why you've asked him to use Odor Sleuth since he's perfectly aware of Bidoof's position, Munchie does so anyway before being forced to drop into a defensive position, curling up into a tight ball as Bidoof rushes in to tackle him. Still curled up, Munchie once again rocks back and forth while concentrating on using his Metronome. A moment later Munchie unleashes a pulse of dark energy that washes over Bidoof, KOing the little beaver who flips into the air from the force of the attack and is unconscious before it hits the ground. Landing belly up in the sand, you can't help but feel sorry for Bidoof as that appeared to be a case of complete overkill, though you're extremely impressed with Munchie for having pulled it out. Level up for Munchlax... Neptune Beach Alilatias: Finally arriving on the shore of Excelsior's Neptune Beach, Kairu seems pleased to be able to have the opportunity to rest for a little while. But before you actually reach the sand you notice a little blue slug skimming through the water giggling to itself while engaged in a race with a another strange looking orange Pokémon resembling an otter... Aspen Forest Dark Duskull: Oddly enough, as this battle gets underway you notice snow beginning to fall but that doesn't put you off. Very tempted to recall Tyrande as you don't want to see her hurt, you also realise this is probably not the best idea. She needs to learn how to battle sometime, and this is as good a time as any. Facing Snover, Tyrande releases a bright Flash of light, the brilliance of the sudden burst blinding Snover and resulting in it failing to hit Tyrande with its next Powder Snow as she dashes to the side, evading the brunt of it. Moving in behind the tiny tree Pokémon, Tyrande scratches it, her claws shredding a couple of leaves off its stout body. Feeling the direction from which the attack came, Snover turns and releases a Razor Leaf, but Tyrande is once again too quick, skittling around the side of it to avoid being hit before lashing out and scratching it again. Snover is well and truly blinded right now, but the more damage it takes the stronger the snow begins to fall. There very well could be a full-force snowstorm ahead, so Tyrande is going to have to use its temporary vision impairment to her advantage, and quickly, if she has any hope of winning this battle... Mt. Sierra John's Knight: Taken aback by the unexpected brutality this little toad is exhibiting, it takes only a moment for you to decide you're not going to allow it to bully your newest teammate. Hades steps forward, prepared to battle, which catches Croagunk's attention. It inadvertently finds itself in trouble though, as the moment it makes eye contact with Hades it finds itself caught up in his Leer attack. Taking this opportunity to make the first move, Hades rams straight into Croagunk, hitting it with Headbutt resulting in the little frog falling flat on its butt. Quickly regaining its feet, Croagunk attacks with Astonish, before Hades retaliates with yet another Headbutt... Dark Fire: Chimchar looks up at you upon hearing your voice. Contemplating your words for a moment, it holds up a small clay jar it's holding in its hands. The jar has some symbols inscribed upon it, and you while you're not exactly sure what they are or what they may mean, you can tell it holds some kind of significant value. There is a crack in the bottom of it that Chimchar is pointing at, and you can tell straight away this is what it's so upset about. Whatever meaning the jar has, Chimchar has managed to break it and will be in a lot of trouble if he doesn't fix it right away... Rainforest Wayne: Listening to your heartfelt apology, Burmy's eyes light up upon realising you hadn't meant to harm it. It appears to be delighted by the fact you're willing to allow it to accompany you, and quickly follows alongside you and Sasan when you continue to venture further into the rainforest. Sasan seems intrigued by your little tag along friend, unable to keep from staring at this strange little creature who seems delighted by the fact you've readily allowed it to travel with you. Some time later, you come across a small clearing in the forest and spy a little Cherubi happily bouncing up and down on a pile of soft leaves... S_M: With your attention now caught by two new Pokémon, you quickly mull over your options before settling on a plan. Ignoring the injured Chatot for the time being, you decide to have Absol focus upon Starly. He swiftly moves into action, attempting to Leer Starly down which isn't an easy task in itself considering the ferocity of the birds' attack. He eventually gains eye contact though, Starly dropping to the ground, motionless while caught up in Absol's mesmerizing stare. Absol then unleashes a Razor Wind toward Starly who breaks free of the his leering gaze, but not before taking some damage. It retaliates with a Quick Attack before Tackling Absol who responds by firing off several electrical bursts of energy, his Shock Wave causing heavy damage to the small bird who stares back at him, Growling fiercely. With both flying Pokémon now quite weak, it appears you have a choice to make... Phantom Desert Dae~Maker: Coriolis isn't about to let a carnivorous plant get the better of her, and thrashes her tail about wildly in an attempt to dislodge the parasitic plant. Unleashing a misty stream of dragonbreath in the hopes it will loosen Carnivine's hold on her, she soon discovers it isn't working as the little plant is still latched on firmly. Her Strength is a little more successful, for as she whacks her tail onto the ground, Carnivine is dislodged, and it goes flying, landing on the ground not too far away. Carnivine then stands stock still, using Growth to draw in energy from the sun in preparation for its next attack giving Coriolis the chance she needs to move in and exact her revenge, Crunching down on Carnivine's head. Ouch... Radical Edward: Thinking this is your lucky day, it's quite possible you may just be right considering Gog's type advantage over the little fighting toad. The desert heat doesn't seem to be doing it any favours either, and you can't help but wonder what it's doing in an environment such as this when it's plain as day Croagunk is completely ill at ease with the desert temperature. Gog begins the battle by firing off a light blue beam of psychic energy, his Confusion dealing a surprisingly large amount of damage to Croagunk before he Teleports behind it and sends a burst of electrical energy skyward. A thunderclap is heard overhead before it streaks straight back down to earth and right toward the little toad, but Croagunk is too quick, using Astonish to not only evade the attack, but to deal some light damage to Gog as who is helpless to evade the attack... Sapphire Lake Jonouchi: While Kaio continues using Uproar to scare Starly off, Shellos dives beneath the water to escape. Starly, seeing its friend is now safe, gives one loud SQUAWK! before zooming off into the treeline leaving you sitting in the middle of the lake wondering what has just happened. Fuming over losing the little slug, you're ready to sputter all kinds of obscenities when some raucious laughing catches your attention. Turning to see where it's coming from, you see the Psyduck you'd swept through earlier, rolling around in the water in a fit of hysterics. It appears they're highly amused by Shellos' escape, especially considering that particular little one is quite friendly and had only fled because you'd scared the living daylights out of it. Had you approached it in a more friendly manner, you may have been more successful with your capture attempt. Unfortunately you're not finding the situation quite as amusing as they are and turn back toward the lakeside only to spy two unfamiliar Pokémon drinking by the lake. One appears to be a little purple skunk, and the other a brown rabbit... Sandaa: Upon watching Mantine burst free from his Pokéball, Buizel decides it's going to make the first move, streaking forward and releasing a Sonicboom. The windy attack shoots past Aero who had no idea the attack was even coming, distracting him just long enough for Buizel to move in with Quick Attack. While not exactly sure what he's just been thrown into, all Aero can do is obey your instructions, and so releases a Supersonic, the high-pitched wail completely disorienting the bully Buizel and confusing it. It attempts another attack, but only succeeds in confusing itself even further giving Aero the opportunity he needs to ram into the otter Pokémon with Tackle. Buizel is sent flying closer to the edge of the lake, and if he keeps this up may even be able to get Buizel onto dry land after all... ZoraJolteon: While Cherubi is breathing heavily and badly burned, it's pretty clear that it's far too weak to fight off a capture attempt. With this in mind, you make a strange selection as far as Pokéballs go, but it will nonetheless do the job and so you throw the blue and yellow Thunder Ball at the pitiful little grass type. Watching while it's sucked into the ball, you wait with baited breath while Cherubi struggles with every ounce of energy it has, the Thunder Ball rocking wildy on the ground for a good ten seconds before finally locking with a ping! signaling your successful capture of a Lv.3 female Cherubi... Eon: Nodding in response to your request, Dawn quickly communicates with Piplup, letting it know you're only interested in helping it. At first Piplup doesn't seem too convinced, but upon calming down a little realises your intentions are pure and stops struggling so that you may help it. Upon approaching the little penguin you can see that it has some fishing line tangled around its legs which appears to have cut it quite deeply in several places due to its struggling, but just as you reach out to begin untangling the wire, Piplup shrikes loudly, it's eyes widening with fear while it stares right over your shoulder. Turning around, you notice a rather hungry looking Glameow approaching you, obviously attracted by the sound of Piplup's prior panicked cry. Glameow doesn't seem too scared of you either, and is moving in quickly, prepared to drag Piplup off into the bushes to feast upon... Dragon 11: At the mention of Mirage Island, Buizel's expression turns from one of friendliness to one of wariness. Glaring at you through narrowed eyes, it turns its back to you, dives beneath the surface of the lake, and disappears. Well, that didn't go very well... Shrugging off Buizel's strange behaviour, you decide you may as well explore the area now that you're here, and set off, staying close to the water. A few minutes later you spy a little tree that appears to be walking along the lakeside... Waterlight: Not wanting to alarm Finneon, you discreetly remove Atlantis's Pokéball, releasing him into the lake. Startled, Finneon initially swims several metres away, but upon seeing that Atlantis has no plan of attacking, it begins to move closer. The two circle around each other for a few minutes, examining one another carefully, before Finneon approaches Atlantis, seemingly whispering something in his ear. Atlantis appears astounded by whatever it is Finneon has to say, looking out into the middle of the lake then back at his trainer. It appears Finneon may know a secret, but right now it's seems to more interested in playing... Loki: Soaring over top of Excelsior's Sapphire Lake upon Gyarados, the beautiful sapphire blue water seems to be calling you. With Salamence coming in to land on the grass beside the lake, you notice several other trainers in the vicinity which isn't all that surprising considering all of the hype in the media surrounding this strange new land. Looking around, you begin to wonder what to do first when a rippling in the water catches your attention. Moving closer to the water you notice a tiny blue slug like Pokémon sitting amidst some reeds by the side of the lake, but when it sees you looking at it, it turns and begins swimming out into the middle of the lake where it believes you cannot harm it... Bethla Meadows Pearls Perap: Though you're only asking Buneary if it wants to battle, the expression on your face tells the tiny bunny you're not really giving it any choice in the matter. It's entire demeanor changing from happy to wary to annoyed to angry in only a split second, you begin to wonder if challenging this rabbit was such a good idea after all. Buneary stares back at you, eyeing both you and Taillow, its floppy ears twitching while its eyes sparkle evilly. It then nods, agreeing to your challenge... Joshua: The sight of Shinx limping pitifully along the trails tugs at your heartstrings, and you immediately decide that you're not about to let the Combee following it to hurt Shinx any more than it has already. Michael shares your sentiments, immediately responding to your instructions, using Quick Attack to surprise the little bee. Combee is shocked alright, and has no chance at all to retaliate before it's hit with a Thundershock causing it to drop to the ground. Completely confused as it wasn't even aware anyone was watching it let alone preparing to attack it, Combee groggily lifts itself back into the air, looking around for its attacker before spying Michael. Just as it begins flapping its wings to retaliate with a Gust, Michael unleashes his Psychic attack resulting in Combee being thrown backward and into a nearby tree trunk. Combee looks between Michael and Shinx, then obviously decided to cut its losses, turning around and flying off into the distance. With the immediate threat now out of the way, it's time to attend to Shinx who is now laying on the ground, curled into a little ball, too weak to move on... Lee-san: Absolutely stunned by this unexpected turn of events, you stare at Kricketot for a few seconds before realizing you'd played right into its hands. Your only consolation is that Guts had managed to inflict a good deal of damage before he'd been KO'd, or this never would have happened. Determined to exact your revenge, you release Jolteon who stares curiously at the little cricket, wondering how on earth this tiny creature had just managed to defeat his larger, and much more powerful, teammate. That's hardly the issue though, as he now needs to finish off this cheeky little bug who is staring at him with a rather smug glint in its eyes. While Kricketot once again knuckles down with Bide, Nuray unleashes his Thunder Wave, the strands of electrical energy surrounding and binding Kricketot, paralyzing it. Following up with Aerial Ace, weakening Kricketot even further, Nuray is surprised to find that Kricketot has already healed from the paralysis. Growling, Kricketot once again begins Biding its time before being struck in the gut with Nuray's Thunderbolt attack. Kricketot certainly isn't looking too crash hot - it's rather weak now, but it's certainly a fighter so it's unlikely it'll give in too easily, if at all... Muyo: Sighing deeply, you take the small glass vial from the wannabe ballerina before sitting yourself down and obligingly applying the polish to Mankey's toenails. Mankey is impressed with the job you've done, shoving its hands in your face next, and while you frown at the little monkey for daring to waste your time, you apply the gaudy pink polish to its fingernails as well. Upon completing your task, you hand the bottle back to Mankey who then presents you with pale pink lipstick, blush and eyeshadow. Atiro is most definitely amused, especially considering this Mankey is very much male, and is finding it extremely difficult to refrain from giggling. After several more minutes are wasted applying makeup to your new transvestite friend, he hands you a little pink bow which you tie in his hair before he takes back his belongings and prances off into the field. With Mankey now out of earshot, Atiro is giggling hysterically, unable to contain herself any longer. Frowning, you hope Mankey hasn't spread word of your good deeds to its friends, as an unwelcome vision of dozens of mentally disturbed monkeys rushing you with various cosmetics to apply really does not appeal to you. Convinced that Excelsior truly is a very strange land, you set off into Bethla Meadows hoping to find at least one of the reportedly new Pokémon who dwell here when you spy a Teddiursa licking something off a nearby tree trunk while a little orange creature buzzes around its head, seemingly unhappy with Teddiursa's presence. Another Fan: You're now in Arn's group.

Zak felt rather stupid referring to the fluffy and seemingly-soft ears of the Rabbit pokémon as 'lethal' but they were, from what the pokédex had told him. Standing back a few steps, Zak watched Taillow as she began to initiate her attacks whilst the Buneary looked ready to bounce at it at any moment, it could do all manner of damage. "Good luck Taillow, your first battle...let's hope it's a productive one!" Zak smiled, giving a swift thumbs up to the TinySwallow pokémon, knowing this would boost her morale and ready her for what was to come.

Flapping its wings furiously, the small bird rises into the air and wastes no time in rocketting forward, white energy trailing from it as it retaliates with a Quick Attack, then a Tackle in quick succession. Absol wastes no time in striking back, electrical energy gathering around its scythe and sending the electrical tendrils through the airborne target, quickly making its way through the small bird's system, to which the Starly responds with a Growl attack. Now looking upon the situation at hand, Stephen has a choice to make. Shall he go after the Starly, or the Chatot? Pondering, Stephen makes a decision. Reaching into his bag, Stephen pulls out a small, crimson and white orb, which expands to quadruple in size as he pushes the small button on the front. "Absol!" Stephen calls, "Great job so far! Only a little bit more! I want you to use your most powerful Shock Waves on the Starly - it shouldn't take too much, but use as many as you have to to take it down!" Stephen readies himself to toss the Pokeball at the end of Absol's attacks, whether the Starly faints or not.

"Well, I guess I actually do have to find a Pokemon Centre now, instead of just waiting until I accidentally come across one," he said, and he looked around for a minute, before finally realising he didn't know in which direction the Pokemon Centre was. So, deciding he'd just go in a random direction, he walked in the direction of the way he was already facing, looking all over for the healie-dealie-Pokemon Centre. woo >>;

There are certain things one does during situations where one is completely out of one’s mind in panic and where they have little time to think, one of the most common things I believe people do, is run. Perhaps not literally, they might move to a different country, or avoid someone, but in Jeff’s case, it was fairly much as expected. However, one thing was surprising, in an odd fit of heroism, assumedly caused by simply not thinking, he decided to grab the injured kitten as well. All this went rather quickly, as he got up, grabbed the kitten, and with a crack in his voice yelled to Batteries, “Tackle the cat and effing move!” Before starting to run for the nearest pokemon centre. |

"Ok Coriolis," Cried Grey to his instect-like dragon, "this is waht we need to do. Use guerilla tactics by flying high and out of range, then swooping in with a close attack. It's upped its power with some solar energy, so beware a Solarbeam at any time. I want you to fly around the carnivorous weed while unleashing a Screech to try distract it. Then, after about two full rotation, dive in with a Fly, followed by a sweeping Ice Punch. That should deal some nice damage." Knowing that his Flygon would do her best, Grey watched with anticipation and extreme excitement as his first battle with a creature of Excelsior moved into its more serious rounds.

"God damn it." he said. "I just had to act like a loon and chase that thing." "Swampert?" Kaio said. "It's okay, Kaio. You tried your best. I was so close, too." They soon see a Psyduck laughing at them. Probably one of the ones that Kaio bowled over with his Muddy Water earlier. Ricco can't help but to throw a raspberry at him in annoyance. Suddenly, he sees two Pokemon nearby. He seemed to recognized both of them in his studies about Sinnoh Pokemon. One of them was a Stunky and the other was a Buneary. He thought that Shellos may have been a failed attempt at pleasing a certain SOMEONE.....but these two were fine. He only wanted one, though. "Kaio." Ricco whispered into the swampert's ear. "Get me a little bit closer to them. I think I might have something that will get them to battle me." "Kaio should they accept, use a Water Gun on the Stunky and follow it with a Tackle." Ricco takes out a Level Ball and looks at it. "Kain, you too. Use a Stockpile and go straight into a Spit-Up on Buneary and then use a Thunderpunch, should they accept. If they run, attack them anyway. I'm not having two new Pokemon run on me again." Ricco launched the Level Ball in the air and out came a Mawile, ready for battle, as it lands a little bit away from them. "Buneary and Stunky, We challenge you both to a battle!" Hoping this will be "Less scaring the daylights out of them"-y, he wanted a Sinnoh Pokemon so much! He awaited their response.

"Nice," mocked Aero, as he but his shoes and socks in his backpack and waded through the beautiful blue water. "Oh, well, this place is beautiful, lets just stick around here for the rest of the day and he out tomorrow." Aero looked back to see Sandstorm nod. Then he smiled and continued, "Lets try to find a good place to camp out." With that, the duo set off. Aero gazed off at the water, never one to give up on his hopes and dreams. His mind got to thinking about the lake's mythical island. Without looking away from the lake, Aero commented, "That Buizel freaking out when you brought up Mirage Island... I think it's a sign it actually does exist... Maybe..." Flygon banked down and glided down to where Aero was looking and nodded. The Aero continued, "Yeah, I guess all we can do is ask the locals." Then he looked forward to see what looked like a walking tree. After looking it over, he concluded, "I think its a pokemon." But by that time the Flygon was already closing in with the pokemon. He sighed, maybe this one will be more open. "Hi, I think we're lost. We're supose to meet a friend on Mirage Island, but we can't find it. Can you tell us where it is," asked Sandstorm with an out-of-charistic smile, then thought to himself, "Please let this work... I'm starting to get bored." EDIT: Forgot Sig |

Nuray was certainly doing his best in this battle, and Kricketot didn't seem to be doing much besides Biding again..if he could end the battle quickly, his Jolteon wouldn't suffer any damage. "Well done Nuray, you're doing great! This round will be the last one for sure..start by blinding Kricketot with Sand Attack, then hit with another Thunderbolt. Then, hopefully finish it with your Iron Tail attack!" Rummaging through his backpack, Lee found what he was looking for - a Pokeball. No matter how what the little bug was gonna attempt, after Nuray finished his attacks, Lee would throw the Pokeball at Kricketot and then, this crazy battle would be over for good.

"Atlantis, play with Finneon a few minutes more but try and make small hints to try and make Finneon show us it's secret," Relicanth responded with a quick nod then turned back to where Finneon was waiting. Tom pulled his bag onto his shoulders and awaited any further information from the small fish. . . OOC: Sorry for the slightly short reply.

Looking down at Kairu, she said, "Hey Kairu, I know you're a bit tired, but look at those two Pokemon over there. One looks like a blue slug, and the other looks like an orange otter, right? Or am I just imagining stuff?" Kairu was too busy resting to respond, but Soruta could tell that he had noticed the two little Pokemon off in the distance, just swimming around as if they were racing and having a damn good time... "Okay, so I'm not imagining stuff, and this island is the real deal... I hope," Soruta muttered while she was looking for her Pokedex. All the while, she was worrying about little things like, "Did I ever get that Pokedex upgrade from those officials, and are these things waterproof?" She finally managed to find her Pokedex in her little backpack, opened the Pokedex, and held it out towards the direction of the two Pokemon. An image of the blue sea slug appeared on the Pokedex's screen, and a female robotic voice began to call out from the red piece of machinery. "Shellos, the Sea Slug Pokemon. It lives among bodies of water. Its colors and shapes differ from region to region. Two different types have been confirmed thus far." After the voice was done talking about Shellos, a picture of the orange otter appeared on the Pokedex's screen, and the same voice called out from it once more. "Buizel, the Sea Weasel Pokemon. It swims by rotating its two tails like a screw. It has a flotation sac that is like an inflatable collar. When it dives, its flotation sac collapses." Looking back down at Kairu, Soruta whispered, "Did you hear that Kairu? Shellos and Buizel... You know, getting to this place was pretty tiring. I'll get off of you, and make my way to the sand. You should join in their little race as well, although considering your size, they'll probably be frightened by you instead and attack. If they do attack, or something else attacks you, just use the speed of your Agility to dodge incoming attacks and watch what happens next, alright?" In a way, Soruta was rather excited to see what happened next. She had just reached this island and she already came in contact with these mysterious new Pokemon...

Feera made sure he had everything he had brough with him, and got off the boat, ready the explore this mysterious land. With the pokéball of Nookie ready in his hand, he mutters a few words under his breath, and in the blink of an eye releases the owl, who after a small explosion of sparks appears in the air, flapping its wings.
"All right, you know what to do, Nookie," Feera says and looks at his feathery friend. "We're headed towards Mt. Sierra, that sounds like an interesting place. And I want you to act as a look out, should anything come our way." Nookie hooted in acknowledge, and flew a bit higher. Even though Feera wasn't sure anything on this island really could harm him, at least in the place he was heading to, but he didn't want to take any risks, knowing full well that there were pokemon who could take him and his pokémon out in a single hit.

"I need you to keep a look out for anybody who wants to come near here. I don't want the little fellow to get in trouble just yet." Mesmenir nodded and began circling the area at a steady pace. Rayne watched him for a bit before returning to look at the Chimchar. "I got a plan, you just wait and let my friends take care of it. Tallon, come on out." Within a blink of an eye his Weavile was standing in front of him. Rayne still needed time to adjust to the change in her appearenece. She was a bit taller then before, darker and her 'weapns' underwent a major upgrade. If someone had thought she was intimidating before ... they had better take a look at her now. All in all he concluded the new image fit her nasty personallty, he would soon get used to it. "Tallon, I need some help." The Wevile smirked at the obvious remark, but patiently waited for the commands. "I'm assuming this jar was made in some place nearby, so they probably used local clay. Whether this is true or not I need you to use your Dig attack until you find some clay. Grab a handful of and bring it up. Do it fast, I don't know how much time we have, but not too fast as to not miss out on a clay deposit." Tallon looked around suspiciously, spotting the Rapidash several yards down from them. She looked back at her trainer, as if to ask what sort of trouble they were up to, looked at the Chimchar, shrugged and walked off to find a suitable place to dig. Once she found the spot Rayne whistled to Mesmenir. "Once Tallon returns with the clay, you'll need to help me harden it. I'll fill in the crack, and then you can breathe some fire for us. Aim a few feet above the jar. This way the heat will reach the clay, but not crack the rest of it. For now return to scouting." Mesmenir neighed, and galloped back to his post. The last piece of the puzzle was the Chimchar of course, and so Rayne knelt beside it and smiled. "Hey buddy, you doing ok? Would you mind letting me handle the jar so I can place it in a safe place? If you'd like you can help my Rapidash with the heating, he might tire after a while. Hopefully we'll be finished soon, and then you can return it to whoever it belongs to. How does that sound?" Rayne asked politely, making sure the Chimchar wasn't feeling threatened by Rayne. |
