Sludge Wave Coast- Keith's New & Improved Secret Base!

As Danny soon found out, telling his Pachirisu to dodge Fury Swipes was out of the question- Zoom was simply too fast. So he went on the defensive instead, ordering a Defense Curl that started to work immediately, mitigating the damage Zoom was dealing out. THey then followed up with a Thunderbolt, and that stopped Zoom in her tracks. The Furret was no longer rushing about, but she didn't look about ready to give up just yet.

"Zoom, quick, use Coil!" Terri ordered, at which the Furret coiled up her long body, powering herself up. "And follow up with Brutal Swing!" commanded Terri.

Oof. She's out to increase Zoom's speed. he thought. "Nuzzle, dodge that Brutal Swing, then use Thunderbolt, then follow it with
Growl!" He shouted, as the Pachirisu followed through with this attack. A double ensemble, The Pokemon jumped into the air, dodging the Swing, then releasing a second bolt of Electricity. Afterwards, Growling to lower Zoom's raised attack.

It was a mark of the speed of the Pachirisu species that Nuzzle was able to avoid the Brutal Swing, but even then, it was only just barely done, to the point where it almost looked as though the attack hit anyway. Zoom was forced to take yet another Thunderbolt, but although it did definite damage, it also just seemed to make the Furret even angrier.

"Dodge that Growl, Zoom!" Terri ordered. "Use Dig!"

"Fur!" grunted Zoom, burrowing beneath the battlefield in about the time it takes one to blink. The Growl attack echoed uselessly over the battlefield while Zoom was digging beneath it. And now the Pachirisu would have to look out, a super effective blow could be coming at any time...

"Dig? I've got just the thing." Danny smirked, as he called out his orders.
"Nuzzle, jump in the air, then use Bide! Then with the Stored Power from the Dig, blast Furret with a Thunderbolt!"
Quick to action, Nuzzle jumped in the air, anticipating and tanking the attack, before blasting Zoom with a Thunderbolt.

Nuzzle took the attack. Jumping didn't do much for it, as a Pachirisu could only jump so high, and definitely not out of range of how high a Furret could go. As it used Bide, it took the super effective blow from Dig, but continued to focus, unable to comply with the order to use Thunderbolt right away, due to the nature of the Bide move.

"Then let's finish it off while it's charging!" declared Terri. "Zoom, Slash!"

"Furret!" exclaimed Zoom as she, well, zoomed right up to Nuzzle and slashed the Electric-type with astounding speed. The Pachirisu, however, was not knocked out by this... and then came the blast of energy, doubling the damage.

"Fros Froslass!" Laugh declared upon seeing Zoom unconscious on the ground. She gestured to Nuzzle, indicating that the Pachirisu won, though judging by how much damage it had taken so far, it seemed to be a very narrow win- you could count its remaining hit points on one hand, from the look of things.

"Zoom, undo," said Terri, holding out the Poké Ball and withdrawing her Furret. "Thank you very much- you did great," she murmured to the ball before putting it away and taking out another ball, this one made of steel. "A good start," she grinned to Danny. "But we're just getting started, too!" And she threw the ball. "XXXXX, engage!" she exclaimed, this ball splitting open to unleash a Bronzor who eyed its opponents with an unreadable expression.

"BRONZOR," droned XXXXX.

"Let's finish it! Tackle attack!" Terri ordered, with XXXXX launching itself forward with zero hesitation.

"Nuzzle, just try to dodge it, you'll do well no matter what you do!" Danny said. Nuzzle tried to dodge it, but eventually didn't time properly, securing Terri the win, for now.
Danny's left hand reflexed unto a Luxury Ball.
"Wisp, let's do this!" he said, as he threw the ball into the air, the white energy materializing into a white candle, dressed in a Wizard's get-up. The Litwick dramatically threw off it's cape, as it removed it's hat and dropped his wand.
"Now, Litwick, Ember, and then Astonish!" A small flame flew from the head of the Candle Pokemon, scorching the Bronzor fiercely, as Litwick crept up close to Bronzor, before jumping straight at it, both moves dealing a good deal of damage.

Nuzzle made a good effort, but ultimately had taken too much damage to be able to dodge this last move, and Tackle KO'd it. Danny then sent out Wisp, his Litwick, eliciting a mysterious smile from Terri. "Take the Ember and use Shadow Ball!" Terri exclaimed.

"BROOOONZOOOOR," droned XXXXX. The Bronzor took the Fire move, but even though it was technically super effective, the special Heatproof metal from which XXXXX was made blocked the worst of the Fire move. It then charged up and launched a Shadow Ball at the oncoming Litwick in an attempt to intercept the Astonish.

"Litwick's in big trouble!"Danny shouted. Nonetheless, the Shadow Ball hit, but of course didn't faint this defensive Candle Pokemon.
"Now, Wisp, Ember again, then use Endure, just in case!" Danny said, as the Litwick carried out it's duties, shooting a small flame, then buckling down, ready to Endure anything.

Shadow Ball landed, and while Wisp didn't faint, it wasn't looking too good for the little sentient candle.

Terri smirked as XXXXX took another Ember, and it was about as effective as the last one. "Use Ancient Power!" Terri commanded.

"BRONZOOOOOR," droned XXXXX as it fired off a sphere of primitive energy, just as super effective as the Shadow Ball, and it was very likely only due to the Endure that Wisp hung on in the first place.

"A bad matchup," grinned Terri. "Most Steel-types aren't good at dealing with Fire attacks, but XXXXX isn't most Steel-types! Now! XXXXX, Confusion!" she commanded.

"Wisp, Astonish!" Danny said, quickly. Litwick sped quickly, suprising the Bronzor, then dodging the Confusion smartly, before returning to his side of the field.
"Now, Endure!"

Sudden and extremely well-timed use of Astonish spared Wisp from the effects of Confusion, landing a decent hit on XXXXX before he prepared to take the next attack.

"Not bad," nodded Terri. "But how will you deal with this? Hypnosis!"

"BROOOOONZOOOOOOOOOOR," droned XXXXX, eyes flashing with a curious energy. If Wisp made eye contact, he was as good as asleep.

"Litwick, quick, eyes closed!" Danny said, happy because the attack wouldn't land. "Now, Minimize!" Danny knew that Minimize did not require aim.

Danny was quick to react to the command, ordering from his Litwick perhaps the single most effective defense against Hypnosis; closing one's eyes. They then followed up with Minimize, making Wisp quite small and difficult to see.

"BRON... ZOR..." XXXXX murmured, attempting to stay focused on Wisp's location.

"Get it now, XXXXX!" Terri exclaimed. "Psyshock attack!"

"Good work, Wisp! Now, Minimize, then Astonish!" Minimizing, Wips quickly avoided the attack, before going for a surprising strike, which did a good deal of damage.

Wisp went for another Minimize, avoiding Psyshock completely. "BRON... ZOR..." XXXXX droned nervously.

"Stay focused, XXXXX!" Terri called. "Spinning Confusion, right now!"

"ZOOOOOOOOOOR!" XXXXX responded, spinning in place with dizzying rapidity, eyes gleaming all the while as it let loose flowing psychic power in all directions pretty much at once. Terri grinned- Minimize or not, Wisp was gonna have to get in close to land that Astonish, and even if it did hit, she and XXXXX didn't see how the Litwick would be able to avoid this one, with waves of psychic power being unleashed in a spiral all around the Bronzor.

"Wisp, no need to dodge, just use Minimize, then Astonish!"
The repeated amounts of Minimize was sure to give Litwick to dodge most moves, but not Confusion. Taking the hit, Litwick Astonished Bronzor, retreating at lightning speed.

Wisp was able to land the Astonish, but at this point, the momentum of using the move was all that was keeping it in motion. Taking the hit from Confusion was the straw that broke the Numel's back- after all, after having had to use Endure several times, Wisp had been on his last final hit point for some time now, and now that was gone.

"Fros fros Froslass!" Laugh ruled, gesturing to the still-floating Bronzor. Tired as XXXXX looked, it was still conscious, and the same could not be said for Wisp.

"Oof, you did well Litwick." Danny said, zapping the Pokemon into it's Pokeball. Then he proceeded to look at his shoulder.
"Alright, Poker, let's finish this!" Danny said, beckoning the Slowpoke to land on the field, which it did promptly.
"Now, let's show Bronzor your Curse, following it with a Zen Headbutt, the normal formula, shall we?" Danny said, as the Slowpoke stared back, nodding it's head in understanding.
It stayed in place, buffing it's Attack and Defense, but such an attack couldn't go without a drawback, which was a drop in speed. It then ran towards the Mirror Pokemon, sparkles collecting at it's forehead, before it slammed into the Mirror, dealing rather noticeable damage, despite the fact that the attack wasn't very effective.

Danny was forced to withdraw Wisp, and he sent out Poker, his faithful starter, as his last Pokémon. Terri regarded the Slowpoke with a mysterious, unreadable expression. It could very well have Own Tempo, she reasoned, so Confuse Ray would surely be a risky move. "XXXXX, Shadow Ball!" she ordered.

"BRONZOR," droned XXXXX, firing off the Ghost move as Poker ambled forward almost in slow motion. The move hit, and hit hard, but the Slowpoke was undeterred and landed the Zen Headbutt all the same. However, it was clear that Poker had taken the harder hit.

"Good job, XXXXX!" grinned Terri. "Now follow up with your Ancient Power attack!"

Danny was barely fazed by the super effective hit, and so seemed Poker. In some quick action, he asked Poker to perform the formula.
Understanding, Poker proceeded to use Curse following it up with a second Zen Headbutt. The double attack boost was enough to unfortunately cause the Bronzor flinch.

Poker repeated his actions from before, and this time the Zen Headbutt caused XXXXX to flinch- it couldn't use its Ancient Power. Moreover, it was a critical hit, and the Bronzor was looking rattled. XXXXX was reaching its limit, and Terri knew it. "Come on, XXXXX!" called Terri. "Give it another Shadow Ball!" She figured they may as well do as much as they could, because another hit was likely to knock out the Bronzor.

Danny watched the body language of the Bronzor, before taking the final strike. "Poker, dodge it, and then finish it up with a Zen Headbutt!" Danny yelled, which the Slowpoke did promptly
Due to it's slow speed, it allowed him to dodge the attack before going straight and slamming into the Bronzor, and afterwards, the Bronzor didn't seem fit for battle anymore.

Poker made an attempt to dodge the Shadow Ball, but due to its slow speed, this did not work out so well. However, he was still able to land the Zen Headbutt- Shadow Ball had not knocked him out.

"Fros Froslass!" declared Laugh, gesturing to the Slowpoke.

"XXXXX, undo," Terri said, holding out the Steel Ball and withdrawing the Bronzor. And then, as if on cue, Luna flew in from upstairs, and took her position on the battlefield. "Ready, Luna?" asked Terri.

"Swoobat bat!" responded Luna.

"Then here we go!" grinned Terri. "Luna, Guardian Terrain!"

"Swooooooooo..." Luna hummed, closing her eyes and facing downward. Heart-shaped waves of energy emanated from her singular nostril and upon contact with the battlefield, imbued it with a strange energy that manifested itself as a peculiar terrain.

"Good," grinned Terri. "Now use Charge Beam!"

"Lets end this, quickly." Danny said, proceeding to command an attack.
"Zen Headbutt, Poker!"
Carrying out the attack swiftly (as swiftly as a Slowpoke) he did presumably a lot of damage, despite type advantages not in his favor.

Luna and Terri simply gave near-identical mysterious smiles. Poker moved in, went for the Zen Headbutt... but it had no effect whatsoever!

Terri's grin widened. "That won't work anymore," she said. "Guardian Terrain makes Pokémon immune to moves of their own type! Now, Luna!" she added.

"Swooooo... BAAAAAAAT!" Luna exclaimed, firing off a point-blank Charge Beam, one which Poker had zero chance of evading. Not only did it power up Luna's Special Attack, but the Swoobat found it a Simple matter to increase the intensity of the boost.

"Let's get ready," smiled Luna. "Use Calm Mind!"
