What are your screen-names?

I dueled Talon in a match. It was a Nimble Wetlands deck I threw together out of concept (I think Concept the user actually runs this deck). I won both games against Ice Barriers but Talon didn't seem to care for it.

As stressed, I think deck building is perhaps the most engaging part of the game. Beating a deck is a puzzle, and it's your job to come up with an answer. Recently I learned of a card that can stop one of my biggest peeves - Torrential Tribute. It's an old card called My Body as a Shield, and works as a weaker Stardust Dragon with a life point cost. But it can be chained from the hand onto Torrential, which is unique among cards I think.

Close. My Frog deck has Wetlands (obviously), my Nimble deck runs Lemuria the Forgotten City. Rather than having Wetlands power up the little monsters you swarm the field, boost all the level 2 monsters by 3/4/5 levels, then XYZ big nasty horrible things.

I was on for a bit. Finished up my half-built decks then watched Dopple in hopes of seeing him yell at children in person. I was sadly disappointed.

You have no idea how much pain that wetlands deck caused me. Good deck by Dopple though, shame I disconnected.

You caught me hitting the right deck, but that was more frustrating than anything.

The guy was just a bumbling kid/newbie as Talon pointed out, but not a smug-face like the other guy earlier was.

I really hate Maxx "C", but if one knows what deck it's being used in, the threat level varies.

Agents = worst possible scenario, stop immediately. Agents have no draw power so this turbos the deck and gives them fuel for Hyperion and Herald of Orange Light!
Dragon Rulers = meh
Evilswarm = meh
Hieratics = meh

In that Hieratic guy's deck, he dropped Maxx "C" twice, and while I didn't want him to draw into Gorz/Trag (which he did) it didn't really stop me from doing anything. Once I banished his REDMD, I had a 90% of winning. Once Quasar appeared he should have given up because Hieratic has nothing big enough to get over a Quasar.

You have never seen an Alien Deck? Trust me, if you get over the fact that there will be lots of counter counting Alien decks are FUN.
Not as fun as Arcana Force though. But consistently fun. (-implying I play Arcana Force. No Really, I do.)

So, they just keep coming back? See, I am not that worried as that just gives me more things to plop A-Counters on. And Alien Kid would just make things gravy.

I don't really play anymore, but I remember having a lot of fun with Heroes, Crystal Beasts and more recently Junk Dopple and Nordics. I never really felt like playing meta, and I remember hating the overhauled Dark Worlds with a passion - they were just all over the place, and Grapha was ridiculous. Stopped playing around the time XYZ came out.

Get a better record and you face smarter opponents. Everyone at the low ranks is dumb as rocks.

I'm actually thinking of just spamming a dragon ruler deck so I don't have to deal with these guys anymore. Seriously.

Make sure you are playing rated duels too. Most of the players in Unrated and Traditional are also bad/non-English speakers.

I am the 1%!
Icarus, spamming Dragon Ruler won't make it better in non-rated. I forsee a lot of cries of "Netdecker!" and "L2Deck Noob" from butthurt trolls after a thourough sweeping of them from you.
Seriously, some Non-rated people are funny people with no real concept of losing gracefully :P

I was playing rated the whole time, and wow are dragon rulers cheap/effective/boring.

:/ I'm facing less stupid people now, so, back to my old decks! (>' U '<)

So, I just made up a crappy Constellar Deck, just cause they lookrf cool and my light type bias hit me again. Time to Unrated test

I lost like 5 duels in a row to random decks, not even the top stuff.

Managed to beat Prophecy with a newbie who ran into some tough luck (although, Judgment kind of lead to it)

Dude played Judgment twice and summoned Hermit both times. He bounced Morphing Jar with CED, but I set it and survived one turn and flipped it. Having already cleared his deck twice of Spellbooks, he drew a fresh hand of nothing but tech cards. He managed to then destroy my Scrap Dragon and T.G. Hyper Librarian, but I summoned Dark Diviner and decked him out.

His final three cards: x2 Priestess and a Dark Hole.

I seem to have an easier time against Prophecy than Dragon Rulers. Truth be told, Judgment Prophecy is just a turbo'd version of the old Prophecy deck, which was not that fearsome a deck in the first place.

So yeah, what happened to good old Yu-Gi-Oh? Synchro summon cards are so overpowered. ;;

I asked one of my friends about it, and the conversation we had literally made me die on the inside.

Me: Wait a minute, how the hell is this card not banned? (This was in reference to Red Dragon Archfiend).
Sam(friend of mine): Because it's not broken.
Me: How is this card not broken? It like destroys everything!
Sam: Yes, but there are cards that can beat it easily.
Me: Wait, so are you saying its not broken because there are other broken cards that balance it out.
Sam: Yes.

Basically, the Yu-Gi-Oh meta isn't bad because there are so many broken things that they all balance each other out. So stupid.

I do like the Blackwings though. Bit more to my level.

If you think Synchro is overpowered, see some of those XYZ cards.

Truth be told, I haven't seen archfiend used ever. Or blackwings. :/

Just Ilswarm and Propechy over and over and over and over and over again. Occasionally Dragon Ruler or the odd deck.

Dueled this guy that played a mecha beast deck. Took a bloody hour of my time, with my sister yelling at me to stop smiling at the computer.

This is why the meta is bad.

Blackwings I find are really fun in casual play. Kalut is a pretty powerful card. I ran a mixed Blackwing + D.D. deck against my friends and it tears right through stall decks. It is quite fun.

I find that ironic, since Blackwings are a really dumb deck in terms of quantity of support and card utility/synergy. I don't hate the deck like I do Infernity, but it's just unfair to play against unless you're running an even more unfair deck.

The only deck I've seen that makes Synchros powerful enough to be competitive is my own. XYZ or instant meta type decks just roll all over everything else.

Actually Talon, I find the meta bad because everyone runs the same deck. I don't mind that I lose. I expect to lose because I haven't played so long and there are so many new cards I'm unfamiliar with.

And I don't win all the time. I actually lost quite a few times with the Blackwing deck. Mostly against more offensive decks. And I nearly always lose against my friend's stall deck if Gravity Bind is activated. So...yeah.

Does anyone here ever seen Ritual in play? It seems really cool.
I'm also thinking of trying an Earthbound deck

I run Kalut in my Norse deck.

Ritual decks? Never seen them.

Earthbounds, however... I feel like you can mix them with the Malefics and laugh at the world. With this, whenever BT decide that they want their broadband to work again, Next time i'm on DN I might make a Malefic Earthbound deck. It even sounds cool saying the name!

Wait, why am I talking to you, you insult my (Almost Pure) Steelswarm deck by saying it's repetitive :P
lol jk we're still friends Mr. Icarus.
