Gen 6 Trailer Poll: Which starter?

It could be interesting to see how people vote now vs. how they'll vote once they actually get the games in October. So, here's a Part 1 thread for now, with a possible Part 2 later. Pretty self-explanatory: vote for the starter you would most like to pick to be on your Story Mode team.

I'm torn between Fennekin and Chespin. Normally I'd allow knowledge of their ultimate types to inform my decision, but I've decided to go without spoilers this gen now, so ... I guess that means I may as well go ahead and vote right now, as if I were picking my starter blind. ('Cause I am! ^^; ) And that means Fennekin. I am less confident Chespin will evolve into something whose look I enjoy or who I find fun to use in battle. He's still one cute little bugger, but Fennekin appeals to me more. Fennekin it is then!

While I prefer Fennekin's design, Froakie's just too cute to pass up on. Also it's a Water-type, so.

Yeah, he's the only starter that I've taken an instant liking to. I'm warming up to Froakie as well, though not nearly as much.

I will enjoy roasting Chespin, unless its evolutions turn it around for me.

My fear isn't this... My fear is that it's going to still be a quadruped and pull off some wannabe Swords of Justice crap. Though that's unlikely, I hope, because it did use a Psychic-ish attack in the trailer.

Not to potentially dampen your hopes, but we had a quadruped fox evolve into a biped one once already...

REALLY hope that doesn't happen here. Then again, I've already seen a shit ton of people compare Fennekin to Renamon already... ho boy.

I'm not sure. Chespin was my initial favourite and probably still is, but I really have a thing for water types. I think I'll go for Croakie because I'm jumping on the non-spoiler bandwagon and he's the Pokémon whose evolutions I'm most interested in seeing.

Fennekin is one of the best fire starters I've seen in a while, but canine/vulpine Pokémon don't really appeal to me.

Oshawott was my favorite from the start in Gen 5. Chespin's evils are going to have to be really awesome for me to consider using it.

To be fair, I actually liked Chespin when I first saw it. Just not as much as Fennekin.

Oshawott took a while to grow on me, but quickly became my favorite Gen 5 starter once it did.

Chespin. No question. My absolute favorite of the bunch. It's cute, it's cool, it's got this kinda air of cute badassery to it, I dunno. All I know is, I likes what I sees.

Don't get me wrong, Fennekin and Froakie are cool. I like all of Generation VI's starters. It's just that Chespin appeals to me much more.

Frog is shitty. But if it evolves into some kind of fat toad on all fours with a mighty beard, it could be the best.

The other two are just bland Early-game derps I'd expect to catch on route 604 rather than pick as a starter. Still, given the past couple of generations, bland is an improvement.

Chespin's is the most organic design. The frog is ugly, and I just plain don't like it.

Going to agree a bit with Kairne's first part. Chespin looks the most natural.

Fennekin looks terrible because it's head is larger than it's body. Sure babies are cute because they have large heads, but babies also can't walk around or do shit until they start to grow more proportionate. How is something like that supposed to fight?

Froakie sucks because it looks way too cartoony. In fact, both Fennekin and Froakie look a shit ton like Digimon than like Pokemon. His eyes, his limbs, his overall appearance look nowhere as cool or natural as Charmander, Squirtle, or Bulbasaur.
