I can try to look into it, but I might not be able to. I should know by mid-November.

Would be kinda silly not to come since it started out with my dream X)
But again, the only reasons I wouldn't able to come would be because:

Obviously, I will be coming~! Is it okay to bring my boyfriend along?
I'm thinking the ideal time to have this get-together would be after December 25th but before January 10th. Reason being that I have to return to school before January 14th, and before December 25th I will probably be super-busy. What dates would you guys prefer?

I really want to be there too. It's gonna be a really long 2-day trip (by plane), but if I can sort things out well, I could get to meet you all for sure. I'd need exact dates though. Obviously, preferably after December the 25th, and best after the 1st of January.

If I was atleast 18 and a legal driver, I'd go. Unfortunately, I'm not.

Woa, a lot more people than I expected. Not sure if I can fit everyone into my tiny apartment. Or can I? I should be able to put together a good entertainment schedule as the time approaches.
For those outside New England who would have difficulty with last-minute travel plans, I'd like to point out that there are going to be two meetups. The second will be at Anime Boston in May. It has a couple advantages for those who are considering coming to a meetup but haven't made up their minds: - The date is already confirmed at May 24-26. - It's open to everyone and not just FB people. I plan on - It will give you a less-suspicious reason to travel to Boston than just "to meet someone from the internet". - You have 8 months to prepare. =3= I'd like to request people to confirm their avilability for AB as well. It's gonna be a huge party \o/

I honestly have no idea about AB. It will entirely depend on whether or not I will be doing research over the Summer at my university. I do know I will be back in New England for Winter Break, though. :3

Hmmm, to be completely honest, I agree with dosuser's idea and points of argument I'll have definitely more time to prepare (renew passport, take days off, buy all the stuff) and it's already a fixed date, so there's that too
The only "hic" about it is I plan of going to Disney World again with my friend next year (although it's not official), so I dunno if I'll have the budget or if the timing will be bad (since last year we went at end of May) :x ...What I could do is forget about Disney World and go to AB with my friend XD She'll feel completely left out though, being someone who's not much in anime (although she likes video games and tabletop RPGs) and have a hard time to speak in English :S Meh, we'll see :P Anti double-posting edit: Plus, the Anime Boston will give us something to do during the day, and all the "entertainment" could be done at night afterwards :P ^^ (but to be honest, I dunno how late a day at AB lasts; the only convention I know lasts 'till 4 am x_x) Speaking of entertainment, I got a question for those who are coming: does anyone have some kind of allergies? It would be important to know if we plan on buying/making food. Not to mention that my famous "sucre à la crème" has pecans/chestnuts as an optional ingredient, and it does make it extra yummy ^o^ But I would dare to even buy some if some of you can't enjoy it :/ Related to allergies, fun me fact: I'm horribly allergic to green peas o.o But I don't think we'll have some anyway ^^; Last edited by OkikuMew; 09-24-2012 at 08:54 PM. |

For the party, maybe we can host it on New Year's Eve and do a countdown to the end of the world? XD *everyone becomes ghosts and parties in the afterlife*
For AB, I added the info to the first post. It's well after my finals, so I should be able to come. =3

What dates do AB fall on?
Because I am still in high school. I can't just take three days off to run off to Boston. It does make it a lot easier to get together though.

Well, if there's two meetings, it'll be preferable that I go only to one, because money doesn't grow on trees ^^; And yeah, as far as I see, the AB one would be my choice (I'll just try to get enough money for the Disney trip and time it in a way it doesn't mess up with the party :P) ^^

AB is May 24-26. Convention hours go until late, I think, though I've never stayed past the afternoon. At some point it becomes adult-only.
>allergies I'm supposedly allergic to store-bought strawberries, though I'm not sure if that still holds true.

I'm all good on the food front. I have some allergies to medicine, but none to food. :3

Looks like it's Friday through Sunday, which I think is the usual schedule.

I don't mind the kitchen being small (the one I have at home is pretty small too), but a mouse? O.o Can't be good, especially with sweets ^^; (and by Arceus, my stuff is super-sugary. 1-2 squares of 'em is enough to not being able to eat more sweets XP) Anyone else who lives around Boston willing to lend their kitchen so I can make my famous sucre à la crème for everyone? ^^; |

Since the dawn of time, mankind has yearned for one thing. Eons have passed, and this goal has yet to be achieved. However I believe that the time has come. This will be your chance to do what few mortals have been able to do.
I have decided that I will, for a limited time, allow people to meet me at this FB Get-Together. This will be your only chance to make all your dreams come true. |
