Home for Fall Break - any takers?
I'm home right now, which means I have WiFi access. I still have a 0 W 0 L 0 D record, and don't mind it becoming 0 W x L 0 D if you really want to fight me. I will be playing with non-Level 100 effort trained creatures that do not necessarily (or even at all) have good team synergy.
There are two options: OPTION 1: You check UPN often and can play at pretty much any time. Say "Option 1" in your reply, and I will return at some point tonight or tomorrow and, upon seeing your reply, try to contact you in real time via the forums. I will check back on the forums every 15-30 minutes after I make my confirmation post but will give up if you don't show within 90 minutes. OPTION 2: You don't check UPN that often -- certainly not once an hour! -- and have no idea when you'll be able to play. Say "Option 2" and a time between 1pm and 5pm in your reply, and I will come back to UPN at 1pm ET on Sunday, October 7 and post saying "I'm online" and expecting you to show within 15 minutes. I will probably leave home Sunday night after dinner, but I may stay through Monday night, in which case playing Sunday night will become an option.

Talon, what Pokemon team do you have? I will chose option 2, since on Tuesday until the 21st I have lebaran (idul-fitri) holiday from university. I'll see if I can find a place with free wifi like plaza semanggi or someplace like that.

If you can show in the morning or late evening your time sometime this week, I'd greatly enjoy a battle.

I'm on right now. SI, do you have any idea of what time you might be on (w/ WiFi) later today? Muyo, is still "early morning," or is 10:06am far too late? Will check back here periodically until 11am.

Here I come. I'll leave it to you to set it up, I'm assuming? Though if I don't see you, I'll set it up, of course. Pretty sure I have your FC info and everything already entered; if not, expect a slight delay as I dig it up here and enter it.

Give me a minute, having to reinstall my Nindtendo WiFi dongle. Should be up and ready in five minutes or so. In the meantime, you want me to use my competitive team, or throw some n00bs on there for ya?

Just as an indicator, I have a Zangoose on the team. Plan accordingly, but let's have a fun time. I'm not concerned about losing; rather, I fully expect to lose.

Re: Home for Fall Break - any takers?
I don't see you, and you must not have seen my game. Hmm. Is your friend code as posted at the top of the Friend Code thread?
EDIT: lol, as I hit submit, you showed up. :P EDIT: This is odd. We keep getting disconnected whenever I apply to join your game. Trying for the 3rd time ...

Re: Home for Fall Break - any takers?
lol, I am about to lose. Muyo more or less swept my team. lol
EDIT: In the end, I managed to KO his Skarmory (w/ Staraptor getting lucky and hanging on at 2 HP after the 2nd Drill Peck and two Brave Birds had been used) and his Charizard (again, with a Zangoose getting very lucky in a Slash War). His Garchomp dominated and was only withdrawn by Muyo's mercy. I managed to "force" him to let me see I'd say four Pokemon (Weavile, Skarmory, Blissey, and arguably the Garchomp) while he showed me the final two (Charizard and Vaporeon) just for shits and giggles. My lineup was a Staraptor, Starmie, Milotic, Torterra, Zangoose, and Misdreavus. The Milotic and Misdreavus never even got off one hit. ¬_¬ The Staraptor was my MVP.

Had some fun with it, you got two of my dudes.
Maybe we can do it again later and you can take on... the /b/ team! Like the A team, only with more mudkipz.

Re: Home for Fall Break - any takers?
I've got a Bidoof in my team. Sure, it's level 97, but it's still a bloody Bidoof.
Perhaps I'm already too late, but I'd probably be the best bet to end your losing streak.

Re: Home for Fall Break - any takers?
I am still home (12:09PM ET), but I will be leaving tonight around 6-6:30pm if I get my car back from the mechanic's in time. If not, then it won't be till tomorrow after lunch. If people want to play, please post here 1+ hour prior to the arranged time, e.g. you want to play me at 5pm my time so you post here at 4pm or sooner. If you guys do that, then I can check this thread about once every hour and it should be good.
Never did hear back from SI, apparently. Oh well, I know how it is (considering he cut off Internet by choice, I can imagine he would have a hard time finding the place + the time to go to some WiFi hotspot in town). I don't have WiFi at Purdue, so, yeah, I know how it is. No worries.

Re: Home for Fall Break - any takers?
Well when I made that post (and this one) I'm at work so... can't really battle now. >.>
Just poke me on AIM repeatedly on weekends or later at night or w/e. |
