We've gone off the walls with a massive risk already, so I'd wager it's about time to dial things back a bit to reliable mode.
"But Meddi, you haven't personally taken any risks this whole Raid!" Ah, be quiet and accept the upcoming Rain-boosted Liquidation (85 BP), will ya? |

Gigantamax Boss Cinderace ★★★★★ Health Gauge: 50% Shields Up: 6 Status: Def -1, SpDef -1, Libero (Fighting) Raiders: Reflect (2 Rounds) Weather: Rain (2 Rounds) Terrain: Electric (4 Rounds) Raider Healing Summary: Zelphon, Eevee: Soft-Boiled Zelphon, Eevee: 366 HPRaid Boss Attack Summary: Attack 1: Max Lightning (130 BP) Sandaa, Kingdra: 305 HPAttack 2: Snarl (55 BP) Lil'twick, Raichu: 63 HPAttack 3: Focus Blast (120 BP) Missingno. Master, Haxorus: 237 HP Raid Challengers:
Finishing with the boss' first set of shields, the raiders use the remaining rain to their advantage, pushing the boss all the way down to its second set, and even managing to chunk away a few of them in the process. Cinderace proceeds to unleash a Max Lightning, creating Electric Terrain over the field, followed by a Snarl, reducing the Special Attack of half the raid. Finally a Focus Blast comes out, luckily avoiding any of the Pokemon weak to it but still landing a hefty hit on Haxorus. Dynamax Initiative: Expired

Cinderace was not easing up. A massive Max Lightning struck the Kingdra, and set up an Electric Terrain all around them. An earsplitting Snarl washed over many of the combatants, Norbert included, causing damage and lowering their Special Attack. And finally, the Striker Pokémon sent an uncharacteristically accurate Focus Blast right towards Norbert. The Haxorus roared his displeasure at taking two consecutive attacks, but was still standing.
"Norbert ain't goin' down dat easily!" purred Meowth. "Yeah," grinned Keith. "Now let's help take out that shield-" "Wait," Willa interrupted, catching Keith's attention. "Let the others handle the shield- it looks like it won't take everyone to break it. The way I see it, this is your best opportunity." "Best opportunity? For- you mean-" Keith murmured, looking at the Z-Ring on his wrist. "...A Z-Move?" he asked. Willa nodded. "I looked up Cinderace's possible moves. It can't possibly turn into a Grass or Fairy-type, but it can very easily become a Ground-type, a Poison-type, or worse yet, a Steel-type. If ever there was a time to strike, it's now, while we know it can take the most damage from it possible!" Keith nodded in understanding. "And now that the shield is down, Cinderace's defenses are even further lowered- yeah, you're right, this is the perfect chance! Norbert, get ready!" Keith called. "Haxor!" roared Norbert, nodding in response. As Keith had said, the other Trainers had indeed dealt with the barrier protecting Cinderace- the Striker Pokémon was wide open. Keith and Willa exchanged looks, smiles, and nods, while Meowth jumped nimbly down onto the ground. And the three of them crossed their arms before them simultaneously, causing Keith's Poisonium Z to start emitting light. "Prepare for trouble!" Willa declared. "Make it double!" exclaimed Keith. "Meowth, dat's right!" added Meowth. At this, they moved their arms (front legs in Meowth's case) to complete the initial poses any Z-Move requires- moving their arms up, out, and down, then crossing them again, but sticking out ahead of them this time. Norbert roared approvingly, knowing exactly what was to come. "Our minds, our spirits, linked as one!" Willa exclaimed. "A power as intense..." continued Keith. "...as da Plague Swamp o' Cascadia!" declared Meowth. "Feel the poison... BE the poison!" the trio exclaimed simultaneously, pulling off picture-perfect Poisonium poses, sending Z-Power flooding right into the Haxorus before them, who roared with eager anticipation. "Norbert!" Keith called. "Ready to rock?" "HAAAAXOOOOOR!!!" bellowed Norbert. Keith, Willa, and Meowth grinned. "Acid Downpour, let's goooo!!!" they declared in unison. Quote:

Gigantamax Boss Cinderace ★★★★★ Health Gauge: 43% Shields Up: 0 Status: Def -2, SpDef -2, Spd +1, Libero (Electric) Raiders: Reflect (1 Round) Weather: Rain (1 Round) Terrain: Electric (3 Rounds) Raid Boss Attack Summary: Attack 1: Counter (192 BP) Missingno. Master, Haxorus: 0 HPAttack 2: Max Aistream (130 BP) Median Dia, Malamar: 263 HPAttack 3: Electro Ball (100 BP) Sneaze, Kingdra: 22 HP Raid Challengers:
Breaking the second set of shields, the raiders manage two attacks on the boss' lowered defenses. A Volt Tackle which KOs Raichu due to recoil, and the second Z Move to be used this match in the form of an Acid Downpour. But Cinderace is not happy, immediately using Counter on the Z Move, knocking out its user, before another Max Airstream followed by a heavily boosted Electro Ball serve to severely lower other raiders. The Acid Downpour hit, and hit hard, and for a moment, Keith's face bore a triumphant grin. Until, that is, he saw the glow. That red glow. He knew that red glow. With a grandmother better known as the crazy Wobbuffet lady of Lavaridge Town, and as the owner of a Wobbuffet and a Pyukumuku, how could he not know that red glow? It was a glow one generally really does not want to see on one's opponent immediately after bombarding said opponent with an immensely powerful physical attack.
Cinderace was using Counter. "Norbert!!" Keith exclaimed, but the damage had been done in a very real, very big way. A retaliatory move that threw up more dust than a Hippopotas with the stomach flu, and when said dust settled, the end result was as clear as a Yanma's wing. "Haxoooor..." groaned Norbert as he lay on his back, totally knocked out. Keith gave a groaning sigh as he held out the Luxury Ball. "Come back, Norbert!" he called as the ball let loose its red recall beam, withdrawing the Haxorus back into its spherical confines. "I apologize," Willa murmured. "I saw Counter on the list of moves Cinderace can use, I should have-" Keith shook his head. "It's fine," he assured Willa. "Acid Downpour was absolutely the right move- Norbert's Special Attack had taken a hit from that Snarl, so using special attacks wasn't gonna get much done. Which Cinderace must have been after, of course," he added, glancing up at what was currently an Electric-type once more, for the Striker Pokémon had just landed an Electro Ball on one of the Kingdra present. Not Gary's- this one belonged to someone else. Willa noticed this Kingdra as well. "It's in pretty bad shape," she observed. "One good attack could take it out." "We can't have that," Keith stated, shaking his head. He took aim with his right arm, with his Dynamax Band, for residual Dynamax Energy was gathering in the Wishing Piece while more of the stuff was working its magic on the Luxury Ball in Keith's other hand- more specifically, on its occupant. Taking careful aim, Keith fired off a bundled beam of Dynamax Energy at the ailing Kingdra with the intention of healing it up. OOC: Cheering to heal Ephraim the Kingdra. |

Well, as tempting as it is to actually act like a Psychic/Dark Type... there's too much benefit for using Superpower (120 BP) still. Whoopsie?

Gigantamax Boss Cinderace ★★★★★ Health Gauge: 30% Shields Up: 0 Status: Def -2, SpDef -2, Libero (Normal) Raiders: N/A Weather: N/A Terrain: Electric (2 Rounds) Trainer Recovery Summary: Lil'twick, Raichu: Cheer Sneaze, Kingdra: 272 HPMissingno. Master, Haxorus: Cheer Sneaze, Kingdra: 500 HPRaid Boss Attack Summary: Attack 1: Max Flutterby (120 BP) Median Dia, Malamar: 47 HPAttack 2: Snarl (55 BP) Slash, Druddigon: 217 HPAttack 3: Hyper Beam (150 BP) Sneaze, Kingdra: 275 HP Raid Challengers:
The raiders heal up and begin to prepare for the remaining fight, with buffs to go around while they chip through more of the boss' health. Cinderace, however, is looking to end its foes, and a few massive hits take Malamar out of the fight for now while lowering the special attack of most of the raid. Then comes a Hyper Beam, smashing one of the Kingdra down in health, lucky not to hit anyone who would have dropped from it. Finally, the raider's Reflect wears away, and the rain fades away.
