So, I hear some people have gotten the game, and I have a question:
Infra-red Trading. Is it really true you can trade 3 pokemon at once? And that they don't even need to be in your party?! Also, does the other trainer have to trade three pokemon back? I would like some clarification on this. |

It came out in Europe on March 4, i.e. it should have only JUST come out for them mere minutes ago. For us, it comes out on March 6. Regardless, anywhere in the world it's possible that some stores will sell a game early. I suspect that that's what Kind is referring to.

Two parcels came to my house today, I thought one of them might be my copy of White arriving early.
One was for my mum, the other for my dad. And there was much rage. Hopefully it'll get here tomorrow!

Mine should be arriving tomorrow, apparently. Shame I'm not going to have time to play it for about a week and a half.

I have a feeling that Gamestop is going to call tomorrow and be like "WE HAVE IT RIGHT NOW COME PICK IT UP IF YOU PREORDERED" so.

This is a long shot, but does anyone on this forum have a Cubchoo? My only critique at the moment is the first hour of the game is pretty much Patrat, Lillipup, Patrat, Lillipup, Purrloin, Patrat, Lillipup, Patrat, Patrat, Monkies, Patrat, Lillipup AND I DUN LIKE HAVING A SUCKY TEAM

Nope. I can trade you some Japanese mons from my ROM file if you'd like, though I doubt you would like that. I sympathize: my early team was ...
1. Tepig / Pignite 2. Lillipup / Herdier 3. filler or baby of someone I wanted to grow up 4. filler or baby of someone I wanted to grow up 5. filler or baby of someone I wanted to grow up 6. filler or baby of someone I wanted to grow up Basically, my entire playthrough (through the third gym) was spamming Pignite and Herdier. Then I put it down. But yeah, there aren't many great options early on, it's true. To be completely honest, too, Pignite's Nitro Charge (what did they call it in English? Flame Burst or something?) is a really broken move for early story mode. Base 50 power + STAB, and it guarantees that come Turn 2 he will never be going second. Particularly useful for gym fights. Who did you choose, emp?

Current team:
1. Servine, Lv. 21 2. Liepard, Lv. 20 (shaddup, I like it >>) 3. Panpour, Lv. 19 4. Blitzle, Lv. 20 5. Venipede, Lv. 21 6. Reserved for Ducklett (not a big fan of any other Flyers) BUT IT'S SO HARD TO COMPRESS MY LIKES INTO JUST 6 SLOTS ;; Currently at the third Gym, so it's fun.

After having tried to play through Black 3 times, I've pretty much decided that I'm going to ditch my starter. I really don't care for them and prefer the Monkeys anyways. Is that a bad thing?

@Jeri: I don't think so. I planned on doing the same as soon as my team fills up, but it's getting harder and harder to imagine boxing the little fella. I don't like Samurott though (not because of its design, just the fact it looks nothing like Oshawott and Dewott) so I'm going to have to find an everstone.
@Talon: I chose Oshawott. Even though I like Tepig just as much but I figured Water Types would be few and far between later in the game when you need to surf Current Team: Dewott: Ottoman Lv.22 Herdier: Biscuit Lv.22 Basically been skipping trainers since the second gym, I ninja'd my way through Pinwheel Forest and Castelia without fighting anybody and now I'm on route 4 looking for a Scraggy with a decent nature. I keep running into Darumaka and Sandile who I'm half-tempted to capture seen as they're the most interesting wild Pokemon I've seen so far
