Okay. After months of being put into limbo due to Atari's financial problems, Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition finally received a new update.

In addition, Baldur's Gate 2 Enhanced Edition is now available for pre-order.

Does the update address the multiplayer concerns?

Yes, they are testing a beta Matchmaking system.

Instead of TCP/IP, you can now select "Beamdog.net" and it shows you a list of games to choose from and connect to. I've not tried it yet myself though.

Obviously from the content, you could tell it had a pretty big impact on me.
