Although the days of me being able to tell the cry of a Tropius from a Linoone are gone (Gen 6 has made MANY cries blend together and my Gen 4 era skills of ID'ing all 493 by their cry have dulled severely as a result), and I don't memorize head types. However, I NEVER check the further details option when a rustler appears as a first encounter, so if I want to know what the mon is, it has to have a fairly obvious cry or distinguishing feature in the overworld, which was the case once and only once: my Lotad catch, which I'm not using anymore as Bullet Seed got replaced on Route 104 (by freaking Echoed Voice of all things) and lol Lombre's grass level up pool is horrible (ITS LEVEL 30 SOMTHING AND HASNT LEARNED A GRASS MOVE SINCE ABSORB).

That's why you keep it a Lotad until Lv 33.

Hariyama is awesome to have but is there any place other than Victory Road that's good for grinding that isn't a Mirage location? Because Hariyama is taking forever and I have Latias after him and that's just getting guys to level 60. After that, everyone's going to level 65 before I consider taking on the E4 Champ Gauntlet.

An Ultra Ball is fine too. It's capture rate isn't that high because you need it for story purposes.

I caught it in one Ultra Ball once getting it down to red health, and it was similarly twenty levels above my entire team. I wouldn't waster the Master Ball.

My team was roughly the same in levels as Concept's, as for catching the Rayquaza though, it took around ten minutes or something. Didn't bother to even consider the Master Ball since I like to hold onto them for keepsakes.

What? No seriously. I cleared my AS Locke and the amount of Gri ding I put in had basically half my squad or so at or above level 70 after all was said and done. I prepared as if I were facing the Kalos Pokemon league, which was clearly a mistake. Though do we know if Depxys reappears if you kill it? Because I accidentally OHKO'd it with Dragon Ascent. If not no skin off my back I have Deoxys to spare in Y that I can Bank.

I can confirm Deoxys lives after you kill it. Just beat the E4 and go back to the Sky Pillar where you fought Rayquaza, there should be Deoxys standing where Rayquaza once was.

Yeah, Deoxys respawns. I think pretty much everyone just kills it the first time around． It has the defenses of a wet paper bag, so it's more difficult not to.

Deoxys is not hard to catch, it only has 10 PP of offensive moves and both moves have immunities.

The only reason I didn't catch Deoxys on the first try was it being Lv. 80 and taking a huge chunk out of Mega Rayquaza's health with Psycho Boost and because I wanted a decent nature on it. After all I'm likely never going to get another Deoxys after this, so I'd better make it a good one.

Also, doesn't Deoxys know Recover?

You know if you want to, you could bring out either Sableye/Spiritomb. Deoxys literally cannot touch them.

Yeah see I used my only Dark Type to catch Rayquayquay, so I replaced it because I wouldn't have time to restore its HP, so yeah. And becUse I locked the game I didn't have Sableye.

If you KO it on Sky Pillar you get But Thou Musted I to facing it again. You have to catch it there to progress.
