Choosing to face off against the Sneasel alongside the scientist and her Growlithe before dealing with what might be lurking inside the generator's shed, you are quick to select Durant as your partner for the bout to come. Having been awoken from a deep slumber to deal with the threat at hand, the Steel type hisses and gnashes her mandibles at the two Dark and Ice types standing across the yard. This only seems to entice the pair, though, their claws held out to their sides awaiting the first move of the match.

Quick to answer his trainer's commands, Evie's Growlithe is first to launch into action, quickly delivering a number of harsh blows to his selected Sneasel as he wrestled it into the snow. The two looked to be giving as good as they were getting but it was clear that the Fire type had the upper hand. Rather than defend its brethren, the second Sneasel swiftly turns its attention from the unfolding scrap nearby to Durant and decides on a two-pronged attack of its own. In a split second, the Sharp Claw Pokémon dashes through the gathering snow and bashes at the armour of the Steel Ant with a Metal Claw.

Disgruntled by the Sharp Claw Pokémon landing the first move, the Steel Ant launches herself through the falling snow in the direction of the weasel with her entire head aglow with metallic energy. Connecting successfully with her target, the Sneasel yelps out in pain as it is sent flying across the snow strewn yard. With only one command given to your Durant, the sinister Sneasel eyes an opening and leaps up quickly to strike back with a Icy Wind attack from afar before you have the chance to issue another attack for the Iron Ant Pokémon.

"Careful now, these guys don't look like they care to play fair..." Evie utters to you before cupping her hands to call out to her Growlithe still locked in his tussle, "We need to get into that shed so I want you to heat things up with your Flamethrower! If the Sneasel is still standing after that, lunge forward and give it another taste of your Fire Fang for good measure."

What will you do?
Cy clenched his fist seeing the underhanded tactics, although Durant barely felt the attacks.

"Should've expected that from a Dark-Type," he growled. "Durant, show this weasel we won't back down! Iron Head again, and this time follow it with a Fury Cutter to make it stay down!"

"Dr-dr-dr!" Durant chittered, snapping her jaws. She shook off the fragments of ice left over from the Sneasel's attack and shot forward, her powerful legs carrying her towards her target at an incredible speed. She heaved her head back, ready to smash it down on her conniving opponent. A faint greenish glow also began to stir around her mandibles as she prepared for her next attack.

Along the way, you noticed there was a sudden silence and a bit of a chill in the air... Pokemon that you once saw along in the pools seemed to have swum away... What was going on? Was there some kind of storm approaching?

At this point, Even Your Pokémon started to act strange. All three huddled up to you as close as they could and Buzz burrowed his way into the back of your hood. Ok, now things really were strange. As you stopped to look around real quick, a sudden and violent shaking occurred, Rocking you and your Pokémon back and forth as you struggled to maintain balance.

"Woah Watch it, Come on get over here quick!" suddenly behind you, you heard the old scientist call out to you. Turning around you saw Herme's perched on his shoulder for the time being, safe and sound which was a relief but the scientist motioned for you to hurry as he waved frantically.

As suddenly as it started, the violent quaking stopped... how odd? What even was that? Who or What caused that?
Your thoughts were soon cut short as you heard a multitude of roaring sounds that echoed loudly across the Basin. The sounds were so loud and frightful that your pokemon attempted to burrow even further into whatever hiding spot they could.
What struck you as odd... was that the sounds seemed to be coming from under the pools??

Danny and his Pokemon headed back where they had came from, following their previous footprints; they passed by the same, blue, crystal pools, but something was different.

"Uh, where is like, all the Pokemon?" Danny asked to no one in particular, as he saw that all Pokemon in the previously teeming pools had disappeared, and any left behind seemed to dart away at the quickest glance. As he headed to the scientist, Danny looked around, feeling an odd silence and cold front - even his Pokemon seemed to feel it too, Fleur's tail was swinging quicker, more anxious than threatening; Puffles was hudding to herself, shivering; Buzz had taken refuge in the back of Danny's shirt.

"Okay, this is very, very weird." Danny stopped for a moment, and then as if on cue, a large tremor shook the icy, frozen ground, causing Danny and his Pokemon to stumble and nearly fall over. Just then, they heard a voice behind them, which was too much for Buzz; the Joltik promptly zapped itself back into its Pokeball, now latched to Danny's belt.

Danny spun around.

Stood there was the scientist, Hermes perched safely on his shoulder, and the scientist looking rather frantic. As suddenly as the tremor started, it stopped, leaving the two and Danny's Pokemon dazed and confused.

"What? What is going on?! Did you feel that tremor?!" Danny asked, frantic himself, and, as if the situation wasn't already high-stakes, there were loud, deafening roars that seemed to come from deep under the pools, causing Puffles to zap into her Pokeball in fear as well, but Hermes and Fleur both stood bravely, although the latter was trembling, and even Danny was trembling himself.

"OK. What the fuck. Is going ON??!?!?"

Batch Update!

Alpha Research Station: SixDragons

Durant scuttled forward and slammed its already ironclad head into the Sneasel bashing the sharp claw pokemon and sending it flying backward across the yard. Evie was dealing with similar success as the Sneasel her growlithe was fighting with was also flung back with the puppies Fire clad Fangs.

The battle was soon interrupted by a loud bang and several short whistles sound as a shadowy figure kicked the door of the shed open and took across the yard. Before you OR Evie could react the shadow-clad mysterious figure… which you couldn’t make out to be human or pokemon yet, scaled the fence and was followed close behind with two dazed sneasel… What was that… thing? What was its purpose? It clearly wasn’t wanting to stay in a fight longer than needed. In fact… the more you thought about it… it was almost as if

IT STOLE SOMETHING!

Evie came to the same conclusion as you did and as the two of you rushed to the shed that housed the generator she let out a short exasperated curse.
“ Whatever or Whoever that was… they took key components from the generator that it needs to run. And on top of that, we don’t really have the parts to replace it.” Evie kicked a part of the generator out of frustration. This situation the research facility was in just got a bit worse.

Perhaps there was a way you could craft a temporary fix for the generators? It wouldn’t hurt to ask. There were probably ways to get this generator up and running again. In the meantime, it wouldn’t also hurt to come up with some plans of action.

The Boreal Basin: CrazyCreeperKid

“Something within Basin woke up. That’s the best answer I can give you because I for one don’t know kid. The research teams here on Glacial Island have been trying to study the Basin for a while and we just had another team take some diving equipment go under the waters to try and figure out why the compositions of the waters are so pure and at the same time so mystifying.- the scientist took Hermes off of his shoulder and placed the pidgey properly on yours.

“Brave bird you have there,” He commented. ‘ You might wanna come with me to my camp I suppose if you want to learn more about what’s been going on, Well you might want to come on over anyways because a Blizzard’s about to blow in here from the east. Its fast approaching and you are in no way or form prepared to adventure in a Blizzard.’

He looked you up and down and wrinkled his nose, it was rather rude but true. You really weren’t prepared for that and your pokemon really wouldn’t be able to help you much, not that they wouldn’t try.
“The names Harrold by the way, lad.” Harrold held out his hand to shake yours’ “ Thank you for getting me that vial by the way.”

A research team took diving gear underwater?... That reminded you that you had a weird machine part. Buzz dropped the string of electroweb when he zapped back into his ball but the machine was still where he left it. Now that you brought it back to the scientist Harrold, perhaps you could ask more about it?

As they reached the shed, Wurmple spoke quietly. I know what you're going to ask. Whoever it was, they fled too fast for me to get a handle on their mind.

"Never mind that for now," Cy replied. "You've spent a lot of time in my brother's crazy workshop, do you know what this generator's missing, or how we could get it running again?" He turned to Evie and asked her as well, "Is there any way we could fix it? What parts is it missing?"

I'm not sure. It isn't the kind of technology I'm familiar with, but I can see a few things I recognize... If Wurmple had hands, he would've been stroking his chin thoughtfully. Cy looked back at the snowstorm outside, thinking about the thief. He had an idea, but it made him nervous... He unclipped a Cherish Ball from his belt and wavered, wondering if this was safe. Shaking his head to clear out the anxiety, he opened the ball and sent out his Buizel, Jeffrey.

"Buizel," he ordered, "Something or someone was just here, and they've taken off. I want you to use Odor Sleuth to find their scent if you can and follow them to find out where they've gone. Stay back if you find them - they're dangerous, and wouldn't hesitate to hurt you. Once you know where they are, return here so you can take me to them. Alright?" Buizel gave an affirmative bark and raised his snout, hunting for the mysterious thief's scent. That done, Cy turned back to Evie and the generator, waiting for her answer to his earlier question.
