BTTF DeLorean Vs. the TARDIS
Pretty simple poll. But I figured it could spawn debate and/or argument, so I posted it here. Have at.
And for the record, I like both. But I have a strong preference. :3

Shouldn't we define time first?
Because if time = space, couldn't someone just say an X-Wing fighter? |

AARRRGHHH.
Dr who is amazing and so is the TARDIS, but the Deleorian is a Delorian. Going to have to think about this one. On the subject of BTTF: Why Back to the Future is secretly horrifying.

The TARDIS, hands down. Who doesn't want to have their own blue box that's a whole lot bigger on the inside and travel anywhere not only in time, but also in space? |

TARDIS is a RETARDED NAME.
Get it? "tard" It's funny because "tard" is common short-hand for "retard" and it appears in the name "tardis". Granted, phone booths are cool, but given this day and age, most kids would probably think TARDIS is a space-ship. Phone booths haven't existed for a decade, prompting Superman to famously switch to bathroom stalls. In a twist of irony, Pacific Bell Park / AT&T Park is known as the "Telephone Park" and we've seen the DeLorean make pit stops in McCovey Cove.

Broke the tie. Gotta go with Back to the Future, as it's one of my favorite trilogies of all time. However, I never saw the appeal of Doctor Who.

In the time it took you to write up that reply and hit Submit, someone else came along and voted for the TARDIS again, evening the score back to 9-9-0.

Apparently I voted for the TARDIS some time ago.
Good work, past me. |

The TARDIS is obviously the only correct choice. 10 people just seem to have the opposite opinion. And their opinions are wrong.
Yes. The DeLorean is a DeLorean. But it just doesn't measure up to the TARDIS. |

Let's try and respect that both machines are awesome and there are plenty of people far smarter than you who have voted for either time-traveling device.

Even if I've stopped watching Dr. Who for the foreseeable future, I have to say I do prefer the big blue box.

TARDIS: Travels time and space by being an immobile blue box.
DeLorean: Travels time and space by DRIVING REALLY FAST. |

Anyone who has read Animorphs knows that blue boxes kick all kinds of ass.

Trite though this may sound, I also like the start-up noises of the DeLorean much more than the "WHURRRRRRRRRR........................WHURRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRRR..................WHURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR " rev up of the TARDIS. It's not that it revs up that bothers me, it's the specific SFX used. I don't like the sound of it. Whereas the sound of Marty or Doc inputting dates on the LED switchboard mounted on top of the dashboard is really pleasant.
But there's a lot to be said for how awesome the TARDIS is, as it is effectively a spaceship with hammerspace for an interior. The DeLorean admittedly has trouble even staying airborne without fuel whereas the TARDIS can take you to different planets throughout the universe. Pretty snazzy.
