I've wasted those countless hours getting HP Ice for my Sceptile and HP Fire for my Roserades. >.>;;
I don't mind banning Garchomp, as I've personally been screwed over by it's Sand Veil followed by spanking. |

I'll agree that Garchomp should be banned. Seriously, that thing is scary.
Question: Are the legends that are, well, legends, but not Uber, allowed to be used? OMGISOCAN'TWAITTHISWILLBEFUNI'MJUSTGONNAUSEMYFAVOR ITESANDSEEIFICANWINANYBATTLESWITHTHEM! |

Is everyone free to battle on the weekends starting May 29/30 and each weekend until everyone has beaten each other up?
So far the line-up seems to be... Loki Morg Talon87 Stlbk Muyo Emp Dynamite We could extend it to another date if more time is needed or whatever. |

Hey, add me to the list.
Though, since it's weekends, I won't be able to battle before about six o' clock on Saturdays. Afterward, and all day on Sundays, I'll be good. |

Will we be submitting teams prior to the tournament? Will we be submitting held items? Moves? Stats? I'm of the opinion that less is better.

Could the date be pushed back by a week? :x
Not sure if I will be able to be in the tourney at the moment, but i will definitely let you know before it starts. |

I should be able to meet those requirements, although I can't sacrifice more than 2 hours each weekend. My A-Levels start in June, so I plan on battling between revision. I was also considering a new team, but classic DP sounds good to me :L
Also, big no to submitting teams, I have a few teams I'd like to rotate |

Kind, you're on the list. Six o'clock what time zone?
IDC for submitting teams and stats, because I'll be in the tournament and if I know what you're bringing... well... its not exactly fair. Sure we can set it back a week. We will probably do like a round of battling each weekend until everyone has fought everyone or something. IDK. |

You don't know your own time zone? How hard is it to Google your country/city/town for the time zone.
I presume GMT-8 means like California or something. |

Actually, I got -8 from doing a Google search.
Just double checked. Indeed, -8. |

So... the tourney's going to be Round Robin style (aka Magma Colosseum, for those that have PBR)?
Also, if you really want us to submit our teams... You're going to think me crazy, but Rangeet could be the record keeper. He CAN'T enter the competition, since he can only battle other people with Shoddy. Which means he cannot take advantage of the data. But I do find this idea of using multiple teams... interesting. |

Actually, I was thinking of having people submitting their teams to myself, I would just reveal my team first and everyone else would just tell me in private through PM or something.
Also, I forget what tournament style I was thinking of using. Well, I know what it looks like, just not the name. I'll get back to you on it in another week. |

I don't care whether it's open or closed, but if you're wanting to do it closed, Loki, then you're doing it wrong: if everybody tells you their teams but you don't tell anybody else what those teams are, then you and only you get to know the entirety of the teams -- and since you're competing, it'd be arguably unfair.
I say "arguably" because I don't think it's unfair enough to make a lick of difference. That and we're friends. That and this is such a casual tourney. But if people do care, then you might want to reconsider your model. As for tournament styles ... were any of these them? Single Elimination - this is the most famous. It's how the NCAA college basketball tournament works. Round-robin - this is popular in many Magic: the Gathering circles, based on my experience Swiss elimination - this is the format which my local WotC-sanctioned card store uses for its FNM and M:tG pre-release events

I see no need to submit teams since some of us might want to rotate. Of course I'd like to be able to post recaps of the battles without spoiling team members for everyone, so maybe everyone should keep a few in reserve so they can rotate if they want.
also, "are these they". |

Well, due to time zone differences, I doubt we will get more than 1 round of battling per day/weekend. You can resubmit a team between each round. You don't need to submit moves or stats, just the Pokemon's species.
And the tournament style is Double-Elimination. |

In which case, if we keep exactly 8, here's our link ;D. (Click here for the blank table I found. Everyone, print one off for your own convenience!)
And it's not the end of the world if people drop or join since mwahahaha. Loki, if you're doing it this way, though, won't it be doable all in one day? Unless to you a "win" is actually the best two out of three, best three out of five, etc. Clarification, s'il te plaît.

Time Zone differences. I don't want people stay up too late to do this.
Muyo is in AU. I'm on EST. There's a big gap. People have busy lives. |

Some more clarification;
Is the Quick Claw allowed? Is Double Team allowed? |

Since when has Quick Claw been useful enough to be banned?

Why haven't we got Luck Clause?
'Luck items Clause - You and your oppnent can not use Items that rely on luck to be activated. Some examples are focus band, bright powder, and quick claw.' Knowing that everyone hates hax, having someone use a Togekiss with Serene Grace, Air Slash AND Kings Rock can be prevented. I'm up for this; I'd also like to ban Garchomp. I'm happy with Smogon tiers and no-hack. This does mean I'll have to go back to Diamond, since that's the game I hand-trained everything on. Give me enough time and I'll start training on HG/SS. |

I don't really see them as so deadly proficient at winning games that we need to ban them. Remember, Focus Band has a 90% chance of not activating, making it 90% useless item. In addition, if we put up Luck Item Clause, then we really limit people who already have trouble with Item Clause.

Wait, we're not playing Luck Item clause but we are Item Clause? I'm pretty sure nobody plays item anymore, Leftovers is the bane of many teams.
