*shakes fist at computer not even letting me view fucking movies*

At least I got to see Tintin:Secret of the Unicorn the other day. Pretty good, managed to combine three books and its own story well imo. Animation was blow-away.

I liked both of them to be honest. Though, everyone has their own opinions.

Now, Cloverfield. That is an AWESOME movie.

Recently seen:

The Muppets: Excellent movie, was legitimately having a blast and smiling as I saw it. Very fun movie.

The Last of the Mohicans: Also excellent, reminded me a lot of Braveheart, which I really liked.

Oh. I saw Adventures of Tintin, it was pretty good. Snowy was adapted quite well, despite not being able to talk in the movie.

I also saw Sherlock Holmes 2, it was the same shit as the first one. I also thought the actor who played Moriarty kinda sucked, it was a pretty flat performance.

Additionally, I saw Mission Impossible 4. I haven't seen the first three, but I'm going to assume that it's the same thing again. 'twas ok.

Finally, I saw Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I haven't read the book/seen the Swedish version, but it was pretty well done. The actress playing the title character did it very well. There are a few scenes that made me cringe, though.

Recently saw Kung Fu Panda 2 and 30 Minutes or Less.

Kung Fu Panda 2 was better than I thought it would be, and better than the first. 30 Minutes or Less was above average, not as good as I thought it would be though.

Yes, Dale and Tucker Vs Evil is hilarious, but if anyone is going to watch it, don't watch the trailers as it spoils a fair bit of the movie.

Saw In Bruges last night. Hilarious yet dramatically awesome movie. Colin Ferrel is extremely adorable. Amazing acting and a great cast. Definitely worth a watch.

Saw "What About Bob?" today for the first time in over a decade. I was nervous going into it that it wouldn't be as funny as I remembered it being (which has happened a depressingly large number of times)- but if anything it was funnier.

Hooray!

why why why would you do that?

i guess the movie is disconnected enough from the show kinda

but still, your basically started from the last chapter back to the beggining

yea i saw these two as well

adventures of tintin was just a fun adventure movie, someone described it as indiana jonesish which is very accurate. and both of the main characters were fairly interesting

as for mission impossible 4, its "the same thing again" compared to other action movies, but the first two mission impossible movies (never saw the 3rd) were just horrible hooooorrible movies, it made 80's buddy cop films look good by comparison

but the 4th movie was actually pretty decent for an action movie, it poked fun of itself, the action scenes were entertaining. that whole building in dubai section of the movie that they beat to death in the trailers was much better than anticipated. the ending was kind of self serving on cruises part, but luckily it didnt last too long.

i did the same thing with Scream. Saw Scream 3 before even seeing the first two movies. Plus, with Serenity, the storyline was written in such a way that one didnt need to watch the series to be able to watch the movie.

Now thanks to USA Network i am finally able to watch GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra. i am having a geek moment watching it: i am flashing back to watchingthe cartoon series and the animated movies...i need to find those on dvd now

you kinda missed the point there

yes, you can watch the movie serenity by itself, but it spoils the show

Watched the Norwegian movie Troll Hunter, which was really good for a mockumentary. Also makes me glad I'm an atheist.

Not to be outdone by their Finnish neighbors' Rare Exports, the Norwegians came up with Troll Hunter.

You say it was really good "for a mockumentary." How does it fare in general?

it was a decent movie, but they kinda hammed up the ending a bit, also how dumb were those kids?. and the troll hunter himself was a bit douchey at first but he really does kind of grow on you

its a decently fun movie overall
