Trainer Battles - Trainer battles stopped a little while back, but there is no reason they cannot go ahead.
- Trainer Battles may resume at any time. While attack descriptions are still not complete, we trust that our refs can use official pokemon attack descriptions to guide them through the early stages of the battles until our list is complete.

Just recently in fact, in the new Development forum on BMG. I wouldn't lie to you guys like that. ;^;

Ok so someone stop me from going through the Adoption Centre with a net and scooping up all the whims I've got - I know it's pretty full atm and people really need to start adopting, but considering I haven't even RPed with half my squad yet, haven't even managed to reply to the things I have to because I am a terrible human being and, of course, they are whims from the guy literally nicknamed because of his fickle nature, I really shouldn't pick any new pokemon up for a while

I didn't even realize what was going on until you said this. So thanks for that. I had thought people were just quoting Tess's posts from our own Suggestions & Inquiries thread here on UPN and I had maybe missed some of the text. It made a lot more sense where the quotes were all coming from once I saw the BMG thread. ^^;

So the next time you're searching UPN trying to find out where the heck that post is where you could've sworn you voiced such-and-such argument, there you go. I didn't want to clutter up that post with unnecessary chitchat, so I guess I'll go into the things I took note of but didn't mention in the BMG post ...

No more shard quests: Sad, but it doesn't have to equate the death of riddles in FB either. Updators can still provide riddles for their updatees. Have done in the past, numerous times already. So I'm sad to see what were basically "purchasable riddles" disappear but oh well.

Mystery Eggs being normalized: I honestly didn't expect this one. ^^; I know people demanded it, but I figured the staff would say "No! XP" for any number of reasons. So ... yeah. Hmm. Once Gen VI comes out, I can pretty much confirm that I will switch from Ice Glacier eggs to A SURPRISE BUT NOT REALLY, OoOooOOOOooOOoOooOOh! ;o

Eggs going from 3 weeks to 6 weeks: Kneejerk reaction is disappointment. But then I soon realize how entranced I've become by the shop grind. And the fact that, yeah admittedly, if we want to motivate everyone to get back into the zones more, then scaling back the free handouts might be the most logical place to start. I dunno though. All I can keep thinking is, "I'm glad I at least have most of my biggest wants acquired or on the way. ^^;"

Smeargle: I'm interested to hear what the new stipulations will be. I have some ideas on what it could be, but I'll spare us the speculation and just wait for the official news.

Pokédex: Not my battle. So long as the 'dex is 1) accurate, 2) easy to navigate quickly, and 3) loads quickly, I don't much mind. I understand that Veekun proponents stress it is the most accurate one of the litter, but it's not like Serebii's is that bad, guys. ^^; And I actually think both Serebii and Bulbapedia are easier to skim through than Veekun. Veekun likes to dump every generation's information all onto one page. ... Anyway, not looking for an argument. I honestly wouldn't have minded using Veekun that much. I just don't see it as imperative that we switch over to using it either. Kinda reminds me of the OS wars. I feel like Veekun is the Linux of the discussion, Serebii the Windows, and Bulbapedia the MacOS.

Berries: Could be neat! lol @ what Tess says, which is very true, about how we both ask for cool new shops and then in the same breath decry shops as the death of FB. I dunno. Count me in as one of those hypocrites! ^^;; 'Cause I do think shops ought to be de-emphasized (or at least turned into a more RPG-locked feature) but at the same time I can't deny that farming berries could prove to be loads of fun.

"Beauty" --> Happiness: Ugh, our fandom! @_@ Drivin' me crazy. What do we call the mechanic that's been around since Gen 2 and what do we call the one newly introduced in Gen 6? 'Cause one of them is happiness and the other is something synonymous. Just want to make sure we're applying the right term to the right concept.

I think that's about it for now, though I feel like I'm forgetting something. These + what I said in the BMG post should have me mostly covered though!
