UPN PASBL: rotomotorz (C) Vs. Quilavaflare (A)

Statistics:

Quote:
Rotomotorz (c) vs. Quilavaflare (a)
3v3
Singles
Slapstick
Equiall 1
48 HR DQ
Switch = KO
Violight Arena:
Spoiler: show
This is a relatively simple indoor arena with a large tile center and two ledges on the north and south edges of the arena about a half a foot higher than the center. The center tiles come in four different colors which separate the center into four equal quadrants. Scattered around the center are multiple electric tiles where a 1 meter by 1 meter section of tile is about half a foot lower than the rest of the center. Some sort of raw electricity flows across the bottom of these tile sections, and any Pokémon standing in one of these tiles will take good electric damage before the tile de-activates and stops electricity from flowing in that tile. The only exception to this are Ground-type Pokémon, who take no damage and cause the electric tile to de-activate, and Electric-type Pokémon, who take no damage and do not cause the tile to de-activate. In addition, there are four large towers in the corners of the tile center, as well as an extremely large tower in the center of the arena. Each of the four smaller towers also has a switch next to it. Stepping on a switch will cause the tower next to it to charge up with electricity before striking an entire quadrant of the center from above with electricity which deal good electric damage to anything in that quadrant. The northeast tower strikes the southwest quadrant; the northwest tower strikes the southeast quadrant; the southeast tower strikes the northwest quadrant; and the southwest tower strikes the northeast quadrant. Additionally, every three round, the large tower in the center will strike three random spots of the arena, which can deal considerable electric damage if they hit a Pokémon.
Arena Special Rules: Electric Tiles, Switch Activated Towers, Electric System
Optional Special Rules: None
I have no idea about Quilavaflare's experience, so, here is the order:

- rotomotorz posts his squad of 6 Pokemon.
- Quilavaflare posts his squad of 6 Pokemon and chooses his first one, without orders.
- rotomotorz chooses his Pokemon with orders.
- Quilavaflare orders.
- I ref the round.
- The next round, the order is reversed, so...
- Quilavaflare orders.
- rotomotorz orders.
- I ref the round.
- And so on...

First battle i've had on UPN in a few weeks lol. Good luck Quilava, and ty for picking this up Mew!

Lumin-Level 1 Male Shinx
HP Water
Sig:
Spoiler: show

Signature Move: Paralyzing Glare (Electric)
Lumin turns toward the opponent and glares at it extremely fiercely, going through solid objects, and prevents the opponent from using any offensive moves the rest of the turn, as well as doing minor electrical damage if opponent is not behind anything and is facing Lumin. The opponent also feels some degree of fear, proportional to how well off Lumin is compared to the opponent. Obviously, the more health and energy the opponent has compared to Lumin, the less scared they'll be. Lumin must use this attack by itself, can only use this attack once per opposing Pokemon, and cannot use it twice in a row. This attack costs significant energy, and the power of all special attacks goes down by 10% for five turns after using this move.

Lifeguard-Level 1 Male Buizel
HP Fire
Sig:
Spoiler: show

Signature Technique: Tail Mastery
Any attack involving Lifeguard's tail now do 15% more damage, but cost 15% more energy. Lifeguard can also use Dragon Tail and Poison Tail, but loses Blizzard and Hydro Pump.

Isometric-Level 1 Genderless Porygon
HP Fire
Pulsar-Level 1 Male Elgyem
HP Fire
Kinetic-Level 1 Genderless Klink
HP Ground
Karma-Level 2 Uplevel Female Modern Vivillon
HP Fire

Both of the Warlords enter the battlefield, ready for a war. They are sure to lose many of their allies and comrades in this battle... or maybe not. Quilavaflare, a veteran to wars, sends out his Pokemon first, choosing Gumster the Goomy as his leading warrior. On the other side, rotomotorz smashes the ground with his weapon, and calls upon Isometric... who seems to have traveled back from the future.

Quote:
Goomy (Dragon): Goomy is slow and slimy, but also rather soft and squishy, giving it a 10% resistance to physical attacks. Its body is amorphous, allowing it to move across the ground by oozing or slithering, as well as making it hard to grasp.
Dragon: Dragons tend to be good swimmers and fliers. However, they hate cold weather.

Porygon (Normal): Porygon is created entirely of programming code. While the slowest of the two, Porygon is more agile. Porygon and is evolutions are capable of hovering, which gives them greater maneuverability but restricts how high they can fly (about 10 feet above the surface or so, though they typically float about a foot off the ground unless ordered otherwise).
Normal: Normal types can use the greatest variety of attacks in the league: they pay for this, however, by having less type energy. In the ASB, Normal types take 100% damage from Ghost type moves.
Isometric, despite the fact that it is sent out after his opponent, decides to make the starting Move, drawing from tiny specks of Fire, Electric and Ice Type energy, which the Porygon combines to create a Normal Type Attack. Gumster, on the other hand, sees this coming, and decides to just Bide his time, knowing that patience bears ripe fruit, as the Goomy closes his eyes and braces his slimy body for a painful assault. Isometric then unleashes his attack, the Trio of elements flying towards Gumster and cancelling each other's elemental influence out. The attack hits Gumster, who is now surrounded by a red aura, with the aura only growing darker as the energy passes through it. Gumster takes damage nonetheless, but avoids a status effect, his eyes still shut tight.

Isometric seems to be a little puzzle, with its opponent not making any attempt to dodge and seemingly covering in fear. Considering this a good opportunity to strike, the Porygon repeats its previous attack, drawing another Trio of elements and sending them flying in Gumster's direction. The Goomy's eyes still closed, the three elements combine into a single Normal Type Attack. It hits Gumster with the metaphorically sharp edge, the Goomy taking some loathed damage from the attack. Gumster, however, suddenly opens his eyes, an angry expression on his face. The red aura around him grows ever darker, and then flies in Isometric's direction in the form of a mighty beam. It batters the Porygon badly, it having taken devastating damage.

Isometric is almost through his first third. Energy use was also fair, but he is still quite fresh due to this only being the first turn.

Gumster has a large health lead now, but it can diminish anytime. Energy use was a lot, despite it being a one mover, and Gumster shall love to take it easier than this next round.

>Veteran of war.
My original point was that I'm still TL1 after all that time. Still far from veteran. XD

Make 'em jealous of your Swagger, then hold a Protect. Catch up in your energy while you can, buddy.

Round 2: Sweet Revenge

Both sides stare at each other intently, with both of them quite battered already, Isometric much worse so. Both sides begin to use their Moves at the same time, with Gumster being more tired than his opponent, but having priority orders, both of the sides attempting to use their Moves before their opponent. Gumster starts moving around in an arrogant fashion, as he shows off his Swagger. Isometric, on the other hand, does the same thing, simultaneously showing off its own Swagger. Gumster suddenly grows furious seeing the Porygon hovering around in this way, while the same thing happens to Isometric as it sees the manner in which the Goomy's slimy, slippery body Moves. In other words... both sides become furious at each other, their eyes narrowing down into death glares... making both look creepy in their own way...

With Gumster too furious to listen to his trainer's orders, which clearly tell him to try a defensive maneuver, and just wishes he can attack his opponent, but knows that it shall put him at bad terms with his trainer. Isometric blindly decides to show Gumster just how powerful it is, using up all of his Ice Type energy for the attack. His body glows a pale blue colour, after which a Blizzard is released from his body, flying all around at first, after which it gets concentrated on Gumster. The attack devastates the Goomy, chilling his body to an unbelievable extent and leaving some snow covering his slimy body. Isometric just more than got right back at its opponent, although it seems to have been left a little winded up after performing such an attack after being enraged.

Gumster is only a small way over the half mark after enduring that desolating typespammy hit. His breather allows him to go all out next turn, but he does not appreciate it, because he is still angry.

Isometric took no damage, but is a little winded up and would love to take it a little easier next turn, although a breather is far from being needed. Ice Type energy is out.

For the record, my Swagger was cooler.

Let's go for the KO Goomy! Use Sludge Wave to try and knock him into the electrical outputs, then Dragon Breath.

Isometric enjoys the fact that his opponent has been greeted by what he deserved, the Porygon in a much calmer state now. However, it still knows that letting out on the offensive or at least doing something to help the situation shall only prove to be counter productive, and as such, it decides to keep up the pressure. As Gumster tries to shake off the snow covering him, Isometric draws energy from a Trio of elements and combines them into a single Attack, which he then fires in Gumster's direction. The attack cleanly hits the Goomy for some more damage, causing it to cringe in pain momentarily before countering with its own attack. It opens its mouth to release a powerful Wave of... Sludge. With us all hoping that Gumster is not using slime from his own body for this attack, the wave simply washes over Isometric and pushes it back a bit, but the electric tiles do not affect it due to the fact that it is airborne, the electricity harmlessly passing through the tiles underneath.

Clearly not satisfied with the damage dealt, due to him still clearly having a health disadvantage, Gumster decides to use an attack he is more familiar with, choosing to show his opponent the power of a true Dragon. He opens his mouth to collect some Dragon Type energy inside, which he then Breathes out in Isometric's direction in the form of flames, greenish blue in colour. The attack itself is not amazingly harsh, but it manages to leave Isometric with some mild Paralysis. Someone here is going to be unable to maneuver as well.

Isometric has take lots of damage this turn, and has dropped to his middle third. He appreciated the breather, and can go all out next turn. He is mildly paralyzed.

Gumster had a much better round, but has dropped under the half mark. His energy use was not really that harsh, but still quite high. He can manage a weakened Sludge Wave with his remaining Poison Type energy.

Hopefully you got that out of your system, then. Let's try an MC Substitute, then Confide. Just hang in there a bit, Gumster.

Round 4: Violight's Secret Traps

Gumster is clearly looking much calmer right about now, and is probably going to listen to any defensive maneuvers that his trainer orders him to use. Sure enough, he decides to create a decoy for himself to Substitute for him in times of crisis... like now. With Isometric having no idea about what is going on due to his mental block, he only sees his opponent just sitting there. Deciding to wait for his opponent to attack before he does so, too, Isometric decides to improve his Agility to try and ease the bad effects of his paralysis. He starts flying around in a rhythmic, yet fairly fast fashion, making his paralysis seem non-existent, the speed boost restoring his normal ability to maneuver in the air, and even exceeding it, although the effects would be have been greater if not for the paralysis.

Isometric decides that he is good to go now, ready to deal some serious damage once again. Using an attack that is iconic for the Porygon line, he draws energy from a Trio of elements and concentrates them into a single Attack, with each element cancelling the others out. The attack is then send flying in Gumster's direction... or at least, his decoy. Gumster himself moves backwards to avoid the attack, but is then greeted by a shock as he steps on the electrified tiles, although the energy is resisted by the Dragon Type. Knowing that he is not going to last very long under the pressure of so many attacks, Gumster decides to weaken his opponent, as he Confides a secret... that he is actually the most powerful Dragon Type Pokemon of all. The thought of this is so ridiculous that Isometric becomes more hesitant to attack, his Special Attacks weakening...

Isometric took no damage. His energy use was fair, but nothing to worry about as of yet.

Gumster took both self inflicted damage and a small shock. As such, he has dropped to his last third, although the Substitute is still up. His energy use it still fine.

Huh? That's no secret. Everyone knows that.

Gumster, let's teach this rather boring Pokemon a lesson. Absorb, then a full force Draco Meteor!

Round 5: Stop Spamming Tri Attack Or Isometric Shall Get Really Tired Really Fast

Isometric decides to try and strike its opponent again and again in an attempt to make him just fall down to the ground and stay down, because he is looking a little too persistent today. No one likes fighting a slime, especially when this slime, unlike others, is not weak to Fire. Deciding to throw Fire into the Trio of elements that compose its Attack, anyway, Isometric shoots a blast composed of three elements in Gumster's direction. The Types cancel each other out, forming a fairly powerful attack, which hits "Gumster" for some more damage, making him fade away... and suddenly appear where he was at the end of the last round, only a small way behind his decoy. He then starts to Absorb a small amount of energy from Isometric, the effect almost negligible, although Gumster does feel ever so slightly fresher afterwards.

Isometric suddenly realizes that it has been tricked, and does not appreciate this fact at all. Deciding to get back at its opponent for creating such an illusion, Isometric once again draws energy from a Trio of elements. It sends them flying in Gumster's direction, the Attack once against having the Types cancelling each other out. Gumster takes some damage once again, but is not knocked back far enough to get electrocuted by another tile. Gumster has had it. He has lost his patience. The time to finish his opponent off has come. Well, he cannot really do that, but he get points for trying. Opening his cute, big mouth, he shows everyone what being a Draco is all about, as he charges a humongous amount of Dragon Type energy inside his mouth and then unleashes it in the form of several Meteor-like projectiles. They blast Isometric into a wall, dealing some devastating damage despite not being typespammy. On the other hand, Gumster seems to be panting after that unload...

Isometric has dropped under the half mark in terms of health. Energy use was fair, but it is still fine on that regard.

Gumster fell further into his last third. He is panting, and his Dragon Type Moves are weakened.

The tower did not hit any of you on Round 3. Round 6 is next. Watch out.

Round 6: First Blood

Despite his health being quite low, Gumster is hesitant to give up. In fact, he seems determined to not give up, no matter what comes his way. With the tower in the middle of the arena starting to light up with electricity, Gumster's slimy body somehow starts flickering, the slime seemingly becoming... unstable. In a matter of seconds, a Team of two Goomy, one of them a body Double, is seen standing in front of Isometric. The Porygon, however, is not going to be deceived this time, as it starts to glow, and releases a Round of beautiful, multicoloured shockwaves, accompanied by a dreadful sound. The shockwaves, spread out to hit a wide area, easily destroy the clone, and also deal some damage to Gumster himself, the clone fading and the Goomy taking some more loathed damage, essentially wasting one of the two Double Teams allowed in the match.

Gumster knows that he is not going to last too long at this rate, what with actually being quite tired now, panting quite hard now. He decides to take a good Rest to relieve this weariness, one which is admittedly well deserved. His slimy body settles down on the floor, the Goomy falling asleep almost instantly after his eyes close. Meanwhile, on the other hand, Isometric feels a dreadful current of electricity rush through its body, and suddenly realizes that it has been zapped quite hard. However, it still refuses to give up, and uses a colossal amount of energy to make his whole body glow with a blinding orange aura, which then turns into a Beam, extremely Hyper in terms of destruction caused, to accelerate in Gumster's direction. The sheer pain instantly wakes Gumster up, only for him to be smashed into the wall. His slimy body then seems to spread wide... indicating that he lacks the health to stand, and is unable to battle, having waken up only to fall unconscious again.

Gumster is unable to battle! Next Pokemon from Quilavaflare!

Isometric has fallen to his last third of health due to the electrical shock, and is just into its last third of energy. It badly needs to recharge next turn.

Nicely done then. Don't worry Goomy, you just had a tad bit of bad luck.

Melodine, let's go! Let's make quick work of this guy, or else we're in trouble. Mimic, and then Safe Guard.

Make use of the fact that Mimic probably can't work if it didn't see your last attack and even if it does work it needs explicit orders to use that attack anyways to do nothing

Round 7: This Round Does Not Even Need A Reffing

With the most courageous Dragon Type in existence having been defeated on the battlefield and obtained "Veergati", Quilavaflare returns Gumster to his Pokeball, complimenting him for his valiant efforts. Choosing another Pokemon to try and counter Isometric, Quilavaflare sends out Melodine the Mareep, who seems to actually be at home in this kingdom, being an Electric Type Pokemon. This battle is surely going to take an interesting turn.

Quote:
Mareep (Electric): Mareep's fur is slightly charged: any Pokémon not resistant to electricity who comes into physical contact with Mareep has a 25% chance of flinching. Mareep have the ability to use the balls on their tails as lights. While not as powerful as a Flash attack, they light up the arena without blinding opponents or allies, and doing so takes almost no energy to maintain. It is considered one move for a Mareep to light its tail. This will, however, make it a more obvious target for Pokémon who can see in dark areas.
Electric: Electric types, in general, prefer areas where their electric attacks are most accurate. Thus, while hot temperatures don’t bother them, the fact that heat refracts electricity doesn’t appeal to them.
Melodine cheerfully looks at her opponent, the Mareep full of energy, and more than ready for an intense battle. She decides to try and Mimic her opponent's last Move -- an extremely powerful attack, Hyper Beam, which would surely devastate Isometric if it were to hit it. However, since she has not really seen the attack, she ends up being quite puzzled, having no idea as to what she is supposed to do in order to execute the Move. Isometric, on the other hand, is panting hard, barely able to perform any motions that are not essentially passive. The Porygon, however, decides to not try anything, not that it would have had worked. Melodine waits for her opponent to execute a Move, but this never actually happens, the round coming to an end. Congratulations, the two of you. This is even worse than Lanturn and me. Neither of your Pokemon did anything at all.

Nothing happened this round. You do not need a summary. However, Isometric shall be good to go next turn.
