Should I go for Toxapex (sea anemone), Araquanid (waterbell spider) or Golisopod (Wimped evolution)? I'm merely asking in case one of these ends up a version exclusive or because you might now what works best to balance out the team for the storyline (without spoiling what actually happens please).

Also asking because I really, really, really, really, really can't choose between these few.

Hyper Training Spoiler

I did some reading about how Hyper Training works. Basically it only gives the STATS of a 31 IV. It doesn't actually change the IV. That means if you want a specific Hidden Power, you still have to breed for it. Good news for shinies and legends with good/decent natures but bad IVs.

Araquanid, huh? Is that another Bug/Water type? That sounds interesting!

I say Golisopod. Best stats/movepool for ingame, and Wimpod is by far the easiest of those three lines to find.

None of the ones you have in the spoiler are version exclusive- however, the 'confirmed' list does have some warnings that need to be brought up. Silvally isn't available until the post-game (and you only get the one at that), and salandit has Vespiquen Syndrom. That said, I can say some good things about the spoilered 'mon: toxapex could potentially have solid synergy with salandit thanks to it's Merciless ability (attacks against poisoned targets are guaranteed to crit), and golisopod does a great job at turning it's prevo's weakness into a potential strength with it's First Impression attack. Golisopod is the only I've seen in action, however, so feel free to ignore me if you want.

Homebrew won't install cia files, you need cfw do it (It's also super easy to do and I've done it a few times since I have two 3dses).

Thank you for the feedback. I definitely think I've narrowed down my final party. Golisopod it appears to be. Salazzle I will keep regardless of Vespiquen syndrome or nor (I've used Vespiquen myself in a Diamond run-through) and it's design is awesome enough for now to ignore that.
Thank you also MedMana for your other comment. That was genuinely something I was expecting but forgot to ask about. Glad that issue was tackled. I've made the appropriate changes to my party.

TL;DR for people who dislike Kotaku, people who use the online functions of Sun and Moon before launch are getting banned from online shit. Even the eShop.

Doesn't seem like this is exclusive to pirated copies, as even legit copies from stores selling them early are being banned if online functions are used.

There seems to be two major things happening here.

1) All online functionality, up until a certain point (people are thinking last night/this morning) flagged people for bans. Reviewers were warned not to go online. People who had legitimate copies supposedly fell into this group as well. At a certain point the ban hammer was applied and people had their online functionality banned (eshop, online play, etc). Right now people are messing around with online stuff and doing fine but we don't know if it will last. Nintendo might be afraid it's too close to release date (people get shit early all the time) or they might be waiting to do another mass ban at once.

2) The original leaker fucked with the sun/moon files and changed the version number from .32 to .0 which means it's possible Nintendo has a way to detect leaked copies online even after the game goes live.


There is a chance some of the people banned are only banned for two weeks, but there's no way to know for sure until that time passes.

Hey, so, yeah, we're opening the floodgates on Sun/Moon content being allowed finally tomorrow (technically, tonight as the clock strikes midnight EST). Let me clarify something; Please, please, for the love of god, don't blatantly or openly spoil plot points... at least not right away. Talon made a good point with the "It's been 3,000 years..." meme coming out shortly after X & Y. All I ask is you be respectful of your peers and sort of feel the atmosphere before you do something like that after some time has passed. Man, I really don't like to do this, but I'm gonna have to switch from Rowlet to Litten at the last second. Reason being I'm getting Moon first because...

Drampa and Lunala are my first priorities on version exclusives (also I've literally always gotten the second game first- Sapphire, LeafGreen, Pearl, SoulSilver White, White2, Y, Alpha Sapphire) but I really, really want to use Turtonator as well, so I can't have Litten as my starter in Sun when I get that around Christmastime ;-;

I THIIINK my girlfriend is picking Rowlet so if the Daycare is early enough in the game (if someone who has played the game could let me know through PM that would be awesome) I'll be able to use both. Otherwise, looks like I'm shit outta luck and forced to put Rowlet on hold for the time being. ;u;

Do you have Pokébank? Couldn't you technically reset and save your old starter by depositing it to Pokébank? I contemplated doing that to get all starters. I don't think there's a restriction on its usage in Sun and Moon?
