Dumb Reasons for being Arrested

I'm finding a lot these lately, and we have a dumb laws thread, so why not? The first I'd like to share with you is this case. As punishment, the student was handcuffed, sent to a junvenile detention center without his parents being notified, and suspended for the rest of the school year. His crime? Burping. Burping.

The same boy was also accused of selling pot because he said he had $200 in his pocket. The boy said it was because he was going shopping after school.. Instead of letting him call his mother, the school made him strip down to his underwear while five adults watched.

Seriously, what the fuck? Anyway, if you have heard of any weird stuff like this, feel free to post it here.

The story of the 12 year old who was charged for assault for thtowing a cocktail sausage at a pensioner comes to mind. Charges were dropped, though.

It's a pretty old story, and I can't provide a link atm, but a google search of "Arrested for throwing a cocktail sausage" should suffice.

I find it kinda funny that when Al Capone finally got arrested, it was for tax evasion. Mm hmm.

No, not really. It was merely the only thing they could prove he did do and guaranteed he was put away for a certain amount of time. Whenever they bust a crime boss, it's usually for something like tax evasion because it's exceedingly difficult to prove if they had someone killed as someone else usually does the dirty work.
