I still come here every day, though there's not much to talk about when one's life is rather boring. I'm very interested in what BBB, Loki and Talon are doing right now but they're not here - BBB and Loki are MMORPG'ing themselves to death, Talon is med schooling himself to death, and I'm getting my arse kicked at mahjong.

Speaking of that, Morg/BPK, did you guys know Akirus is 4 Dan? And here I'm about to lose my 2 Dan rank!!

"insane" cannot describe how scary that sounds. When you get tired of it, not only will anime be waiting for you but my friend and I want to invite you to play BG.

I was going to send you an IM about it but then I remembered you said your computer doesn't have a lot of power. Only afterward did I remember BG was designed for computers without a lot of power (Pentium 1). :O

It'll be a while before I get tired of it XD Actually, when I started playing, it was in it's open beta testing stage. Since then, more features have been added, which are called Generations. Right now, with the third generation just releasing, I have bunches to do. Actually, the skillcaps have been released with this generation, so I has to master my skills and stuffies XD Actually, I'm the only person I know who has a rank 1 skill already (is currently working on another) =D

Actually, we needs some people in here to play Mabinogi =o I'm the officer of a guild (was leader, but the creator wanted his spot back) and I'll welcome anyone here in it ;D

BG uses 2nd Edition D&D, which was my first exposure to it. Like Blastoise once said it's sort of funky, but it works and actually feels "ADVANCED" rather than 3rd Edition, which was rather simplified and (dare I say) removed a lot of quality controls for the Forgotten Realms setting. 4th Edition is something I've only heard of in hearsay and read about, but from what "changes" I know of it's downright insulting and coming out with 4th on a few years after 3rd screams marketing ploy to me.

To think in elementary school I stood up for Wizards of the Coast as being the "Id Software/Apogee of fantasy" but since the Hasbro buy out they've lost my favour.

This is Mabinogi, right? How old is it? I seem to remember seeing an old ad in a magazine at my public library but several of the mahjong folks discovered it circa...March/April/May I think.

When I graduated high school I had just started playing MapleStory, based on a invitation from a friend at the now-dead likwid RPGMaker website. It quickly turned into a grind but it was partially my fault for trying to do an impossible character (dexless warrior). I've heard Mabinogi is much the same, and without pvp there's not much I look for in MMORPGs anymore. I sort of wish there was a 2D MMORPG for Forgotten Realms, that would be cool - especially if buildings, landscape and stuff could be destroyed and political factions could change as well. Even with a game like BG2 the exploration limitation still constrain the mind. I think Return to Krondor was more liberating in this regard, since one of those chapters was an exploration across the continent, from Krondor to Haldon Head.
