Mono Water VS Mono Ice.
This one was a big closer and for some stupid reason I didn't anticipate the Lapras would have Water Absorb. Ż\_(ツ)_/Ż

I'm starting to face KB, as I knew I would. Surprisingly, it's not been as horrible as I anticipated.
The main issue is that dynamax KB has no way of blocking Intimidate, and the most common variant using LO erodes KB's biggest feature: the huge HP. While I can't outspeed KB, I've been able to wear it down through intimidates keeping its attack at a manageable level. This might have just been a bad player, though. I've also had a surprising amount of trouble with Ferrothorn, unlike in Gen VIII OU. And for the most part I'm seeing fewer Z-Move and Mega users, and far more dynamax abusers.

Mega VS Dynamax, is Tyranitar bulky enough to eat a hit?

I've made it up to 1400 in the beta ladder but it's harder to progress because fewer high elo players are online.
My conclusion is that as busted as Ash-Greninja is with dynamax, Kartana is worse. Kartana is magnitudes worse than Gyarados, as this replay will showcase. Leaf Blade Smart Strike Sacred Sword All of these have the ability to snowball with dynamax. Killing something with Max Knuckle is a free Swords Dance boost. Killing something with Max Overgrowth summons Grassy Terrain for another double attack. And Max Steelspike adds +1 defense and makes Kartana even harder to break with physical attacks. Like Gyarados and Ash-Greninja, it's the perfect synergy of offensive pressure. But unlike Gyarados, who needs to DD, Scarf Kartana returns to using Scarf after the dynamax ends. Also, Dragapult's lack of a physical Ghost-STAB? Fixed by Z-Moves. The only reason I don't use Dragonium Z is I'm not sure Dragon Darts will work with it. But Phantom Force absolutely will.

Verlisify made a video about how Dracovish is overrated, and if that isn't a big flat glowing endorsement I don't know what is.

In natdex, it is overrated in a sense.
Like with Darmanintan-G, the best set is scarf because it guarantees kills against anything that doesn't resist water or specially defensive walls, but a physically defensive Toxapex can check it. The horrifying set is band, scarf + rain, or band + rain...all of which I have used, and it is admittedly impressive. But just throwing Dracovish in a team randomly isn't going to get the most out of it. But, I've already seen the future. There are a few people on natdex who are using teams with the likes of: Dracovish Dracozolt Darmanintan-G Kartana All scarfed. Zolt's Hustle Bolt Beak hits a little harder than Vish's Fishious Rend, and the two are only resisted by Dragon...who Darmanintan takes care of. Kartana rounds out the "unga bunga" attackers. All of them are dynamax threats. Pretty lame.

Zygarde-C is so stupid and a huge threat. Look at this BS, even hitting it with x4 super-effective moves isn't enough.

Blissey/Chansey are infuriating and I'm glad they're gone! Breaking stall but only barely, due to the initial lucky kill of Ferrothorn.

HP Ice from that Mega Manectric was able to kill Lando-T, then I did calcs and realized that Lando-T's own HP Ice can kill other Lando-T. I knew Lando ran it for coverage, but I didn't think it killed. I don't use Lando much so I was previously unaware of this interaction.
Coming off the stronger 130 SpA, I thought Zygarde would also go down to the HP Ice. The inability to deal with that Pokemon is why I ended up going back to Kyurem-B. 88 turns to kill stall, I could hear the seething through my computer screen when I set up the Stealth Rock. That was what won in the end. KB is pretty dumb with the sub set but we need wallbreakers like this to break stall cores. Dynamax isn't enough.

Dracovish is an absolute abomination to look at
but it's the kind of absolute abomination that I would use on my team to cheese victories lmao

Stall is literally everywhere. But it seems like the better players are at the bottom of the ladder, with those higher up getting so far only due to ragequits.
Like this guy, possibly the worst stall player I've played in Gen VIII. Certainly that 1000 elo battle was a lot harder than this was.

I've seen this meme team before and I've beaten it, but it's annoying as fudge to play against.

Got lucky this gent decided to Volt Switch with Galvantula, instead of Sticky Web.
Dracovish has certainly been a huge help for offense, but I'm still struggling with defensive options. I really need something that can handle Grass not named Azumarill. If only Sap Sipper could run Seismic Toss, she'd be usable.

Dracovish is just 40 flavors of obnoxious. Fishious is 170 before strong jaw to anything slower than it.
I'm never a fan of Pokémon that just say "you automatically lose if you're slower at all regardless of anything else, fuck you."

TIL: Gengar can break through Cosmic Power Clefable using Hex and Will-o-Wisp.
It's too bad Gengar doesn't have Thunder Wave because that's so much better.

I'm using Gengar as I attempt to qualify for the Dynamax suspect. It's hard to set up because the only thing Gengar can come in on is Toxapex, and Scarf Dragapult is everywhere.
Dragapult itself is very hard to check in the OU meta proper, and I've found that Ditto (even without Dynamax) can reverse sweep just by transforming into a Dragapult on a free switch.

I have zero interest in anything y'all are saying. Technical-type deals are beyond me.... but I can say with full honesty that I hate rotom in all its forms, and dracovish too.

As someone who really likes Rotom-Mow and dracovish (seriously, I did not expect to actually be good), this saddens me. Rotom-Wash is a putz, though. On a different note, can someone with a bit more hands-on knowledge judge the validity of this summary image? Spoiler: show |

"lovely weather today" "how did I get here" "HYDRO PUUUMP" and "how fast are you? yes" are unimaginably correct. However, I think we need to cram Moxie into Gyarados's summary.
