There are certain locations and methods that have increased shiny chances.

Like I found my first and so far only shiny in the Friend Safari; I've heard numerous stories of shinies from there.

Also there's the rumor that tipping increases your shiny rate?

That actually might make sense, at the beginning of the game I did tip but dont now, probably try this theory out, I mean its not like we now exactly if 'tipping' does anything in the game...yet.

I'm pretty sure that's just a rumour because I've always tipped the maximum amount and I've never had a shiny encounter. :/

Subbed out Sliggoo (because it always rains except when I need it to) for an Adamant Tyrunt. Of course, in doing so, forgetting it needs daytime to evolve. Beat Wulfric (<3 him so hard), went through Victory Road. Battling E4.

For the main storyline that shouldn't be true at all since that is a hidden ability.

JJ: it's a pale blue color, like periwinkle (?) or something. Frogadier ends up substantially darker around the hands, upper back and face with the same pale blue everywhere else. Pretty cool looking.

Fuck! I always used to name my Zigzagoon harem in RSE all "slave" because they existed only to serve me (PickUp, HMs) and had no importance to me beyond what I gained from their presence.

Of course, in doing so, forgetting it needs daytime to evolve. Beat Wulfric (<3 him so hard), went through Victory Road. Battling E4. E4 Spoilers Spoiler: show Malva's team were all OHKOed by Greninja. Scald for all but Torkoal, whom I opted for Hydro Pump against instead. Siebold was next, and I used Dragalgae at first. He posed little threat until Starmie, since OHKOs with Thunderbolt. Even then, it was a 2HKO on Starmie after Light Screen. Barbarcle was OHKOed by Chesnaught's Wood Hammer. Wikstrom up. Talonflame OHKOed Klefki easy. Probopass was a 2HKO from Greninja (damn Sturdy), but Aegislash took him with Sacred Sword. Talonflame took him down, however. I went ahead and healed Talonflame from the recoil and sustained hit from Aegislash, and took out Scizor in one Flare Blitz. I used a Revive and a couple Fresh Waters, and moved on. Drasna seems quite gothic, doesn't she? And so nice. Sylveon out first. Calm Mind twice, walling those nasty Sludge Bomb from Dragalgae, and then sweeping with Dazzling Gleam. +2 neutral Sylveon OHKOed them all. Probably didn't even need the boost. And then, the champion. Let me just say that I knew it was Diantha. And that is it. I have no clue what her lineup is at all. I lead with Sylveon. She sends out Hawlucha. I used Calm Mind, she used Swords Dance. I barely endured the Poison Jab and OHKOd back with Moonblast. I proceded to OHKO Tyrantrum as well. Aurorus would have been a 2HKO if not for Light Screen and a Full Restore. Luckily, Hidden Power Fighting and another Calm Mind (plus a well-timed healing) helped me there. Moonblast on Goodra, OHKO. And Gourgeist. FInally, Gardevoir. And I know She's going to go Mega. I have no Megas, myself, since I am using only Kalos Pokémon. I'm sweating a bit, as I have 3 Fairy-weak Pokémon and my best counter is Poison-weak. And then Moonblast OHKOed. A winner is me! Spoiler: show And then AZ out of the blue. Never saw it coming. After a Calm Mind, 2HKO on Torkoal, and then OHKO on Golurk and Sigilyph

Join Date: Aug 2011 Location: Camping the White Market Posts: 6,938	X Nuzlocke Chapter Three - The Long Walk Spoiler: show Plowed through the rest of Route 5 with ease and stopped off at Camphrier Town and the castle therein. Moved on to Route 7 but with Snorlax blocking the way there's no grass for me to find a new 'mon, so I find out I need the Pokeflute and continue to Route 6. Managed to stay away from the bushes on my way through and doubled back into the high grass to find... a Sentret. Caught her and named her Amy. Amy: Looks like I've finally got my HM Slave. Stats are nothing too special. Scared shitless of losing Leo to poison I start running for a Center, only to find he's not taking any damage as I'm doing so... huh, I guess poison damage in the overwold is no longer a thing. I go and complete the Furfrou Puzzle and grab HM Cut while I'm at it. Moving on to battle Snorlax. The fat tub of lard gives me a lot of trouble by tanking everything I throw at it but is eventually caught. I name him Ralph. Ralph: Most of his stats are beyond stellar, but sadly his HP is lacking. =/ Well, still a lot better than the Bunnelby I've been using. I go and learn about the Daycare and proceed to dive into the yellow flowers and am promptly scare out of my wits as a horde attacks me. Joy. Luckily it's a horde of Hoppip so I begin wiping them out one by one, with the rules dictating that I have to catch the one in the center. Easy catch is easy. Male so I name him Han. Han: Stats are worse than piss. Will likely never use. =/ I decide to do some training in the Chateau for easy levels. I make it through completely unscathed and earn the title of Viscountess. MOVING ON. During the Double Battle with your friends I discover that apparently a lv.15 Fletchling is apparently faster than my lv.21 Combusken at +4. No I don't know how that works. Popping into Connecting Cave I find an Axew. FUCK. YES. Dragon Rage proceeds to scare me shitless as it almost wrecks half of my team, so I decide toss my sole Ultra Ball at it, which ends up being a Critical Capture. Sweet. I name the little girl Meg. Meg: Attack, Defense, and Speed are HILARIOUSLY high. I finally have my Physical Sweeper. Decide to take Ralph out of the team for her, so I have another tank waiting in the wings just in case. Early game Dragon Rage is super good, and False Swipe will be super useful later. I step into Route 8 to grab another Pokemon before finishing the session, and have my Pokedex upgraded first. Waltzing in the grass I find a Spoink. Yay. Scares me a little as she almost kills Gadget, but I manage to catch her first. Name her Pearl for obvious reasons. Pearl: The only stat with even remotely usable IV's seems to be Defense. What a waste of a perfectly good Pokemon. =/ Having doubled back to check on Pearl I head back through the cave and save at the start of Route 8. Maybe next time I'll get to the second Gym. God that place is way too far away. Got myself a Pikachu, which unfortunately has a -Spatk nature so it doesn't hit hard at all. Did a bunch of wonder trades and ended up getting a Timid Abra, IV trained and everything, and now I've got an Alakazam already (I got it before I got the second Gym Badge... yeah). Picked Charmander as my Kanto starter for obvious reasons, Hasty nature isn't too bad I guess. Now I'm training up a Tyrunt and a Honedge, although I'll probably end up switching Honedge for the inevitable Lucario I've spoiled myself about. Really would like a Goodra over Tyrunt, but I need a Rock Type anyway, so its not too much trouble. Got 2 badges, moving on to the third now. Now I just need something that can fly... shit.
