Talon87 Turn 15
Erika's Bellsprout #2 (dammit both have #2 >.>) with the one Grass Energy is Talon87's new Active Pokemon.
Talon87 does indeed have a Grass Energy in Hand and is attached to Active Erika's Bellsprout. Also has Erika's Weepinbell and is attached to Erika's Bellsprout, thus evolving it. Also has Erika's Gloom and is attached to Erika's Oddish, thus evolving it. Attacks with Sleep Poison: The Defending Pokémon is now Asleep and Poisoned. Balmund's Lanturn is now Asleep and Poisoned. Between turns Lanturn takes 10 Damage due to Poison and is marked above. Also, a coin is flipped to see if Balmund's Lanturn stays asleep. If heads, it will awaken. Coin Flip ............HEADS! Lanturn wakes up. Talon87 Active Pokemon Erika's Weepinbell (GH) HP: 70/70 Energy: 2 Grass Bench Erika's Bellsprout #3 (GH) HP: 50/50 Energy: Erika's Gloom (GH) HP: 70/70 Energy: Erika's Dratini (GH) HP: 40/40 Energy: Cards in Hand: 5 Cards in Discard Pile: 29 Prizes remaining: 6 Cards in Deck: 12 Balmund Active Pokemon Lanturn (NG) [Focus Band] [Poisoned] HP: 30/70 Energy: 2 Electric| 1 Water Bench Marill (NG) #2 HP: 40/40 Energy: 1 Water Cards in Hand: 19 Cards in Discard Pile: 14 Prizes remaining: 2 Will be 1 after next turn. Sorry about that Acio, I had thought Lanturn's ability to be passive. Upon rereading it again, I now notice the "you may" part which makes it an optional activation.
-Attaching a Water Energy to my active Lanturn. -Playing a Double Gust from my hand and choosing Talon's benched Dratini as his active Pokémon. My only benched Pokémon is Marill, so he doesn't have much choice. -Discarding a Water Energy attached to my active Marill to retreat it back to my bench. -Making Lanturn my active Pokémon. -Attacking with Floodlight and activating Lanturn's Hydroelectric Power. -Picking Prize #6. *Ends Turn* And that, I believe marks the end of the match. GG. |

Balmund Turn 15
It's not a problem.
Balmund does indeed have a Water Energy in Hand and is attached to Lanturn. Also has Double Gust and is played: If you have any Benched Pokémon, your opponent chooses 1 of them and switches it with your Active Pokémon. Then, if your opponent has any Benched Pokémon, choose 1 of them and switch it with his or her Active Pokémon. Balmund selects Erika's Dratini to be Talon87's new Active pokemon and Talon87 must choose Marill. Marill is Retreated to the Bench, Lanturn is once again Balmund's Active pokemon. Attacks with Floodlight with the added power of Hydroelectric Power: Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. Coin Flip ...........HEADS! Erika's Dratini takes 40 Damage, is Paralyzed, and Knocked Out! Balmund takes his last prize and wins the duel! Talon87 Active Pokemon Erika's Dratini (GH) [Knocked Out] HP: 0/40 Energy: Bench Erika's Weepinbell (GH) HP: 70/70 Energy: 2 Grass Erika's Bellsprout #3 (GH) HP: 50/50 Energy: Erika's Gloom (GH) HP: 70/70 Energy: Cards in Hand: 5 Cards in Discard Pile: 29 Prizes remaining: 6 Cards in Deck: 12 Balmund Active Pokemon Lanturn (NG) [Focus Band] [Poisoned] HP: 30/70 Energy: 2 Electric| 2 Water Bench Marill (NG) #2 HP: 40/40 Energy: 0 Water Cards in Hand: 21 Cards in Discard Pile: 15 Prizes remaining: 0 Cards in Deck: 17 Good game guys. Talon could have made a little comeback I think if he got more lucky with the sleep and survived this turn, but oh well . 3 ;n; For winning, Balmund may quote and reply to this post to pick up 5,000 coins OR 1 Candy and a Booster Pack 3 of his choice from the current available expansions from the TCG Palace. For not winning, Talon87 may quote and reply to this post to have 3 randomly selected common cards from an expansion of his choice from the TCG Palace.[/SIZE] |

I got too lucky in that game with my coin flips. It could've gone the other way entirely. Next time, I'm done playing games and I'll bring the heat with a serious killer deck. |
