I'm willing to do one more battle before I eat dinner. Anyone?

If you search in the Duel Room it'll only tell you if we're in a duel or not. |

I've made a room in traditional that says "UPN only," as the duelnote. First come, first serve.

Pretty sure that only shows if we're currently looking for a duel. We were on, we just weren't doing that.

Every one who is currently on the site: Kusari Phoopes Deo Tuner Tdos Talon PH Concept Muyo Total: 9 We could technically have a tournament if a majority (8/9) were up to it. |

Traditional rules now have it so no cards are banned but some are limited which is stupid, but that is why you can only have one Raigeki.
Also you can search for users by clicking the user list icon in the bottom left corner of the site and then searching names. Once you do you can double click their name to IM them. Also I was wondering how long this site has been around for and how long before konami shuts it down?

>Well one of us would have to run it and not play, so we'd need 100% cooperation as it stands...
Alternativly, we could have a random third party pick the match ups and help work the administrative things out. |

I propose using a random tourney generator online and going by that. I also propose we can all play and two of us judge separately, since it will take place over the course of a week (presumably). I can read up on rulings and be one of the judges if we do that. Like I said, I passed the judges test back in 06 but never heard back to judge at local tourneys :/
So I'd have to catch up. Or, Muyo can, since he actually was a judge. And I'm sure Kusari and Tuner are more knowledgable about the games current format than I am *shrug*

Well ideally, we should play like an actual tournament for the experience, involving swiss rounds(4 swiss rounds with this many people) then cutting to top 4(with this many people) and doing single elimination for the winner.

I could go either way. Both work and are equally good.

I already have an account on challonge, which is a great bracket-making site. I could randomize seeds and set up a Swiss tourney if you'd like, and if there is enough participation.

If you doubt my impending entry into this tournament, you would be an idiot.
Big question here: Traditional or Advanced? |

I prefer the full Fluttershy use: "Pinkie Pie Swear", which was taken. Don't correct me on MLP ;o
And don't fret Concept and Talon, my deck is legal too.

Talon has bested me with a wicked first draw combo with Maha Vailo. It was pretty sweet. Great game. I had a combo of my own that would've been good, but Talon's just walled mine. Hard.

Easily the tourney's weakest link, if I should even participate. ^^; Got trolled terribly by Concept's stall deck twice in a row, though he did coo at my darling Blasts from the Past on a number of occasions. Then phoopes had a Turn 1 gg with a 2800/2400 and a 3000/2500 out on Turn 1 and the promise of a 5000/5000 out on on his third turn ... or he would have but for me getting sickly lucky with my opening hand. (Maha Vailo, unicorn horn, long fingernails of doom, and an MST.) With those four cards, I was able to (1) deny the 5000/5000 special summon, (2) kill the 2800/2400 dude who threatened to keep bringing more bros to the party, and (3) scare the BEWD into submission. So yeah. As far as I'm concerned, it was Solid Loss, Solid Loss, and Victory By Luck. Weak deck is weak.
I'm not really interested in learning how to play competitive YGO, neither 2007 era's nor the modern metagame. If you guys need someone else to pad out the tournament, I'll sign up, but I don't know that I'll play this game too too often. Maybe once or twice with Deoxys and then I might be done. Then again, you never know ...

I will volunteer to sit out if you guys want do a Swiss-style tournament. I'll volunteer to sit out regardless. Or to sit in regardless. Just let me know if you want/need me to play or if you want/need me to GTFO. No skin off my back either way. I enjoy the game modestly, sure, but clearly not to the extent that the eight or so of you do. I was always a bigger fan of the anime.
Now, if you guys want to do a Legacy MtG tournament, I'm all up for that. lol

I dunno any of the new rules/cards or whatever. I might just build something close to my old deck and see what happens.

I will still probably be the first to exit. But at least I have (irl, right now, somewhere in the apartment) no fewer than four competitive decks assembled and countless others that exist in this computer as .txt files.
Just remember: Legacy =/= Vintage, so none of that Ancestral Recall "lol gg" Turn 2 victory for Blue crap.
