Considering I beat all of Conquest (besides DLC episodes) in five days (got it Tuesday, beat my last episode last night [Saturday]), I think my doing this is justifiable.

Going to attempt this though I'll have to pick up a ROM for original Gold as the battery on my is now defunct. Considering doing Grass, Steel, Electric or Poison. Electric is top runner as getting a Jolteon in original Gen 1 and pouring all attention into it basically guarantees you a Hall of Fame.

Finished Black on the planeride back. Team was Cinccino, Sawsbuck, Stoutland, Unfezant, Bouffalant, Audino.

Cinccino was a surprising powerhourse with Technician and Rock Blast/Tail Slap. Saved my ass quite a bit right when she evolved.

Sawsbuck was a welcome addition, considering his typing. Also Leech Seed + Horn Leech + Big Root = Unstoppable.

Stoutland was a great early-gamer that managed to flail his way through the late game. Nice, faithful 'mon though.

Unfezant was surprisingly strong. I'm usually not much for the Generibirds, but this one was a nice change of pace.

Afrobull was a late-game replacement of Watchog. Watchog was okay for the first few Gyms but got really crappy after a while and got dragged along until I got to the last Gym. Afrobull was a good replacement, though it took a while to get him up to speed. Solid attack, slow as shit.

Audino was another deadweight for the longest time. Then I got Attract and Toxic. And she stalled like crazy.

I was gonna do DPPt next but I realized that I've actually already done it on Pearl. So I think I'll give Emerald a shot next.

So, starting up an Electric run. Gen order is probably gonna be 4 -> 3 -> 5 -> 1 -> 2

Actually gotta scratch that. Planning shows it to be rather impossible without hacking/trading/other shit. May just do something like Bug or Flying instead.

Yeah; Electric is kinda bad on BW and RSE, barely passable on RBY and Plat and okay on GSC.

Decided to scrap the Flying idea, started FireRed with Fire. Coz favourite type.

Already past the first gym. Aiming for an Arcanine + Moltres (+ Charizard).

If he hasn't already finished his run then as an audience member I'm going to overrule that call for Kuno's True Blue Ice-type run. Working so hard with a Jynx for half the game and then a shitty True Gen 1 Cloyster and Dewgong after that (and eventually a Lapras as well), Kuno deserves to get the Articuno at the Seafoam Islands. Though I guess there's something to be said for the tale he can tell if he manages to 1-Pokémon the entire league with just his Jynx. ^^;

Yeah Flareon I had forgotten about (I realized when I entered Celadon yesterday) and Rapidash, I'm not sure... might just add it if needed, coz Solarbeam.

So I have Lv.43 Charizard, Lv.32 Growlithe (will evolve at Lv.49 after Flamethrower) and Lv.28 Flareon before entering Celadon Rocket base and after 4 badges. Yet to do Saffron, Lavender, etc.

I would think that generally would only be because most just don't do legends in-game anyway. But with a monotype, that seems just not right. Many types are crippled horribly in a monotype, and with varying patterns in legendaries' types across the ages, it doesn't really present too much of an advantage to any one type (although Psychic and Flying seem to take much benefit from it). I for one accept our Groudon overlords will not follow that rule.

Because computer issues, not really any progress, but I'll work on it. By the way, what exactly is the goal to reach for each game to be declared cleared? Is it:
RBY: Beating E4, catching/defeating Mewtwo, something else?
GSC: Beating Red?
RS: Beating E4, or obtaining/beating Rayquaza?
E: Beating E4, all Gym rematches cleared, a certain Frontier benchmark (including Sudowoodo encounter?)?
FRLG: Beating E4, Celio's gems, E4 rematch?
And so on

I just thought it would be beating Red in Gen II and beating E4 in all others

Finished Fire Mono on FireRed. Twas fun. It was pretty easy most of the game with Charizard raping everything but I found Bruno and Lance to be pretty challenging. Especially Lance's mother fucking Ancient Powerin' son-of-a-bitchin' Aerodactyl, but even that was easy once his Ancient Power ran out of PP.

Winning Team:

Lv.58 Natsu
Flamethrower
Fly
Blast Burn
Earthquake

Lv.56 Ryuk
Double-Edge
Quick Attack
Bite
Flamethrower

Lv.57 Hibashira
Flame Wheel
Extremespeed
Dig
Odor Sleuth

Lv.55 Brony
Sunny Day
SolarBeam
Fire Blast
Stomp

Lv.58 Marco
Toxic
Substitute
Protect
Flamethrower

Charizard's moveset was just for fun. Flareon was my main physical attacker. Arcanine's moveset was also for fun. Rapidash was the SolarBeamin' Sunny Dayin' Fire Blastin' son-of-a-bitchin' beast. I gave Moltres a Toxic Sub Stalling set just to try it in-game, and it freakin' stalled everything to death if its beastly Flamethrower didn't already kill it.

I'll do Ruby next cos Blaziken. Fire.

If you do a True Gen 1 and True Gen 2 run, man oh man is that going to go from epically hard to retardedly easy as you move along the generations.

I'd say that this would be the case, except for in Emerald and Black/White. There, I'd go for beating Steven in Emerald, and beating Alder in Black/White. Because if you're beating Red, why not beat Steven, and you don't get to truly be champion in Black and White until you actually beat Alder, IMO.

(Though if you're playing Ruby or Sapphire, the Steven thing isn't post game, as he's the actual champ.)

If you don't get a Paras then you're a bad person.

Then again there's only like six Bugs in RB (Beedrill, Butterfree, Parasect, Venomoth, Pinsir, Scyther), so.

Butterfree will probably wind up being your main bro. Sleep Powder and early access to Psychic moves are very nice.

Pinsir cannot be caught in Red, so just 5 bugs.

Scyther would have been key late in the game had it had access to move types other than Normal type. Venomoth would probably be better late game coz Butterfree's stats kinda suck.

Ficksed.

Also, I am surprised at no Slash. Well, given Parasect's shit critical hit rate, he would love it.

Also, beat the second gym with a combination of Sleep Powder and Confusion. Sleep is so broken this gen. Also, Twineedle Beedrill. <#
