The Galarian Invaders! Galar Release Event
It had been almost half a year since the trainers of Fizzytopia had graced the shores of the Springtide Isle. The Snorlax King and his followers were settling in well, there was plenty of food on the Isle, meaning they had forgone their scavenging ways. The Springtime Pyukumuku was nowhere to be seen, likely off recovering after Easter's ordeal.
Everything is calm and peaceful on the Isle, until one night, a strange ship washes up on the shore. A rather jolly Delibird stands upon the bow of the vessel, while its strange furry crew peered over the sides of the ship. The crew of Galarian Meowth began to disembark, carefully cradling a fresh shipment of Galarian Eggs in their paws! Following the Delibirds directions, the Meowth quietly go about their work, placing the eggs around the island, making sure to conceal them from prying eyes. By the time the sun begins to rise, the cargo is completely unloaded and the crew prepares to set sail once more. The ship slips silently back out to sea, likely heading back to where it came from. The Snorlax King is stirred from his sleep. It seems it didn't take long for the Isle's residents to notice something was up. Not only had their visitors smuggled a clutch of strange eggs onto their island, they'd decorated the island as well! The Snorlax King knew exactly how to handle this situation, remembering that the trainers of Fizzytopia were always eager to get their hands on some eggs. He sends out some of his followers with invitations, it was time for another egg hunt! Trainers, our search will take place in the temporary area known as Springtide Isle, whose areas are described below. If the egg you find does not suit you, you may search again, in the same area or by travelling into a different one, but you will have to place your previous egg back in its hiding spot. Remember - you will be able to search a maximum of three times, and you will only be able to take one egg home with you. The eggs have already been carefully tended and nurtured by the Delibird of Fizzymas, so hatching will occur as soon as a confirmation is made. Make sure you quote the area you are searching in and colour your response accordingly. Make your choices carefully, and be sure to have fun! If your unsure how to structure your posts, have a look at the last Springtide Event. This event will be open to new adventures until 11:59pm, Tuesday the 24th of Decemeber (FB Time). After this point, no new submissions will be accepted and only adventures that are already in progress will be updated. SPRINGTIDE ISLE Beachfront – Whether buried in the sand, plunged into the ocean or hidden under a stray beach umbrella, those sneaky Meowth have hidden the eggs of Pokemon who feel at home in this idyllic environment of salt-sea breezes and warm sunshine. Please reply in mediumaquamarine. The Rocky Coast – Farther down the coast, the rocky terrain forms magnificent structures and caverns for hiding all manner of things. The eggs hidden here can be mistaken for small boulders, hidden amongst the rough terrain. Please reply in lightslategray. Harborside Market – A bustling gathering of shops and merchant stands of all kinds. Food vendors, souvenir shops... The shopkeepers will happily let you go through their merchandise to search for eggs, but no stealing items, lest you incur the wrath of the Snorlax King... and the police. Please reply in pink. Springtide Nature Trails – This winding path through nature takes travellers away from the beach and on a lovely walk along the cliffside, with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The environment here is greener, though egg hunters would be wise to keep their eyes open for places off the beaten path... Please reply in lawngreen. Shrine to the Abandoned Beach House – Why would anyone abandon such a lovely home, with such a perfect view of the waterfront? Given the unsettling aura surrounding this eerily quiet abode, perhaps the answer to that question is better left unknown... Even so, the door has been left wide open. Please reply in mediumpurple. Volcano Path – A rough and winding path up the slope of a volcano. Dried weeds of grass, boulders of igneous rock and belches of volcanic smog block your view. You'd have to keep your eyes peeled if you plan to find an egg here. Please reply in orangered. Ice Caverns – The c-c-c-colde-est p-p-pplace here. We know why the Meowth hid the eggs here, just to be painful! Be careful around those corners. Patches of ice may surprise you and the last thing you'd want to is to fall and crack an egg. Please reply in paleturquoise. Berry Tree Canopy – High up in the forest, the trees branches and vines entangle to shape a high-rise structure. If one somehow managed to climb up here they'd be faced with tree hollows and berries galore, each with its distinct fragrance. Please reply in deeppink. Flowerbed Gardens – Deep in the forest lies a remote sanctuary in the form of a grove. Flowers in a vast array of colours block your sight of the soft earth. Be careful where you step as eggs may be hidden in between these flower beds. Please reply in orchid. Seaside Waterfalls – Further down the coast lie the cascading, freshwater rapids. The plunge of the whitewater eroded the cliffside over time, allowing for shallow pools of water to be hollowed out along the coastline. A bit further upstream one would find the overgrown thicket that flourishes alongside the nutrient-rich banks of the river. Please reply in deepskyblue. |

Galarian eggs. New Pokemon eggs from the Galar region, brought by Leaf Delibird and his band of Viking Meowth. The woman wondered what the heck a Viking Meowth even was, but she had been told that they were a Galarian regional variant. 'Maybe they just look like Vikings? The Vikings are all gone by this point. Not a super fun bunch to be around either, come to think of it.' The woman snapped herself out of it to look around, wondering if she could find any of the foretold eggs. "Scylla, Daphne, I'm going to need your help here. Scylla, use your bioluminescence to illuminate some of the darker spots of the cave, and Daphne, if you could use your Bullet Seed to take out some of the ice structures that might be hiding an egg, that would be amazing. Make sure to bring back whatever you find." Scylla and Daphne both nodded. Scylla seemed really excited about going egg hunting, doing a little good old-fashioned thievery, while Daphne just seemed annoyed by the cold, but quickly began shooting seeds at the ice. Maybe it was cathartic for her?

"Whew!" Dracen wiped his forehead, looking up at the winding road. "Hot out here, isn't it?" Gible chirruped in agreement, his tongue hanging out of his mouth. The pair had set out after hearing about the strange new Pokémon that were appearing on this island. Dracen hoisted his pack, glancing at the surrounding rocky area. "I thought we'd find Eggs here, not sunburn!" He tromped up the path a ways, keeping an eye out for hidden Eggs. "You know, as hot as it is, it's rather pretty here, wouldn't you say? This sunny island, the exotic plants, the new Pokémon... I'm glad we came! We might just find a brand-new friend to take with us on our adventure!" Gible babbled happily. He held out a black rock that was vaguely egg-shaped. "haha! That certainly looks like an Egg, doesn't it? But, I don't think it is one." Gible looked crestfallen for a moment, then tossed the rock aside and hopped to his Trainer's side. "We'll definitely find an Egg soon, though! I know it!"Dracen straightened up and marched onwards up the path.

...the house... ...take me... ...the house... ...at the bay...
Quote:
And so Jess decided to extend her vacation a little longer, setting off once again in answer to the summons. As she arrived on the beach (this time shooting for sand proper instead of snow), the first thing that caught her eye was what appeared to be an old abandoned shack sitting quaint and quiet by the bay. As she approached though, it almost seemed to sound... too quiet. Poking her head inside, she shuddered as a sudden chill swept through her bones and down her spine, despite the warm climate outside. Though the door was amply swung ajar as well, the interior was shrouded in shadows, as if swallowing any semblance of light that trickled in. Thus, she let out her two Liltwick: Patty and Pan, to add a bit of brightness to the dim and dismal atmosphere - as well as their adoptive parents Waffle and Blueberry for supervision. As the room became bathed in soft blue and silver candleglow, Jess's heart sank as she gazed sorrowfully on the remains of what clearly used to be someone's comfortable living quarters, now neglected for ages. Deserted and derelict - desolate - with nothing but decayed vestiges of a life left behind. Reminders of what once was. The image tickled something in the back of her mind, of a feeling both far-off and recent, waning and wistful. Woeful. "...Nostalgia... ...unchanged... ...boo hoo..." Yet, there was a sense of solace to the melancholy as well. Familiar and forlorn, like an old friend she had forgotten but met again after so many years. Indeed, she had more than one such experience lately, as traveling for the first time in so long (to places both memorable and new) had reawakened a deeply buried longing for adventure. Rekindling the dwindling flame in her heart to ignite back into passion. It was small and likely fleeting, but here was her chance to at least make good on it, if only for a time. As she stared solemnly at her surroundings, Blue had begun drifting through the darkness - tutting at the amount of dust accumulated over broken furniture - whilst Waffle tried to provide what extra heat he could to make the gloomy environment more inviting. Their children explored cautiously as well (Patty moreso than her brother), peering into every nook and cranny with intense curiosity. What they were looking for, Jess wasn't quite sure; but with any luck, hopefully they would find a friend rather than foe... OoC - For the record, Pan is now colored black thanks to the 2017 Halloween event. Just haven't gotten around to updating his sprite yet. ^^;

sixdragons_in_atrenchcoat- Sweat dripping from your brow, you quickly begin your search around the Volcano Path. You shake your head at your Gible as he picks up a oval shaped chunk of igneous rock. Unfortunately it wasn't an egg, but surely it wouldn't be long before you found one? Looking around, you realise you haven't really come across anyone else yet. It surely wouldn't be long before the Springtide Isle was flooded with wide eyed, egg seeking trainers but for now, you had the path to yourself. Whether it was an advantage or not was to be debated, while you knew there were surely eggs around here, you had no way of knowing exactly what you would find....
As you search through a patch of dried out grass, Gible digs through a pile of igneous rocks. The young dragon picks out any rock that looks remotely egg like. He gives each a quick glance before sending them tumbling down the side of the volcano. Too big, too small, too square, too shiny..... You finish your search through the dried grass and come up with nothing. All that work for no reward! Wiping the sweat from your forehead, you turn around to see how Gible is going. You do so just in time, as the Dragon type is holding what is definitely a Pokemon Egg over his head, ready to send it plummeting to its demise. The egg is Charcoal is colour, its surface is rough and rocky, no wonder Gible had confused it for one of the other rocks! You'd better stop him quickly, even if you didn't want to keep the egg for yourself, someone else might come along and chose to take it! Last edited by TheKnightsFury; 12-01-2019 at 04:46 AM. |

"Hoo~" He was jerked from his thoughts by his Dartrix, the young owl seemed fixated on a tree. It was fragrant, and filled to the brim with some of the juiciest looking berries Isaac had seen in a while. However, the Dartrix seemed to have something else on his mind beyond the berries. He tilted his head, glancing upwards at the large tree. "What's up, Luca?" Isaac asked, walking next to the young bird. Isaac followed his line of site, noticing that Milo had run on ahead. The headstrong Grovyle clung to the hollow trunk of one of the trees, quickly climbing upwards and vanishing into the thick canopy. Isaac was confused at first, but suddenly came to realize something. They may not see any eggs now... but what if that's because they're up in the trees? Isaac walked towards the large trunk, staring upwards. He wasn't quite the most athletic of men... so he wondered how well he could truly climb this tree. "Hoo." Luca called, a stubborn croak that caused Isaac to spin around. Isaac chuckled to himself, rubbing the back of his head as a flush crept onto his cheeks. "Oh, right... I guess you can fly." Isaac chuckled, straddling Luca's back as they flew to the canopy tops --- hunting through the thick overgrowth for some sign of an egg.

"Ah, the feeling of discovery! Great for both scientists and trainers alike!" Danny said. Many discoveries of new Pokemon had been made, and it was here where these new Pokemon had left their eggs. Danny wasn't planning to leave till he found one for himself. Trainers from all over Fizzytopia were coming to get eggs. "Alright, Hoothoot, keep an eye out, k?" Danny said to the Hoothoot clamped to his left arm. He held his binoculars to his right. The Hoothoot species was known for impeccable eyesight, and the Danny Ecclestone species was not, as Danny wore glasses to amend his severe myopia. ESP levitated upwards, getting a better view. Pinky just sat on Danny's shoulder. He wasn't really helping. Skull wasn't either. But with two Pokemon both with high advantage (Hoothoot having superior eyesight, and ESP having a high ground) it wouldn't take long for them to chance upon a nice, sweet Egg. If Danny was lucky, he could find one. But if he wasn't lucky, well, let's not speak of that.

..except not so much this time around. Willa Carnet walked into the living room of the Poisonous Paradise, holding a mug of hot soup as she approached the couch. There, lying on said couch, sick as an Arctozolt, was Keith Masters. True to my narration, he'd be steering his ship to Springtide right now were it not for this nasty cold he'd caught. And even then, he might not have let that stop him were it not for Willa. Keith was both annoyed and grateful that Willa was forbidding him from leaving the house- part of him very desperately wanted one of those Galarian Eggs. But the other part of him, the part more deeply rooted in common fucking sense, knew his girlfriend was absolutely right. Deep down he felt as though he wouldn't last five minutes at the helm in his condition, and deeply appreciated Willa realizing this. "Drink this," Willa said gently, handing the mug to Keith. "Father would always make this for me when I was sick. You'll feel much better." "Thanks, Willa," Keith croaked. He then gave two sudden sneezes in quick succession before accepting the mug. He smiled gratefully up at Willa. "Hey, thanks," he added. "Taking care of me, stopping my fool ass from stumbling onto my boat and setting sail... What would I do without you?" Willa gave a small smile in response to this. "Think you answered that yourself," she chuckled. "You probably would've passed out a few minutes into the voyage. Peeves probably would've carried you back here with Myrtle calling you out on it the instant you woke up." Keith gave a freaky hybrid between a cough and a laugh. "Yeah, she would," he agreed. "Alright, now you take it easy," Willa added. "Drink your soup, get some rest." She took the remote control for the TV off of the coffee table and handed it to Keith. "Find something good on TV, OK?" Keith nodded, accepting the remote with his free hand. As Willa stepped outside the living room, Meowth could be seen there. "How's he doin'?" asked the Scratch Cat Pokémon. "He'll be fine with some rest," Willa stated. "I made him some soup." "Dat's good," Meowth nodded. "Ya know, I tink I speaks fer da whole team when I says tank youse fer takin' care of our Trainer like dat," he added. "It's really no trouble, Meowth," Willa responded modestly. "Though I absolutely understand why he wanted to go to Springtide Isle... I've heard that there are some very fascinating Pokémon in Galar. I do wish he could go." "Hmm..." Meowth considered. "Ya know what? Why don't youse go?" Willa raised an eyebrow. "Because my boyfriend in the other room has the worst cold I've ever seen?" she responded. "Ehhh, ya said it yerself, he just needs rest," Meowth responded. "Ya did da hard part- why don't ya go off ta Springtide yerself, get one o' dem fancy Galarian Pokémon, bring it back here as a surprise? Me and da rest o' da team's got dis," he assured her. "Ya tink dis is the only cold Keith Masters has eva gotten?" Willa considered this in silence for a moment, before giving a small nod. "...you make a good point, Meowth," she conceded. "I'll tell Keith I'm going out to run some errands. It's... not exactly a lie, is it?" "Just vague enough ta work," purred Meowth. And work it did! Keith suspected nothing as Willa told him she had to run some errands, and was fine with Meowth, Peeves, Myrtle, and the others looking after him in her absence, though by this point he'd tried the soup, and made a point of informing Willa that it was delicious. It was with a small, proud smile on her face, therefore, that Willa exited the Poisonous Paradise. Some time later, a Lapras approached the shores of Springtide Isle, with Willa riding on her back. She stepped down onto dry land as soon as she possibly could. "Thank you, Lapras," she smiled. Lapras squealed happily in response before Willa withdrew her to her Ultra Ball. After this, Lapras took out another Ultra Ball, sending out her beautiful Polar Pattern Vivillon. She took a moment to gaze at Vivillon's wings, recalling the lengths Keith had gone to to get her Vivillon as a Scatterbug, and knew it was time to try and return the favor. "Vivillon, we're on an Egg hunt," she said. "Let's find something for Keith, alright?" "Viiiiivillon!" trilled Vivillon in response. Though Willa was tempted to start her search on the beach, a nearby house caught her attention. Lovely in appearance, but almost certainly abandoned, despite such an ideal waterfront location. Sheer curiosity was driving Willa at this point as she headed towards the place, wondering what she and Vivillon would find inside. |

CrazyCreeperKid- While many trainers from Fizzytopia had been to the Springtide Isle, this was your first venture to the popular island. You bring with you a team of eager Pokemon, all ready to help you search for one of the eggs hidden by the invaders. Some are a little less interested that the others however. As you transverse along the Rocky Coast, Pinky the Slowpoke remains slumped over your shoulder, while Skull the Vullaby was likewise disinterested, waddling a long without a care in the world. Thankfully your other two Pokemon were more than picking up the slack, with ESP the Alakazam levitating around and searching every possible hiding place, while Clockwork the Hoothoot flutters from perch to perch before scanning the surroundings with its excellent eyesight.
The first few caves you check prove fruitless however, leaving you unsure why you are yet to find an egg. Were they that well hidden that you'd simply missed them? Or perhaps it was that they were so few in number that they were just spread out? Either way, you felt like you were sure to find one sooner or later.... Sooner it seems, as in the next cave Clockwork spots something almost immediately. All your Pokemon perk up, even Pinky and Skull who were previously disinterested. Deep in the cave, an egg sits nestled in a roughly made nest of sticks. The eggs shell is a combination of dark brown and white, a clue towards its origin but one that was open to interpretation. Clockwork perches atop the egg and looks at you with curiosity. Would you be taking this egg or leaving it for someone else? Missingno. Master- Having left the ailing Keith at home, you arrive on the shores of the Springtide Isle in his place. Keith had great luck in this place, perhaps you would experience the same? There was only one way to find out. You withdraw your Lapras into her Ultraball, thanking her for her service. Once her ball is nestled away, you release another Pokemon, a Polar Pattern Vivillion. The Bug type chirped with pleasure, happy to be called upon to help in the search. You start to walk along the beach, intent on searching there, but when you spot a dilapidated old beach house, you can't hold back your curiosity. The door swings open with a loud creak and the floorboards bend and moan under every step. This place certainly hadn't been occupied for quite some time. Vivillion calls for your attention as she spots something interesting. It wasn't an egg, but it was a sure sign that eggs were hidden here. Thick dust that covered most of this place and Vivillion had managed to find a trail of footprints left in the dust. The footprint looks oddly familiar, as if you'd seen it or something very similar before, but where? Letting your curiosity steer, you follow the faint trail of footprints. The lead you all around the house, before coming to an end in the laundry. The pair of you start searching for an egg and it isn't long before you find one, concealed in a pile of old clothes. As you lift up the old shirt sporting the logo of some foreign band, you get a good look at the egg. Jagged black and white stripes alternate across the egg's surface, very monochromatic. Would you take this egg or throw the clothes back over it, leaving it for another trainer to find? |

"Viviiii! Vivilloooon!" trilled Vivillon, cutting short Willa's thoughts. As Willa turned to her companion, the Bug/Flying-type indicated the footprints she was hovering over. Willa studied them intently for a moment. "Hm... these look familiar somehow," she murmured. Curiously, her mind went back to an incident where Meowth had accidentally tracked mud through the entrance hall back home. But either way, these footprints were all they had to go by right now, and so go by them they did. This proved to be a good idea- it led to a pile of old clothes, which in and of itself was nothing... but what it concealed was certainly something. "An Egg!" Willa whispered. "Hmm..." "Viviii..." frowned Vivillon. She turned to Willa and shook her head. "Vivi. Vivillon," she said flatly. "You don't think so?" Willa murmured. "Well, alright, then. Let's keep looking. I'm certain this can't be all this house has to show us..." |

When Alex had told them he'd be passing up on another invite to the Springtide Isle, on account of "probably running into another reincarnated friend he once knew," it was through a random throw of the dice that Caritas was picked in his stead to venture back to her rebirthplace, and while under regular circumstances this would be fine and dandy, and nostalgic, she wasn't exactly alone. On one hand, Asclepius wasn't going to be too much trouble, the Ralts nestled upon her head surprisingly relaxed for once. No, it was the other little shits thrust upon her that would truly test her patience. Kris had came to them through the actions of being sneaky, and this had earned the respect of Totsuka. Anything associated with that madam of mischief was immediately placed on her watchlist, and as for Morgul, the Sableye definitely was a scheming sort, eyes impossible to read yet impish grin giving away everything about intent. Currently the ghost pokemon was making some chuckles towards the fact the shrine they had visited was rather messy, the sun and the moon effectively covered by swords and shields, and the Buneary was busy sifting through some of the tacky decor trying to find something that looked interesting. Well, at least there was one sort of behaving. Caritas sighed, she had hoped that she could get a couple of minutes to thank the gods above for this second chance at life, but at the same time almost considered why they brought her back from beyond the grave to deal with these meddling kids. The Ralts gave a small yawn before perking up slightly, seemingly focused on something. How very unusual behaviour... the alolan pokemon thought to herself, before resuming her vigilance of the two miscreants, making sure they didn't defile this sacred site any more than whatever did this to it already has. |

"What is it Clockwork?" Danny said, turning towards the intense hooting coming from Clockwork. He slowly followed the Normal/Flying type's gaze. "An EGG?!!!! AN EGG! HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!" Danny said as he ran at an unnatural speed towards the cave, he was moving so fast that when he got there, he needed to use his inhaler. "A nest?" Danny asked. The egg was dark brown and white. Danny could almost feel the bird inside, and he quickly noticed the nest was partially made of small bits of leeks. "Ummm....., nah, I'll pass." Danny said. "Already got two birds, and they're both a handful." Danny said, as he tossed a berry in the air for Clockwork, and Skull went to sleep. Quote:
"Ah, a waterfall." Danny said. Waterfalls are always beautiful. Pinky swam from pool to pool, clearly enjoying himself. He spun his tail like a propeller. "Keep an eye out for eggs!" Danny chuckled to the Slowpoke. He thought of diving in himself, but then told himself no. "I can't get wet, again." Danny said, remembering the incident. Danny kept an eye out, he was searching the skyline for eggs. The multiple pools all seemed to have eggs in them, hidden albeit.

The newly-discovered Dreepy was classified as a Dragon/Ghost type-a typing that had before only existed in speculation and legend as the typing of Giratina. The thought of raising such a Pokémon set Mint's inner scholar aflutter-the relation to such an important figure in Sinnovan myth as well as the as-yet-unseen-by-humans typing was almost too much excitement to bear. As such, as Mint docked her boat before the Abandoned Beach House (noting the entry of a couple other Trainers she did not recognize-she should ask after them later, make some more friends), she called to Apollo, her Jangmo-o, to come with her. Sure, his sense of smell was no more attuned to Dragon eggs than any other kind, but Mint thought of it as a sort of good-luck charm nonetheless. The pair ventured eagerly into the house-if not a Dreepy, then perhaps something even more interesting awaited them?

Her wandering path took her to the blossoming canopies of the Berry orchards. Her Larvesta seemed subdued for a change: perhaps the colours were too much? At any rate, it crawled back to her and went back into its Pokeball, leaving her alone to climb into the canopies. She knew not what lurked above, but all she knew was that there was something up there for her, even if it was a headache and some bruises from a fall. She was hopeful this venture would prove better than the lacklustre showings from previous visits, though her hopes weren't high.

Emi - The cold sent shivers down the spines of your tiny trio, yet you trudged onwards. Galarian eggs were quite a prize, and you just had to get your hands on one. Although, you found your mind curious as to what sort of Pokemon eggs could actually survive in such a harsh environment. You rubbed yourself for warmth, looking around as your Pokemon got to work on attempting to uncover some sort of egg among the frost and ice. Daphne's Bullet Seeds tore down pillars of ice, causing them to crumble and shatter before your very eyes, yet, you still saw no signs of life beyond your own. |

Missingno. Master- You'd managed to find your first egg, however it seemed that Vivillion certainly isn't impressed by it. Could she sense what was inside? How did she know that it wouldn't suit you? Regardless, you trusted her gut and decided to continue your search.
Covering the egg back up so it'll stay warm, you continue your creaky journey through the house. You find more footprints, but they're heading in all directions, some crossing over others, making it almost impossible to find a single path. With not much to go off, you make your way through each room, searching every possible hiding place before moving onto the next. Despite a thorough search, you are finding it hard to locate another egg. You're about to head to the next room when you hear a creak behind you. Vivillion spins around to face the source of the sound. The creak seemed to have come from a small door built into the staircase. Full of curiosity, you open the door and immediately lay eyes upon an egg. This egg is much more colourful than the last, being hot pink and colour with a deep purple band wrapping around the middle. Vivillion moves in to inspect the find, would this one be more to her liking? CrazyCreeperKid- You celebrate the find, but it isn't too long before you decide to leave the egg where it is. If your feelings about the egg were right, you already had the role it would play filled. You toss Clockwork a berry, helping ease the heartbreak slightly, it was time for a change in location...... Leaving the Rocky Coast behind, you head for the rushing waters of the Seaside Waterfalls. The freshwater cascades down the worn rock, creating a mist around the base of the falls. The river moves swiftly, it likely wouldn't be wise to enter the water, else you might be swept away. Thankfully there were plenty of places to search here. Your team splits up, ESP floats over to the other side of the river and begins to search through the bushes and brambles. Pinky begins to lazily search through some of the shallow pulls of water, while Clockwork takes to the air and does a sweeping search of the river bank and base of the falls. Skull on the other hand, she seems intent on doing nothing.... You join in the search, but it isn't long before you notice that Clockwork isn't flying around anymore. Where did that Hoothoot go? You soon spot the owl over near the base of the falls, sitting on yet another egg which is also nestled in a nest. This nest is constructed with reeds and the egg is distinctly different to the last one you found. This one is royal blue in colour, with flecks of light blue. Maybe this one was a better fit on your team? Ironthunder- Hoping to find a bit more luck and enjoyment out of your third visit to the Springtide Isle, you make your way towards the Berry Canopy. On the way there you notice more and more trainers are starting to arrive, a few had probably already found eggs! The journey through the forest is a long one, but eventually you reach the location of your search, or at least the base of it. It was time to climb. Larvesta retreated into its Pokeball, what a lazy little sod. Looks like you're climbing alone..... You have no real issue making your way upwards. The vines and tree trunks twist and intertwine, giving you ample hand and footholds. As you climb higher and higher, you begin to smell the heavenly scent of berry cornucopia that awaits you. You pass a number of tree hollows on your climb and you check each of them, hoping you'll get lucky and find an egg. No such luck. Pushing through another layer of branches, you poke through into a small pocket within the canopy. Thick vines create a makeshift floor, while the branches above limit the amount of light. A break in the leaves above highlight a pile of Cheri Berries, stacked neatly on a nearby branch. Suspicious of such organised arrangement, you decide to take a closer look. After removing a handful of the berries, it quickly becomes obviously that they are concealing something. You clear the rest of the pile, revealing the egg hidden within. The egg almost appears to be split in half, one side being brown while the other is black, while a yellow strip runs vertically between them. You'd put a lot of effort into getting here, would you stick with your first find or continue the search? sixdragons_in_atrenchcoat- You manage to save the egg from an untimely fate, Gible looks slightly embarrassed, but anyone could have made that mistake. You place the egg back in the pile of rocks, this one wasn't for you. Maybe someone else would come along and see its potential, but your egg was waiting for you elsewhere. You continue to follow the path, trekking towards the heart of the volcano. It gets hotter and hotter as you get closer to the volcanic source. An issue lied ahead though as a cloud of volcanic smog barred your progress. Gible has a quick look around and manages to find a way around however, a small tunnel, just big enough for you to get through. Stooped over slightly, you slowly make your way through the tunnel while Gible barrels ahead, his height not being an issue. You soon lose sight of him, but it isn't long before you hear him. The Gible lets out a pained groan, is he okay? You move as fast as you can to catch up with him and you soon do, right near the tunnel's exit. The Dragon is rubbing his head, seems he charged right into something. At first you think it's just another rock, but if that was the case than it is certainly oddly coloured. No, this was definitely an egg! The bright orange egg sports a green stripe around its length, a quick nudge reveals it is also rather heavy. Maybe this egg held a bit more appeal? |

"What do you think guys, should we keep it?" Xander asked his Pokemon, they should have a say in this as well. Frogadier was the first to put his hand atop the egg, he wanted the egg he'd found. He looked to his partners, both were unsure. But they were a team and didn't want to let Frogadier down, so they each put a hand atop the Frogadier's. "I guess I'll take that as a yes then, I wonder how long it'll take to hatch?" |

It was, therefore, with no hesitation that Willa turned to Vivillon to get her opinion when they found the hot pink Egg with the purple band, hidden in the secret compartment within the staircase. Vivillon flew in to inspect it, but didn't remain there for long. "Viv! Vi, vi, villon, vivivi, villon, Vivillon!" she exclaimed, backing away from the Egg. Willa gave a sigh. "Not this one, too?" she asked. "Vivillon, viviiiii, Vivillon!" insisted Vivillon. Willa was mildly amazed at this point, for Vivillon was now actually trying to push her Trainer away from the Egg. "Alright, point taken," Willa conceded. "Should we continue to search the house?" "Vivillon!" Vivillon shook her head vehemently, before taking flight. Willa followed as Vivillon exited the house completely, heading back down to... Quote:
Undeterred by Vivillon's seemingly impossibly high standards, Willa set out to search the beachfront. They were right there anyway, why not see if another Egg was here for the taking? Hopefully one Vivillon wouldn't object to. |

Apollo let out a powerful sneeze as the pair entered what seemed to be the master bedroom, kicking up a cloud of dust that had Mint covering her mouth lest she get a lungful of it. Suddenly, his hackles rose, and Mint followed his gaze to the bed. On it, tucked neatly between two dusty pillows, was a grayish-green Egg, flecks of red giving the sole sign of life to the otherwise dead-seeming shell. Mint quickly referenced the images of Dreepy that had been provided with the official announcement of the species...and her eyes lit up. She would (figuratively) eat her shorts if this Egg wasn't exactly what she was after. Perhaps the meeting was predestined, as Mint had hardly brought her hand to the Egg's surface when a fit of violent shaking beheld a large crack in the Egg's surface... (OOC: claiming this one!)

"Let's get to searchin', kay guys?" Danny said to Hoothoot's dismay. Hoothoot was really the only one working here, and he couldn't catch a break. "I'm sure the next one will be to our liking, but trust me, we are staying here." Danny said, as he pushed his glasses up his nose with two fingers.

“Yeah, you don’t have to remind me. The brochure clearly stated “belches of volcanic smog.” I’m not entirely sure why I selected to visit this area either,” Hugo said, struggling a bit to breathe. It didn’t seem to bother Salandit, to whom he was addressing, as she skittered around near his feet. Drilbur, his other companion, seemed a bit perturbed, but he kept low to the ground and was able to avoid the brunt of the smoke. Hugo figured these two would be good at sniffing out Eggs…but when was the last time they had eaten? The glimmer in Drilbur’s eye and the flicker of Salandit’s reptilian tongue made him think he may need to set some ground rules. “So just in case I wasn’t clear, no eating the eggs, okay? If you find something, just bring it to me. Deal?” They stared at him. No sign that they agreed, buuuuut no sign that they disagreed. “Okay, uh…great!” And so they searched.

Literally nothing. As far as I’m aware, nobody relevant has a clue I even exist! I mean sure, I’m packing a sweet team, but let’s be real for a moment… Upon disembarking on Springtide Isle, Ark had met some very literal legends of Fizzytopia, Trainers who’d been travelling for years and accomplished incredible feats in the past. Sure, some others seemed to be as green as he was, but who knew? Maybe they’d done incredible things in their home regions too. Ark knew he’d never done anything significant in his entire life. So why had he been summoned? He felt something tug at his leg, snapping him out of his pessimistic thoughts. To his surprise it wasn’t his oldest, eternally-upbeat partner Chimchar, but quite unexpectedly the usually distant, bitter Bagon. The drake’s eyes told him what he needed to know, even if he couldn’t understand him. “You’re right, I… sorry. It’s not like me. But I didn’t expect you to care, y’know?” Bagon’s gaze shifted to the side, looking at nowhere in particular, feigning disinterest. Was Bagon’s opinion of him starting to change, or was the dragon just eager to get this over and done with? “I know you want to get back to your flight practice, I do, but… look…” You don’t have wings! was the first thought that came to Ark’s mind, but what good would that do? Bagon knew that already; it wouldn’t stop him from trying, flailing his tiny arms pathetically as he leaped off any nearby cliffs or tall trees he could find. It was the definition of an impossible dream, but somehow – despite the inevitable injuries that came with it – it was somewhat endearing watching Bagon try so very hard. “Maybe… maybe you just need a teacher. Come on, let’s going, sorry for moping around.” The dragon mumbled something under his breath, probably the Pokemon equivalent to “about damn time”, and the two made their way along the Nature Trails. “Strange time of the year for an egg hunt, eh?...”
