Don't add fuel to the fire. If anyone wishes to continue the four-month-old off-topic conversation, they can do so elsewhere.
As for new fanart, I'm limited in what I can search for or share here these days since a generic search for "Pokemon" on Pixiv will spoil me on stuff. Trying for some more targeted searches, I've found some new stuff like ... Source | Imgur Source | Imgur And ... oh God ... this is what happens when you search Pixiv for fanart of Wobbuffet ... Source | Imgur The caption says, "I want a mousepad like this."

Well, I was thinking at first he wanted a single mousepad with a reversible face but that doesn't work due to the left-right asymmetry of the mousepad, so a better translation would be "I want a mousepad like these," plural. If you scroll down, you can see that he's posting in response to a Pixiv artist challenge for user-created mousepads. (673 image responses at the time of this post.)

Source | Imgur 14,174 people favorited this image. I don't know that I have ever seen so many favorites on Pixiv outside of Touhou fanart, and even then the ones which manage to reach 10,000 are few and far between. Just goes to show you how many people on Pixiv strongly agree with what the artist has to say. So what about you? Do you agree that Jessie would look better if she'd let her hair down? (That's what James and Meowth are discussing. It's also the title of the piece: ムサシは髪を下ろした方が可愛い, or "Jessie would look cuter if she let her hair down".) It's never going to happen but now I find myself wishing that there were a filler episode where Meowth and Wobbuffet have to babysit the Rockets' other Pokémon whilst James takes Jessie out on a dinner date at a nice French restaurant. Sort of like one of those human-lite Pikachu shorts that we get before Pokémon films only this time it's focused around the Rockets instead of around Ash & Co.

Haven't been able to follow her in a while because of Gen 6 spoilers but it's come to my attention that Miss Namie is releasing her first artbook soon and it's appropriately a Unova-themed one.

According to this ...
... it looks like you have until January 26th to figure out the answer. So there's no major rush, since I assume that Namie will make sure that everyone who pre-orders is guaranteed a copy of the book while anyone who attempts to order afterwards might very well be subject to the old "while supplies last!" clause. After all, it's not cheap or easy for an upstart to print her own books. I imagine the profit margin (if any) will be very low. Given that it is fanart of licensed characters, she may not even be allowed to turn a profit. I dunno. QUESTIONS THE ANSWERS TO WHICH I DO NOT HAVE. Also, she lives in Australia, so there laws may be different from America's or Canada's. *shrug* More samples:

Is she a Japanese immigrant? There's no way that's gaijin art!

In a turn of events, I'm told that Namie's now reporting that she has sold out on pre-orders. ^^;
Kin: ;_; Well, not exactly. She's sold out on pre-orders that came with pre-order goodies. (Apparently she only prepped enough copies for the first lucky 300? ^^; ) I'm also told that she's decided to try and re-open pre-orders up through December 8. (Though given she wasn't quite able to make that original two-month window stick, I dunno ...! Better act fast!) You won't be getting any pre-order goods -- just the book itself -- but that should be all you really care about anyway. For those who aren't in a rush, don't want to pre-order, etc, I'm told that she intends to sell the book regular-style starting in March 2014. Pre-ordering is for people who want to receive their copy one to two months early.

I thought I'd put this here because I wasn't sure where else to put it. I commissioned artist Seiryuuden on dA to draw my girlfriend's Pokemon Y team and my Pokemon X team sort of facing off against each other for her Christmas present.
Source: http://seiryuuden.deviantart.com/art...unca-418499442 I am incredibly happy with how the two pieces turned out. I'm going to have them printed and framed! Image in spoiler box, because it does contain Pokemon XY Pokemon some UPNers may have not seen yet! Spoiler: show |

Nice stuff Deo, how much did those set you back, out of interest?
I just commissioned an artist on dA to do some Pokémon art myself, though it won't be up for a couple of months. Was planning on posting it here when it's up though. |

Yeah that's a pretty good deal. Kind of tempted to ask for a commish of my 15-strong Y squad now.

For the record, a team of six + trainer is $60 from her, so I'm not sure how much she'd charge for 15! But she was a pleasure to work with and super friendly and helpful in making the pieces work!

Pixiv user Noritamako has this picture to share with us.
(Click the picture for full size on Imgur.) It reminds me of our own DaisyInari's Rocky Helmet Persian fanart. I wish there was more fanart of Pokémon with colorful hold items like the Rocky Helmet, Assault Vest, or Safety Goggles.

I really hope to see some Assault Vest fanart. There's a lot of fun Assault Vest users that would be really funny to see actually wearing the vest. Goodra comes to mind.

Latest offering from Arvalis.
God I love his work. Can't wait for him to get around to doing my commission. |
