The Training Centre
Welcome to the Fizzy Bubbles Training Centre, the central learning centre for all of those Hidden and Technical Machines your Pokémon wish to learn! Learning a Hidden Machine (HM): Up until January 2015 FB has allowed for all Pokémon who can theoretically perform Fly, Surf and Waterfall to know these moves naturally so there was no need for them to stay here to learn them. However, that has since changed. Birds fly and fish swim so of course they are naturally able to perform certain functions on their own, but in order to use moves as attacks and/or as transportation for humans they need to be trained. Horses need to be broken in, you don't just saddle up and expect them to know what to do let alone accept that someone wants to be carried on them. Being trained doesn't automatically mean your Pokémon can transport anybody either. It's up to you to ensure you're using logic and not expecting a Spearow to carry you around everywhere because that's just not possible. However, if you want to ride on your Pidgeot while your Marill rides alongside on Spearow that's acceptable. - Every Monday you may drop off your Pokémon to learn one of the Hidden Machines listed below. - When your Pokémon are ready to learn Cut, Fly, Surf, Strength, Flash, Rock Smash, Rock Climb, Waterfall, Whirlpool, Dive or Defog they will need to stay one week before being picked up with the chosen move. - You may drop off up to two Pokémon per week. - Post here stating which move you would like your Pokémon to learn, then post again after one week to reclaim it with the learned move. Early pickups will result in your Pokémon failing to learn the move it has been put in for, so please be sure to collect at the correct time. - You may drop off your Pokémon to learn more than one move, but they must stay here for one full week per move learned, not one week for two or more moves. - Always edit your stats to include the moves your Pokémon have learned. - Check here to find which HM's your Pokémon are able to learn. - If the Pokémon has been able to learn the move as an HM at any time in the past (Gen I till current), they can learn it here. Simply link to the appropriate Pokédex entry to show the HM listing. Learning a Technical Machine (TM): TMs may be found or won in contests, or even purchased via the Prize Thread or Cable Club. Seeing as there has been some confusion amongst trainers as to where TMs may be taught, we are now extending our services to accommodate for TM learning. - Every Monday you may teach your Pokémon as many Technical Machines you like, but please only post once. - Pokémon can be taught a TM from any generation so long as they were able to learn it at some point in time, simply link to your Pokémon's Pokédex page as proof they are able to learn the move. However, Yanmega cannot learn TM Curse (available in Gen II only), as Yanmega did not exist at that time. For Yanmega to learn TM Curse it must be taught to Yanma who can then evolve having already learned the move. - Post a link to the TM/s you have received and clearly state which of your Pokémon you are teaching the TM/s to. - A confirmation post will be made, after which you may add the move/s to your Pokémon's statistics. - TM learning is NOT considered a weekly dropoff so you may add the TM/s to your Pokémon's statistics as soon as confirmation is issued. This thread is used for confirmation only so you that you have a place to record your Pokémon learning the TM/s rather than posting in random FB threads and then forgetting later on where you have posted. Learning a Custom Move (CM): Custom Moves are created by FB Mods and given out during special events. They are usually taught via use of a special item, and are more often than not rare to come across so please choose wisely when teaching your Pokémon a Custom Move. - Every Monday you may teach your Pokémon as many Custom Moves as you like, but please only post once. - Post a link to the CM/s you have received and clearly state which of your Pokémon you are teaching the CM/s to. - A confirmation post will be made, after which you may add the move/s to your Pokémon's statistics. - CM learning is NOT considered a weekly dropoff so you may add the CM/s to your Pokémon's statistics as soon as confirmation is issued. - Unless otherwise stated, special FB Items that teach moves can now be taught to any Pokemon (within reason), so that for example Black Persian Plushie can teach Shadow Claw to a Pokemon that doesn't normally learn it. Learning Hidden Power: Although Hidden Power is listed as a Normal-type move, it cannot damage as a Normal-type attack (unless used by a Pokémon with the Ability Normalize). In addition, as a Fairy-type Hidden Power is not possible in the games, it does not exist in FB. - Hidden Power therefore has only 16 types of "energy" that can be taught to a Pokémon (1.Bug, 2.Dark, 3.Dragon, 4.Electric, 5.Fighting, 6.Fire, 7.Flying, 8.Ghost, 9.Grass, 10.Ground, 11.Ice, 12.Poison, 13.Psychic, 14.Rock, 15.Steel, and 16.Water), but your Pokémon can only learn ONE type. - So that we're not mistakenly confirming multiple uses of the move you must clearly confirm when dropping off your Pokémon that they have not previously learned another type of Hidden Power. - Should it later be discovered that you've mistakenly taught your Pokémon a second Hidden Power, only the first will be recognised. Smeargle and Sketch: Smeargle can learn Sketch a total of ten times, at levels 1, 11, 21, 31, 41, 51, 61, 71, 81, and 91. Each time Smeargle Sketches a move, the move it has Sketched MUST be registered in the Training Centre. - Smeargle may Sketch a move in any instance where it is in a battle situation (zone battle, trainer battle, contest battle, etc.). - You must link to the post in which Smeargle has successfully Sketched its new move whether it be an update or a reffing. - Custom Moves cannot be taught as additional moves, they are included as among Smeargle's total of ten Sketched moves. - At Lv.100 Smeargle may have one or more of its Sketched moves deleted so that Sketch can be relearned. Simply post here for confirmation and the forgotten move will be de-registered. - Registering the learning of Smeargle's Sketched move does not require the Pokémon to stay in the Training Centre for any period of time. Miscellaneous Notes: - If you're teaching your Pokémon a move via TM or special giveaway item (such as the Lapras Plushie that teaches TM Ice Beam or the Cranberry Vodka teaching CM Firestream), you may still use the item in your pickup posts but please also post here for official confirmation. - Please use logic when confirming moves in the Training Centre. If you're teaching a Technical Machine or Custom Move please post here for confirmation. If you're teaching an Egg or MT Move, or using a Memory Berry, please post for confirmation in the Move Tutor. - If your Pokémon is from a newly released generation of the Pokémon games and can learn a move that was once an HM but is no longer an HM, they cannot learn the HM version, such as Litwick with Flash. As Flash is now a TM, this is how Litwick must learn it as Litwick did not exist at a time during which Flash existed as a HM. |

I think there was an error: Tauros and Feebas were already picked up here with the (re-)confirmation of their already-known aquatic HMs. Last edited by Talon87; 01-05-2015 at 01:58 AM. |
