As much as I'm a Psychic type specialist, I would probably take a type-diversity group. If I would consider everyone's levels' maxed out and at the end of their evolution...

Tough one as I have yet to fully flesh out and train a few party members. At this point, with what I have, most likely:

Rags the Gallade (Mega-Gallade) - Lucas' signature mon and ace in the hole
Kong the Slaking (Slaking) - Brute rampaging strength
Wattson the Magnemite (Magnezone) - Defensive mon with Lock-On+Zap Cannon+Electric Gem+Recycle strategy
Faust the Duskull (Dusknoir) - Freezing Creep to fill in the gaps and pick on smaller Pokémon
Doom the Absol (Absol) - Attempts at Critical Hits for speedier and more precision-oriented battles
Floss the Swirlix (Slurpuff) - Speed restriction/Immobilizer

These are the ones I'd consider the top 6 battlers on the team at this point. Any one of them (except Rags) may end up being replaced by a Crobat, Garchomp, Haxorus or Eelektross. This reminds me that I actually have 3 Pokémon ready to evolve that I need to get to. Four if I can find a Whipped Dream.

Speaking of which, today's FB's birthday, so happy birthday, FB! It is also Cubone Day for some strange reason- considering all the birthdays that are almost certainly not coincidences (bunch of Christmas-themed Pokémon with birthdays in late December, buttload of Ghost-type birthdays in late October, Skitty and Wailmer days one right after the other, Chatot Day being September 19th, Sableye Day coinciding with Arc's birthday, and those are just the ones off the top of my head), I'd have figured that the birthday for FB's mascot would coincide with FB's birthday.

I actually used to have one, but she ended up leaving the team once I realized that the novelty of owning the same Pokémon whose birthday I shared not only didn't last, but was also one of the few (if not only) reasons for my wanting one in the first place. If I'd have been born just a day later, however, I'd share a birthday with Stunfisk.

Confused about something. Are there no options for a foresty location for your Secret Base? I see a beach island, an icy island, an ashy wasteland with a dormant volcano, a desert ... but no "yeah, this is the forest / rain forest / jungle" area. Yes, there are "treetop" base locations, but it doesn't make sense for me to get a leafless "treetop" base in the middle of a volcanic wasteland nor does it make sense for me to get a "treetop" base atop a palm tree on a beach. My character would be most at home in a proper forest, whether temperate (like Sherwood of olde) or tropical. And I'm just not seeing that option. :\

Base confusion part II. Let's say there were a foresty area. What would I need to buy at bare minimum to have a functioning base that could be upgraded (not started-from-scratch. UPDATED) at a later time? It looks like you have to buy:

• the zone rights (2,000 coins to 300,000 coins)
• the plot of land (however many coins that was)
• and then the actual base-building itself (however many coins that was)

But like, can you just buy the zone rights? Can you just buy the zone rights + plot of land? Do you have to have an actual building on your plot of land? And if so, can it be upgraded without being "torn down"? (I.e. can I add 148,000 coins to an existing 2,000-coin structure to turn it into a 150,000-coin structure? Or would I be expected to write off the 2,000 coins as a loss and I'd have to pay the full 150,000 coins to get the 150,000-coin building?)

So ... here's an interesting story for everyone's amusement ^^;; ...

Somehow I traded for an adorable Cherubi two years ago and I forgot about it soon after. @_@

This is really, really surprising. I wanted to say it was also "really, really rare" but it's not even that -- it's unheard of for me to do something like this. Cherubi's been what MM would label a "Tier 1 want" for years and I clearly paid a handsome little sum for mine back in February 2014. But somehow ... this trade never made it into my profile post. Which is weird for a number of reasons:

1. Around this time (Feb 2014), I was updating my profile post on average once weekly and at absolute, absolute worst once monthly. I really, really doubt I would've forgotten I owned a Cherubi by March 2014. Indeed, a quick look at my post's edit history reveals that the two proximal edits were made on February 17 and exactly one month later on March 17. Did I really forget about a Cherubi in less than four weeks? O_o How!?
2. Whenever I get a new teammate who I'm really excited about, one of the first things I do with them is drop them off in the Daycare. Get them some levels! Alternatively, if I've already got two others in there who I'm equally excited about giving levels to, I'll place the newest teammate in one of the other shops. Yet when I look for evidence of shop drop offs of this Cherubi ... NOTHING.
3. Shadowshocker traded me another long time want only a few months later (May 2014) ... and exactly like I'm telling you guys I do, I didn't forget her and I instantly dropped her off in the shops. So why didn't this happen with Cherubi!?!?

But despite all of this weirdness, it's hard to argue with facts. Fact #1 is, there is only one hit in the Cable Club archives for the word "Cherubi" in a post made by user "Talon87", and that's the post where I started the trade with SS. (He finished it in the next post.) Fact #2 is, there are zero posts anywhere in the entirety of UPN that contain the post ID number of Shadowshocker's post. I would've had to have linked to that post when dropping Cherubi off somewhere, so clearly I did not. Fact #3 is, I have never once used the BMG or Serebii Cable Clubs to my knowledge. I pretty much do everything on UPN. Only exception, and it's a relatively recent one, is Jirachi's Casino II on BMG. Other than that, all my shop posts are here at home. That includes the Cable Club. So like, there's no way I traded her away elsewhere. Nor would I have wanted to even if I could!

Man, this is so weird. I can't believe something like this could even happen to me, and yet the evidence is staring me in the face. I'm a mix of mortified, horrified for poor Cherubi , and delighted that Tyoyo helped me find/rescue her.
