That stated, I'm really OCD about having a shitton of "mana", and as such, I have to try to form teams that have as much support as possible. I find the Naruto crew best suited for that. 5-panel Kakashi supports 5, 6, or 7-panel Naruto well. 7-panel Naruto is a lot of fun against NPCs, while 5-panel Naruto is usable against real opponents. (Of whom I've fought zero since buying the game. -.-) Then, Kakashi and Naruto mutually share a lot of promotion from Sasuke and other Naruto characters. Kenshin, on the other hand, is all by his lonesome for fighting, which means that if you want to make a "just Kenshin" deck, you've only got one fighter and maybe 8 or 9 tops for your mana bar. Instead of the 11-14 I have in my Naruto deck. Because I don't recognize the characters from Bobobo(repeat), I haven't used them much. I'm not a big fan of Bobo himself because he's so easy to defeat, so I can't figure he'd be very good. His orange friend who is shaped like a teardrop might be better, since he's speedy as hell and seems to have a few good combos.

Re: Super Smash Bros Brawl
Is that executed by getting a random-chance item, or do you save up energy and then activate it yourself? If it's the latter, then it reminds me of GG's OHKOs. Very broken, but can be very amusing. If it's the former, then it's a little more kosher since it's random chance and everybody gets a fair shot at it.
I'd be frightened to see "Giga Mario" given how dark and realistic Giga Bowser looks. Yech. :x (at the thought of Giga Mario) Giga Pikachu would rock. XD

Re: Super Smash Bros Brawl
Anyway, yeah. So, I don't even know what GGX stands for. I probably have heard of the actual game. But when people say that SSB is the better fighter? They mean it is the funnest game that has fighting in it, even if it is of an unorthodox kind. Cause I am sure a lot of people, even after reading that essay don't give a flying F about this game being tougher and made for people who play the standard formula for a fighting game.
If quality is dictated by enjoyment, and a fighting game is any game that has fighting, and the person in question has the most fun with SSB, then yeah, for that person in question, it is the best fighting game. Bit duh, don't you think? |

Re: Super Smash Bros Brawl
I remember dying on that bridge so many times just because I had no idea I could do the spin attack atop the horse.

Re: Super Smash Bros Brawl
Glad they chose such a familiar stage rather than something generic or so far into the game that no one remembers it.
Plus, it didn't spoil anything for me. Damn, I need to beat TP. |

Re: Super Smash Bros Brawl
I would have been far more excited to see Dr. Right/Light. And to see MegaMan as a playable character. Curse you, Capcom, and your falling out with Nintendo and refusal to loan them back the character which earned you millions!
Seriously, MegaMan would be nothing without the NES (1-6) and SNES (X1 through X3).

Re: Super Smash Bros Brawl
Hm, so those Assist Trophies seem to not be related to playable characters after all, or are they? When I saw the Samurai whats-his-name trophy I thought only Cpt. Falcon could get him to appear, but Dr. Wright doesn't seem to be related to any playable character, right? And neither does that Nintendog puppy..
So, do those trophies work like Pokeballs so that it's random what you get out of it or not? Someone please enlighten me =o

Yeah, random. Basically pokeballs. But hey, they're cool.
I never knew Joe was sarcastic. People keep telling me he is, but I never am around him when he is. |

Re: Super Smash Bros Brawl
You don't remember the bumper? Wow.
The bumper was sort of missed in Melee. The flipper does not have the same sort of kick the bumper had. That thing really pushed you around. It appeared in some stages as stationary, but it was an item too. |

I wish I could post just that, but I can't. So, I'll post that and the two sentences here. |
