The Race is On...! Round 10 Results Tyoyo and Neville: 0 meters (Attacking Raikou Statue Panel) Sneasel and Marissa: 0 meters (Attacking Raikou Statue Panel) Talon and Misdrevous: 4 meters Kaisap and Elmira: 10 meters Itzatrap and Judis: 10 meters Kairne and Baudelaire: 6 meters (-2 for being Attacked for a total of 4) Lilblue and Coco Puff: 10 meters (-1 for Attack on Baudelaire for a total of 8 ) Neville and Marissa waste no time in attacking the plates. Neville with a Shock wave and Marissa with a Zap Cannon. Both attacks charge the panels sending a current of electricity up the statue of Raikou until the legendary beast bristles with voltage and a pair of thunderstones drop down below. Elmira reaches the statue with a feeling of pride brought on by the enthusiastic cheering of Noriko, Kek, and Kitty while a few tiny dark clouds began to appear overhead, but seemed to look like they would amount to nothing. Just as the lioness is about to move to the open panel a red and black crocodile by the name of Judis cuts in front of her and takes the final slot forcing the luxio to wait until one of the other panels opens up. Misdreavous continues to plod along slowly. It is becoming clear that her early sprint out of the gate must have left her more fatigued than originally believed as she struggles to get to the Raikou statue where she can have a moment to rest. Back at the rear of the race, Coco has come to the conclusion that if she is going to win this race there was no time play nice. Nor was Puff's sympathy for others going get in the way of her trying to win this race. With a deep kick of her foot she kicks up a patch of mud that hits Baudelaire square in the face slowing down the psychic and forcing him to wipe the dirt from his eyes before seeing the bird start to pull away. Stats Tyoyo and Neville: 50 meters (0 meters to Raikou statue. 50 meters to finish) Sneasel and Marissa: 50 meters (0 meters to Raikou. 50 meters to finish) Kaisap and Elmira: 50 meters (0 meters to Raikou. 50 meters to finish) Itzatrap and Judis: 50 meters (0 meters to Raikou. 50 meters to finish) Talon and Misdreavous: 47 meters (3 meters to Raikou. 53 meters to finish) Lilblue and Coco Puff: 42 meters (8 meters to Raikou. 58 meters to finish) Kairne and Baudelaire: 38 meters (12 meters to Raikou. 62 meters to finish) Fire beats Grass, so Itza reaches the Raikou Statue first, while Kaisap will have to wait until next round to approach it. Spoiler: show Round 11 Results Tyoyo and Neville: 8 meters (-2 for being Attacked for a total of 6) Sneasel and Marissa: 10 meters (-1 for Attack on Neville for a total of 9) Talon and Misdrevous: 1 meter Kaisap and Elmira: 0 meters (Moving to newly open Panel) Itzatrap and Judis: 0 meters (Attacking Raikou Statue Panel) Kairne and Baudelaire: 10 meters Lilblue and Coco Puff: 10 meters Two stones drop and Marissa and Neville both pick them up before racing off to the finish line. Only, Marissa has other plans as she releases a pulse of dark energy into the flat fish thing. The effect causes Neville to land upside down where he flips over to see Marissa has floated ahead into the lead. The problem is that with her attention on Neville, Marissa didn't notice the Minun waiting for her with a Thundershock. Judis bites down hard on the panel sending his own charge of electricity into the statue giving it the same lustrous glow that Neville and Marissa had applied to it. Soon enough a stone begins to drop down to the Sandile. With Neville and Baudelaire on their way, Elmira moves into an open spot while Kek continues to sting onlookers with needles. Whether this is accidental or out of frustration for the way Judis edged out Elmira, only the cactus really knows. But one thing is for sure. Losing that chance really cost their team some valuable time. Misdreavous nearly comes to a stop as Coco Puff races past her for the final open spot at the Raikou Statue. It almost seems like the bad luck she is having just keeps getting worse and worse and the fear that she may have given up on the race is beginning to become a possibility. Having been slowed once by Coco Puff, Baudelaire redoubles his efforts and gives it everything he's got. The statue of Raikou quickly growing ever larger in his field of vision while he finds himself caught up to Misdreavous. The two look at each other and realize that it is going to be a race between the two of them to get to the statue first so the other won't have to wait. Stats Sneasel and Marissa: 60 meters (40 meters to finish) Tyoyo and Neville: 56 meters (44 meters to finish) Itzatrap and Judis: 50 meters (0 meters to Raikou. 50 meters to finish) Kaisap and Elmira: 50 meters (0 meters to Raikou. 50 meters to finish) Lilblue and Coco Puff: 50 meters (0 meters to Raikou. 50 meters to finish) Talon and Misdreavous: 48 meters (2 meters to Raikou. 52 meters to finish) Kairne and Baudelaire: 48 meters (2 meters to Raikou. 52 meters to finish) Spoiler: show Round 12 Results Tyoyo and Neville: 9 meters Sneasel and Marissa: 7 meters (-2 for being Thundershocked for a total of 5) Talon and Misdrevous: 7 meters Kaisap and Elmira: 0 meters (Attacking Raikou Statue) Itzatrap and Judis: 6 meters Kairne and Baudelaire: 7 meters Lilblue and Coco Puff: 0 meters (Attacking Raikou Statue with attack 1 of 2) Finding Karma to be a pain, Marissa pushes ahead despite the jolts of electricity coursing through her ethereal body. Neville smiles as devilishly as he can given his dopey look at this turn of events and launches himself forward in an attempt to reclaim his lead. Judis takes his stone in his mouth and races off after the leaders. While he has some ground to make up, it isn't impossible given that he can see them just a little ahead of him. Elmira Sends a spark of power into the statue and the sound of a stone falling down from it can be heard. Her fan club still behind her all the way given that she is not out of the race yet. Coco Puff sends a small whirlwind into the panel and pauses when she doesn't hear the familiar sound of a stone dropping from above. Puff looks curiously at her twin, but Coco knows that the lack of an electrical attack isn't going to stop her now. Not when she has come so far, so fast. In a fury of determination, the bird begins pecking at the panel in hopes that it will eventually give her the stone that she wants. Misdreavous and Baudelaire catch each others' eyes and were this a western we would see them squinting. Ghosts and Psychics have long had a rivalry in the pokemon world and this was no different. With the sandile gone there was only one spot left to be able to get a stone and both pokemon were intent on getting that final spot. With an impressive burst, the two bumped and shoved their way the find couple of meters with Baudelaire just barely edging out Misdreavous for the final spot leaving Misdreavous in a position to wonder just how her luck could have turned so bad. Stats Sneasel and Marissa: 65 meters (35 meters to finish) Tyoyo and Neville: 65 meters (35 meters to finish) Itzatrap and Judis: 56 meters (44 meters to finish) Kaisap and Elmira: 50 meters (0 meters to Raikou. 50 meters to finish) Lilblue and Coco Puff: 50 meters (0 meters to Raikou. 50 meters to finish) Talon and Misdreavous: 50 meters (0 meters to Raikou. 50 meters to finish) Kairne and Baudelaire: 50 meters (0 meters to Raikou. 50 meters to finish) Coin flip ended up “Tails” so Baudelaire will reach the final panel first meaning Misdreavous will have to wait until Elmira gets her stone before she can move in. Because Coco Puff is using a non-electric attack, it will take her 2 turns to get a stone. Spoiler: show Rather than add any confusion about who does what when, I would like everyone to give numbers for all three of the next rounds regardless of whether you are at the Raikou statue or not. This race is actually pretty close right now, so have fun as we approach the home stretch. |

Birds of a feather, finally working together?
As Coco strived forward, Puff felt her twin’s sheer determination seep into her system, stirring sympathy. If Coco wanted to win this much… Then for her sister’s sake – for her happiness – Puff would also try her hardest. That's right, no more distractions.
The pair fell in sync, fast approaching the rest of the pack already at the mascot's icon. At the last minute, it looked like a Misdreavus would beat them to the final open panel. While Puff was more than willing to wait their turn, Coco wasn’t about to let displacement deter her, putting on an extra burst of speed to dart directly in front of the ghost. Puff began to apologize profusely for bumping poor Yuuko in the process, but Coco’s call for assistance called her back. Nodding, together they coordinated a tornatow (taller than before with the power of two behind it, though still somewhat small and shaky from lack of practice/conviction from one party), and carefully guided it to the target. A pause, waiting for their prize to appear. …Nothing happened. Frustrated, Coco jabbed at the rectangle with her beak so hard it seemed like she might break it, while Puff closed her eyes and prayed to the God of Thunder to please bless her sister with a stone (as well as beg forgiveness for such irreverent behavior at his feet). She winced every time Coco left a permanent scratch on sacred un-stained glass, fearing heaven’s might may as well rain down on them instead as divine retribution for their desecration. - 2, 2, 2. Keep PECKing until the stone drops.

Elmira had finally reached the statue, but the distance between her and the top 3 was getting increasingly longer. With the stone in the feline's possession, it was time for the last spurt!
"Elmira, go get them! Make this one count!" The cheering trio in the audience was screaming at the top of their lungs, with strong faith that Elmira would pull through. "It's not over till it's over!" Kek shot out a Poison Sting to the sky for a small, purple fireworks display, pictures being worth more than a thousand words - or so Noriko had told him. Kitty was dancing harder than before, determined to cheer Elmira to victory. (Picking numbers 7, 7 and 7.) |

And we're coming down to the Home Stretch!
Round 13 Results Tyoyo and Neville: 7 meters (-1 for Attacking Sneezy and -2 for being attacked for a total of 4) Sneasel and Marissa: 1 meters (-1 for attacking Tyoyo and -2 for being attacked for a total of -2) Talon and Misdrevous: 10 meters (Reaches Statue) Kaisap and Elmira: 9 meters Itzatrap and Judis: 9 meters Kairne and Baudelaire: 7 meters (Attacking Statue) Lilblue and Coco Puff: 9 meters (Attacking Statue with attack 2 of 2) Just past the halfway mark, Neville and Marissa seem to be going at each other head to head looking to get ahead of each other. The deviant Nevilee unleashes a Shockwave just as Marissa stops and let's loose a Dark Pulse. The attacks both hit their marks, however Marissa finds herself knocked backward a bit while Neville bounces forward. Seeing the other two pokemon going at each other Judis takes the opportunity to sneak into the pack moving just past Marissa into second place. Receiving her stone, Elmira takes off from the Raikou statue at a brisk pace as she closes the gap between herself and the leaders. Her cheering section obviously having the intended effect of giving her the confidence she needs to succeed. Coco Puff relentlessly Pecks the panel on the statue until finally the sound of a stone dropping down can be heard. Satisfied that her determination paid off Coco grabs the stone in her beak while Puff offers a silent prayer to the Thunder God for giving them a stone before Coco hurt herself. Baudelaire, having edged out Misdreavous attacks the statue panel with a Thunderbolt letting the energy course through the statue as a stone drops down to him. Misdreavous bounces impatiently when an open spot becomes available and quickly moves in. Stats Tyoyo and Neville: 69 meters (31 meters to finish) Itzatrap and Judis: 64 meters (36 meters to finish) Sneasel and Marissa: 63 meters (37 meters to finish) Kaisap and Elmira: 59 meters (41 meters to finish) Lilblue and Coco Puff: 50 meters (50 meters to finish) Kairne and Baudelaire: 50 meters (50 meters to finish) Talon and Misdreavous: 50 meters (50 meters to finish) Spoiler: show Round 14 Results Tyoyo and Neville: 10 meters Sneasel and Marissa: 6 meters Talon and Misdrevous: 10 meters (Attacking Raikou Statue) Kaisap and Elmira: 1 meters (Thundershocked on next turn) Itzatrap and Judis: 1 meters Kairne and Baudelaire: 10 meters (Thundershocked on next turn) Lilblue and Coco Puff: 5 meters Seeing the competition nearly surpass him, Neville bounds out into the lead with as much effort as he could muster. Meanwhile, Marissa seems to have regained composure and races ahead to try to once more catch the nasty little stunfisk who has been causing so much trouble. Judis finds himself pausing as the two attacks from the leaders at each other gives him a little pause as to whether or not he should get in the middle of it all. While not as close Elmira also finds herself slow down to watch the battle between the leaders. Her pause however comes at a price as a Minun slips out between the walls of the track and Thundershocks the electric cat at the same time an exploding Poison Sting explodes in the sky. Baudelaire rushes toward the finish line unconcerned about what had happened ahead of him. Unfortunately, he probably should have been paying better attention since a jolt of electricity from the very same Minun that attacked Elmira gets him too. Coco Puff finds herself moving a little bit casually perhaps due to Coco and Puff not being on the same page due to Puff still thanking the Thunder God for not making things any more difficult than they already were. Misdreavous finally gets her chance to attack the statue and doesn't waste a second as she sends a Thunderbolt into the panel allowing the statue to drop it's gift to her. Stats Tyoyo and Neville: 79 meters (21 meters to finish) Sneasel and Marissa: 69 meters (31 meters to finish) Itzatrap and Judis: 65 meters (35 meters to finish) Kaisap and Elmira: 60 meters (40 meters to finish) Kairne and Baudelaire: 60 meters (40 meters to finish) Lilblue and Coco Puff: 55 meters (45 meters to finish) Talon and Misdreavous: 50 meters (50 meters to finish) Spoiler: show Round 15 Results Tyoyo and Neville: 7 meters Sneasel and Marissa: 9 meters Talon and Misdrevous: 1 meters Kaisap and Elmira: 5 meters (-2 for being Thundershocked for a total of 3) Itzatrap and Judis: 3 meters Kairne and Baudelaire: 4 meters (-2 for being Thundershocked for a total of 2) Lilblue and Coco Puff: 9 meters Neville continues his march toward the finish line setting a quick pace. While Marissa continues to gain ground, she still finds herself having a tough time catching up. Judis still seems a little stunned by what he had seen and slowly continues to move forward. The young Sandile almost seems a little intimidated by the leaders at this point. Puff suddenly realizes that they were back to racing and opens her eyes to find Coco moving forward. The two manage to sync up once more and like a flash, find themselves passing by Elmira and Baudelaire who are still shaking off the effects of being Thundershocked, but are moving forward. Elmira seems to shake it off first, but one has to wonder just how much that shock might have set her back. Regardless, her cheering section is still behind her and Elmira finds herself more determined than ever to prove that she can win this. Baudelaire pushes through the pain as well finding himself awfully sick of being shocked at every turn. Misdreavous finally picks up her prize and turns excitedly to race on when she notices just how far behind everyone she is. The poor little ghost almost looks as if the wind had gone out of her sails upon seeing her predicament. Stats Tyoyo and Neville: 86 meters (14 meters to finish) Sneasel and Marissa: 78 meters (22 meters to finish) Itzatrap and Judis: 68 meters (32 meters to finish) Lilblue and Coco Puff: 64 meters (36 meters to finish) Kaisap and Elmira: 63 meters (37 meters to finish) Kairne and Baudelaire: 62 meters (38 meters to finish) Talon and Misdreavous: 51 meters (49 meters to finish) Spoiler: show Looks like we are nearing the end. Please post numbers for FIVE rounds this time. As I mentioned before, there are prizes beyond Cherubii. I will also be basing crossing the finish line off of whoever covers the most total distance in the round in which the finish line is crossed. So if Marissa and Neville both were to cross the finish line in round 17, whoever ended up with the most total distance would be the one who crossed the line first. If there is a tie, it would go one more round. Good luck to all of you, this should be quite the finish. |

Things were looking bad; after a good spurt toward the top contestants, Elmira fell further and further behind. Maybe she was getting tired already? Noriko's team was still cheering with all their might, hoping for some divine intervention. Whatever the outcome though, Elmira was still as amazing as she had been before the race, possibly even more so with her new experiences!

BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRD
Finally, the stone fortune fell to Coco’s fury. As she snatched it eagerly in her beak, Puff offered a silent thanks to the great deity for granting them
Up ahead, a burst of violet suddenly spilled through the sky, raining noxious needles – fortunately far from the track itself. Though the celebration wasn’t meant for them, Puff paused to watch the fireworks display in awe. Coco turned in annoyance to snap her sibling’s attention to the race again, but halted when she witnessed Puff’s eyes wide with wonder, admiring the beauty of such a scene. The flashes reminded her of stars in space, a marvelous (Poké)man-made meteor shower... She sighed wistfully, shining with satisfaction. Coco glanced towards the home stretch, where a Stunfisk and Duskull were still duking it out for first, shoving and striking shrilly. …Somehow, she didn’t feel as desperate to beat both of them anymore. She gulped, swallowing pride, and smiled down at her sister, softly understanding she had her own preferences of pastimes. And perhaps, their desires weren’t so different after all. She slowed to meet her partner’s pace, moving sluggishly as if through molasses. Shaking her head, Coco settled for a second to enjoy the view as well. Together, they shared a moment of peace. Solace. Solidarity. A single stationary sun surrounded by planets in orbit, ignoring the others as they ran round like chickens with their heads cut off, while the pure poultry pair managed to keep theirs held proud. Such silly, superficial satellites; cosmetic comets. They could collide, clash and crash for all the two cared at that moment in time, grounded enough to recognize the splendor here beneath the stratosphere, at the same time dreaming of beyond… Coco soon grew tired of standing still though, and shifted to gently bop Puff with the lightning gem, dropping it so it rolled straight into the slightly smaller gaping bill, almost causing the owner to choke. Your turn to hold it, Coco seemed to say as she ruffled Puff’s crown. Puff gathered herself and grinned in appreciation as she nuzzled back. She shoved the rock between them in return, insisting that they carry it across the finish line in chorus. Recharged by the static station, the duo took off like a bullet, completely in sync as they abruptly passed a panting blue lion. A part of Puff thrilled from the adrenaline, the crystal connecting the couple acting as a conductor. Energy flowed freely, filling her with confidence. Something sparked between them, emboldening both. She caught Coco’s gaze, and made a mute, mutual agreement. She was willing to give it her all this time. No, the truth was she wanted to win too. To that end, and to prove to the world they were the best when working in tandem, there was one more thing she wished to do. …Most of all, whether it succeeded or not, it was simply a symbol to show their team spirit. - 2, 2, 2, 2, 2. Attacking Itzatrap’s Sandile with BRAVE BIRD in the first round.

And we're coming into the Home Stretch!
Round 16 Tyoyo and Neville: 3 meters (-2 for being attacked for a total of 1) Sneasel and Marissa: 8 meters (-1 for attack for a total of 7) Talon and Misdrevous: 8 meters Kaisap and Elmira: 7 meters Itzatrap and Judis: 3 meters (-2 for being attacked for a total of 1) Kairne and Baudelaire: 3 meters Lilblue and Coco Puff: 3 meters (-1 for attack for a total of 2) With the race coming into the homestretch Neville and Marissa continue to jockey for the lead. Marissa let's loose a dark aura of vicious thoughts toward the Stunfisk nearly stopping it in it's tracks as she closes in on him. While the two leaders battle it out, Judis finds himself slowing down slightly to see how things turn out before he can make his move. What he doesn't notice is that Coco Puff has charged up large amount of energy and leapt into the air to come down and slam into the crocodile knocking him to the ground hard. Unfortunately, for Coco and Puff, they didn't count on the amount of recoil they would take from the attack and find themselves staggering backwards enough for the blue lion they had just passed an opportunity to rush ahead into 3rd place much to the joy of her cheering section. At least until a Jolteon steps out onto the track and greets her with a blast of electricity. Not only that, but Baudelaire quietly has crept up on the double headed bird in an attempt to make something out of this race. Misdreavous has even turned on the speed deciding that even though she is a long way out of it, at least she can try to make something out of the race. Stats Tyoyo and Neville: 87 meters (13 meters to finish) Sneasel and Marissa: 85 meters (15 meters to finish) Kaisap and Elmira: 70 meters (30 meters to finish) (Thundershocked on next turn) Itzatrap and Judis: 69 meters (31 meters to finish) Lilblue and Coco Puff: 66 meters (34 meters to finish) Kairne and Baudelaire: 65 meters (35 meters to finish) Talon and Misdreavous: 58 meters (42 meters to finish) --------------------------------------- Round 17 Tyoyo and Neville: 10 meters (-1 for attack for a total of 9) Sneasel and Marissa: 5 meters (-2 for being attacked for a total of 3) Talon and Misdrevous: 2 meters Kaisap and Elmira: 2 meters (-2 for being Thundershocked for a total of 0) Itzatrap and Judis: 10 meters Kairne and Baudelaire: 10 meters Lilblue and Coco Puff: 3 meters Marissa's attack may have slowed Neville down for a moment, but the devious little Stunfisk has a surprise of his own for the ghost sending a Shockwave right back at her while skimming along the track in an attempt to leave the ghost behind in a cloud of dust. Judis manages to recover nicely from the surprise Coco Puff gave him and jets ahead once more passing Elmira who has her own problems with a Jolteon who decides that one jolt of electricty just doesn't seem good enough. It's unknown why this particular Jolteon doesn't like Elmira, but it's obvious it has a thing for shocking her. Coco Puff manages to recover and starts ahead while cosmic thoughts float through her heads. With the desire to win replaced by the desire to just enjoy the experience Baudelaire easily zips past both her and Elmira with his sights set on a certain crocodile. Meanwhile despite putting up a good effort to try to get back into things, Misdreavous begins to pull up a bit while debating whether she should just give up now or give it one last try so that she doesn't finish last. Stats Tyoyo and Neville: 96 meters (4 meters to finish) Sneasel and Marissa: 88 meters (12 meters to finish) Itzatrap and Judis: 79 meters (21 meters to finish) Kairne and Baudelaire: 75 meters (25 meters to finish) Kaisap and Elmira: 70 meters (30 meters to finish) (Thundershocked on next turn) Lilblue and Coco Puff: 69 meters (31 meters to finish) Talon and Misdreavous: 60 meters (40 meters to finish) ----------------------------------------------- Round 18 Tyoyo and Neville: 7 meters Sneasel and Marissa: 10 meters Talon and Misdrevous: 10 meters Kaisap and Elmira: 10 meters (-2 for being Thundershocked for a total of Itzatrap and Judis: 10 meters Kairne and Baudelaire: 10 meters Lilblue and Coco Puff: 2 meters With the finish line in sight, Marissa gives it everything she has to catch up to and beat Neville who is quickly closing in on the finish line, but seems to be losing ground as he comes down to the wire. Lucky for him, Marissa's push was too little too late and the stunfisk claims victory for himself and his trainer. It seems that all of the racers have decided to give it their all in the home stretch as Judis and Baudelaire push toward the finish line with Elmira right behind them. Even Misdreavous has decided to give it one last shot as she rushes ahead to try to catch a daydreaming Coco Puff. Stats Tyoyo and Neville: 1st Place Sneasel and Marissa: 98 meters (2 meters to finish) Itzatrap and Judis: 89 meters (11 meters to finish) Kairne and Baudelaire: 85 meters (15 meters to finish) Kaisap and Elmira: 78 meters (22 meters to finish) Lilblue and Coco Puff: 71 meters (29 meters to finish) Talon and Misdreavous: 70 meters (30 meters to finish) (Thundershocked on next turn) ---------------------------------- Round 19 Talon and Misdrevous: 9 meters (-2 for being Thundershocked for a total of 7) Sneasel and Marissa: 7 meters Kaisap and Elmira: 7 meters Itzatrap and Judis: 2 meters Kairne and Baudelaire: 9 meters Lilblue and Coco Puff: 9 meters Marissa easily crosses the finish line and claims second place. While she didn't win, her trainer was no doubt proud of the effort she put in. Judis begins to breath heavily and it seems that last burst of speed wore him out as he slows considerably while Baudelaire continues his role as a stalker pushing forward to lead the remaining racers. Elmira frowns at the bad luck she had near the end of the race, but continues to keep fighting on with hope of catching Baudelaire and Judis. Coco glances behind and notices Misdreavous closing the gap between them which prompts the competitive side of her to once more take over so that she doesn't finish last. Misdreavous keeps pushing her way forward in order to see if she can't catch up to the others. Unfortunately, an Elekid has other ideas as he shocks her. Stats Sneasel and Marissa: 2nd Place Kairne and Baudelaire: 94 meters (6 meters to finish) Itzatrap and Judis: 91 meters (9 meters to finish) Kaisap and Elmira: 85 meters (15 meters to finish) Lilblue and Coco Puff: 80 meters (20 meters to finish) (Thundershocked on next turn) Talon and Misdreavous: 77 meters (23 meters to finish) ---------------------------------- Round 20 Talon and Misdrevous: 4 meters Kaisap and Elmira: 4 meters Itzatrap and Judis: 4 meters Kairne and Baudelaire: 6 meters Lilblue and Coco Puff: 8 meters (-2 for being Thundershocked for a total of 6) Baudelaire manages to cross the finish line and take 3rd Place causing the rest of the racers to pull up and cross the finish at their leisure. Although much to her chagrin, a Jolteon zaps Coco Puff as a parting gift. With the race finished the trainer in the red coat once more steps out to congratulate all of the racers. “You were all amazing. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Each and everyone of you should be proud of how you did today. However, only one of you could win the first place prize. So without further adieu, I'd like to present Tyoyo and Neville with this Cherubi. Congratulations! You ran a spectacular race.” Stats Kairne and Baudelaire: 3rd Place Itzatrap and Judis: 95 meters ( 5meters to finish) Kaisap and Elmira: 89 meters (11 meters to finish) Lilblue and Coco Puff: 86 meters (14 meters to finish) Talon and Misdreavous: 83 meters (17 meters to finish) Now then, having won the race, Tyoyo may now start a trade for Cherubi for 2 Candies at his convenience. As consolation, I have decided to also offer a few more prizes out of my own inventory. If you do not want the items, that is your choice. You do not need to make a trade with me for them if you do not want them. It is up to you if they are worth it or not. No problem either way. For second place I will offer Sneezy 1 Heavy Ball or 1 Ghost Ball for the price of 1 Candy For third place I will offer Kairne 1 Nugget for 2,500 coins And last but not least, for roleplaying so well through this entire race I offer Lilblue this very rare Wingull Keychain for 100 coins. Thank you to all of you who participated. I hope you all had fun. Last edited by Stark; 05-01-2013 at 11:14 PM. |

The late bird gets the Wingull.
Blazing with pride, Coco Puff launched straight into the air in tandem. For but a brief moment, it seemed both their dreams had come alive as they reached for the fading stars. …Gravity compelled their rocket back down to earth though, and they made their crash landing on a tiny crocodile. The unexpected heavy turbulence caused the couple cosmonauts to see stars of their own for a few seconds, during which the lion surpassed.
The two shook their heads and started off again, this time trying to ignore the competition and simply focus on their own enjoyment. As even the baby goth soon managed to totter past them though, Coco began to grow restless and glanced back to surprisingly see just the Misdreavus left, striving her hardest to close the gap to avoid being last. Competitiveness won over, and Coco nudged her sister, who nodded as they both kicked it into high gear to complete the final sprint towards the finish line. Their trainer was waiting for them with a huge smile on her face. She hugged and congratulated her Pokémon for making it this far on their own, as well as keeping their cool at the end. Even though they didn’t win, the Jess revealed her right palm first, and in it sat a miniature seagull made of plastic. Puff’s eyes lit up as she cooed over the adorable sky/sea creature, reaching forward to gingerly lift the figure by its strap. Coco rolled her eyes, pretending to have no interest in such things. However, she stole some jealous glances as Puff raised her prize to the sun, letting the light sparkle off its dangling chain. Coco pouted, disappointed her twin alone received a reward when she did all the- er, shared in the “work”. The girl grinned in reassurance however, opening her second hand to uncover a small compact disc. It was Coco’s turn to rejoice as she recognized the move tutoring device, and flapped impatiently as Jess tried to set up the program, eager for any chance to become stronger. Jessica seemed to be having some trouble however, as she searched desperately around for a slot in her Pokédex through which to admit the machine. Embarrassing to say, despite all her years of journey experience, she still wasn’t quite sure how to operate something that, in this rapidly evolving world, could be considered an adventurer staple. Usually she simply handed the item over to a shop owner to handle, either directly following purchase or at an established gym facility. All she knew was that you had to “boot up” the TM somehow. Feeling pressure from Coco’s stare, Jess began jamming random buttons in hopes a magic compartment or instructions would appear, but no luck. Fed up with her trainer’s fiddling, Coco snapped up the shiny circle so fast Jess worried she might break it. …Or worse, swallow it. Which is exactly what she did. There was a stunned beat before Jess began to panic, wondering if she had to rush Coco – and subsequently poof Puff, seeing as it would affect the same digestive system – to the Pokémon Center. …At the same time a small part might’ve worried what Nurse Joy must think, as it wouldn’t be the first time she brought in a sick charge that required a stomach pump. Surely the staff would assume she was feeding her team strange food on a regular basis and report her to the Pokémon Ethical Treatment Association for abuse. (For that reason she had decided against hiding the keychain as a prize at the bottom of a cereal box, afraid that with the birds’ appetite they’d easily consume it along with the cocoa crunch.) Suddenly, Coco let out a large burp lit by flames. She beamed in satisfaction and shot a torch overhead, which Puff admired in awe, tapping into the new knowledge as well to contribute a mild stream of ice. With their strengths combined, sparks of electricity crackled (perhaps powered in part through the thunder crystal), forming their own fireworks. Jessica scratched her head and shrugged, assuming the mechanism must have succeeded somehow. …Still, she’d keep an eye out for signs of complications, just in case. Once the pair’s excitement had settled, Puff realized it wasn’t really fair for her to keep one present to herself while her sibling was forced to “share” hers, so to speak. She gently pushed the Wingull towards Coco, who balked in disregard, but a blush gave way to gratitude. Tired but content, the two followed their trainer home, happily taking turns playing “airplane” with their OoC – Thank you so much for hosting this event, Stark! It was a really fun experience, and I’m glad it gave me a good chance to develop my Pokémon’s characters. I will gladly accept the keychain as a souvenir, thanks. =) If you wouldn’t mind starting the Trade, I’d appreciate it for further possible(?) personal storytelling purposes. P.S. Belated congrats to Tyoyo for winning Cherubi!
