To general mild surprise, Drake's Poké Ball was already empty. As it turned out, its occupant, Delia the Delibird, was already out of her ball, and as it turned out, she wasn't up for a battle. Keith nodded understandingly, though before he could withdraw Smiley, Drake went on to state that he intended to let Wolfe battle both the Quilladin and the Wynaut. This surprised Keith- two on one was hardly fair!

However, it quickly became obvious that Wolfe had a good fighting chance even without the advantage in numbers. Keith's jaw dropped as Wolfe began to evolve seemingly unaided, and it only got freakier from there. They had a synthetic Fire Stone that allowed Wolfe to evolve temporarily, and when he did so, not only was he twice the size of an ordinary Arcanine and also able to stand on two legs, but this evolution also brought about a change in Drake's appearance, allowing him to grow fur the same shade as Wolfe's. With a gravely, scratchy voice, Drake gave them the first move.

Once the initial shock had wore off, Keith was ready to get things started. "OK, then," he said. "Let's weaken Wolfe as much as we can to start with. Manchin, use Leech Seed! Smiley, use Charm!"

Tinnitus smiled and nodded in response. And once they both were undoubtedly ready... they were off!

Wolfe was ready, and while Drake sat down to play with Delia, ( while watching of course )
One moment he was there, then the next he was behind Manchin and Smiley.

"Surprise!" Wolfe said, his voice was startling similar to that of his mental voice. He slammed a hand down between Smilely and Manchin, startling them both.

The resulting crack between the two fields streached all the way to where Drake was at.

"Don't go too hard on them Wolfe, remember you are literally twice as big as you would be, and you could quite literally crush them. " Drake said

In a mental voice he added "We want to test them on how well they react to sudden changes, their battling skills are adequate enough that you don't need to use any moves."
"Gotcya boss." Wolfe smiled down on the two pokemon below him, then he moved ever so slightly and he disappeared again

"That means Quit using Extrme speed on them!" Drake added with a smile.

Lelo knew she wasn't going to out speed the water-ground type pokemon who was surely going to be her best friend, but she knew there was several pipes that regulated the flow in this lake, and several went topside, She swam as fast as she could to one of these pipes while Tinny took off for the main one.

Both Manchin and Smiley reacted in shock, with the gigantic Arcanine having shown up so suddenly behind them, and by slamming a front paw on the battlefield, split it clean in two. The only orders Drake gave were for Wolfe to go easy, and also to quit using Extreme Speed. Well, the only orders any of them could hear, anyway- it was a decidedly different battle, Keith knew. But then, he realized- if Wolfe had indeed just used Extreme Speed, his Pokémon could do something with that! "Smiley, use Encore!" Keith ordered.

"Wy! Naut! Wy! Naut!" chanted Smiley, punctuating each syllable with a clap of his ear-hands.

"Good, Smiley- now use Counter!" Keith commanded. "Manchin!" he added to his Quilladin. "After Smiley Counters, block the next one with Quick Guard, and Smiley, go for Payback!" It was a brilliant plan- Wolfe had caught them all off guard, but Encore meant that he'd be forced to repeat Extreme Speed, so he wasn't about to catch them by surprise here.

Tinnitus didn't even notice that Lelo had gone for a different pipe, let alone there even being different pipes. Even without Swift Swim as an Ability, the Seismitoad was fairly fast, and he reached the main pipe in pretty decent time, and swam into it.

To everyone else, he was a blur of fur and dust and ice flakes.
While he spun faster and faster, the rocks and ice that he broke picked up and spun around him in a cloud.

Let them counter this, wolfe thought.
Quick Guard may protect them though from the swirling ice rock cloud he made.

Keith very quickly realized a flaw in his plan- while using Encore to lock Wolfe into Extreme Speed worked perfectly, it did not force him to use Extreme Speed for attacking purposes. Instead, the temporarily-evolved Arcanine smashed up a number of rocks, some covered with ice, and spun in circles, swirling the shards and gravel in a cloud around him that swirled and billowed outward.

"Wyyyy..." murmured Smiley uncertainly as he saw this.

"Quill, quilla!" Manchin exclaimed, leaping into action and executing the Quick Guard as ordered. Of course- the cloud was the product of Extreme Speed, so Quick Guard should be as effective against it as against the move itself.

Keith, meanwhile, eyed the cloud of rocks and ice that swirled around Wolfe, getting a downright crazy idea. "Now, Smiley, get in there!" he called out. "Use Splash to jump from rock to rock, and get in close! Be ready for Counter if Wolfe strikes back, but as soon as you got a clean shot, give it the Sludge Wave! Manchin, keep up that Quick Guard as long as you can, you're doing great!"

"Quiiiillaaaaaa..." Manchin grunted, acknowledging the praise with a grin as he kept up the protective technique.

"Wy! Naut!" grunted Smiley, leaping from flying rock to flying rock.

Tinnitus surfaced topside at the same time as Lelo, and the Seismitoad searched around for his teammate, employing the use of Supersonic to aid in his search. And yet, the Dragalge was closer to Lelo than to Tinnitus at that moment. Tinnitus hadn't found Neville yet, and while he was getting close, Lelo had a real shot at finding him first...

"You're...Different here than you were in the woods"
"It's nice to see you be more emotional"


Storm smiled a little before replying
"Yes...You're right."
"This place will always remain a happy memory to me"

Storm once again turned to Wolfe.
"So, Wolfe, what do you usually do to pass the time?"

A huge Castle, located just outside a nearby forest it has views over the lake and forest
Please post your rp in the color of dark orange outside the house, and inside the color must match the room please ( though I will not enforce this, nor complain if you don't )
Outside, the lake has large rock pillars surrounding the edge, and if Drake is not inside, he's often found sitting up high on these. The forest on the other side is very murky and has creepy sounds floating out of it, Drake disappears into this every so often so only he knows what goes on in there, Wolfie sometimes accompanies him, but won't speak of whats inside the woods.

A more natural stadium can be found out here, As well as a playground and when the weathers nice, wild pokemon can be found playing here.
The lake is home to wild Dragalge and Skrelp with a whole slew of other aquatic 'mons

On the oustide, there are several Breezeways connecting the many wings of Gateway Castle

Main entrance: These Rooms can be accessed through the main entrance.

Foyer / PokeBase: just the first room into the house/base nothing special except that its got benches and coat racks and can hold a steelix standing from tail tip to face vertically and lengthwise. An entrance through the foyer leads to the Underground, a underground cavern below the lake where wild pokemon come to play. Located here are several Pokemon Only restaurants and shops and arenas.( humans can be inside the Underground, but are not allowed in the shops and such )

Living room: Very big on the inside, huge theater sized tv with surround sound system and every single game console there is ( with games ) and huge couches, nothing much special here, Sparky is found here, watching soccer more often than not, and playing with his electricity.

North wing: Through the northern wing, We have the kitchens and the stairway to the basement battlefield, There also is a elevator down to the Pokebase below. Also, Drake has a new labratory nearby located in the Aerary.

Kitchens: A huge industrial sized kitchen, stalked up with both human and pokemon foods of all kinds, Luna the lunatone is often found in here whipping up some kind of treat for fun with Queenie the Vespiquen.

Aerary: In here Drake actually uses this as his new labratory, there are machean parts all over the room, orginized on shelving units, with a very large table in the center of the room. Please Reply using #ff984e

Underground: A Pokemon only ( for the most part ) area. Wild pokemon come to play here, its connected to the lake above with a "Hydro Tube", which fills the lake underneath the topside one. The water is usually warm all year round.
Many shops ( no money required) and bars/restaurants also can be found under here, There is also a natural Arena that wild pokemon use to fight others. Please reply in "#800020 "

Basement / Battle Room: It is a room with a stadium, the stadium can change its "typing" which is based off the 18 types of pokemon, Moves and types will be boosted or negated based on the stadium type.( more information will be provided to challengers )

East wing: Here in the east wing of Gateway Castle is the Medical Bay

Medical bay: This is a hospital located in the west wing of the mansion, it practically takes up the whole wing, and is pretty self explanatory. Usually a wild Gardevoir, Chansey, Audino, and Abipom are the head doctors and nurses here with some other pokemon ( such as Minccino and Cinccino. ) Please respond in "#0b5345 "

South wing: Now this wing is the largest of the castle and it holds the Library.

Library: This library has its own floor all to itself and is stocked with books of all kinds, located at the top floor of the mansion, you could get lost in here, just for fun. State of the art computers are in the center of the room, and arcanine and pyroar statues mark the entrances and exits. Wolfie is found in here reading books in his cosy corner, with a pair of special glasses that record what he reads for later use.

Secret Room: A teleport path hidden inside the basement allows access into the other half of Drakes room not visible to the eyes or noses or anything really... It seems odd, and there is a glowing cyrstal in the center ( Also do not enter unless invited )

West wing: The West wing of the castle, is the housing wing.

Dormitories: These are rooms for guests to stay in if Drake invites them to stay. Has attached bathrooms, and is stocked with everything imaginable for any guest who may stay in these rooms

Drakes Bedroom: A very big bedroom, strewn with bits of gadgets, a very large work desk and a queen sized bed. ( do not enter unless invited to ) Please respond in "Yellow"

As of today, the Gateway Castle has been updated
It will not affect any adventures that were going on during the update, but will affect the ones after it.

Okay Since I forgot which moves i had durning this, I will be incorperating my current listing of moves for wolfe, Sorry
Also, I dislike updating myself in the third person, so my replies will from be now on told from my point of view ( i.e I saw the move coming in, and rolled a little to the left to dodge it )

My speed was fast, too fast for the wynaut to follow, because of the move extreme speed, though while they may have encored me into it, it will soon run out of pp.

I left my swirling vortex of debris and walked around wynaut.
Because of my extreme speed everything was still slow, and while I was walking, it was still too fast for anyone except maybe Drake to see.

I skated over on the ice side of the arena and sat down. I waited for my Encore to wear off, which should be like......... now.

Perfect, now I am normal speed.

I touched the ice, and using Camoflague I transformed myself into an ice type.
I furthered my transformation to make my normally sable and green fur, to translucent. Good

Now to attack.

My lungs burned, though not as they normally would, I kicked my legs harder and harder. Granted I was in a piping, but there should be an opening near by.
This was fun, very fun.

While Wolfe could surf the top of the lake, and Drake windsurf, no one could swim, like me now
And it makes me get this bubbly feeling inside. I supose its what Drake calls happiness.

I shook my head, I need to keep going, while I may not win, I still want to give it my very best shot at winning.

I pushed upwards out through the opening that I could see above me.
Tinny was fast, but I have the homefield advantage.

Rolu chuckled.

"Maybe."

Wolfe had already reached the end of the hallway while Storm was still slowly walking along with his cane.

"You...Didn't walk as slow as this before, is something bothering you?'

Rolu seemed concerned.

"No...I'm fine, just lost in thought."
"My apologies, Rolu."

Rolu and Storm finally reached the end of the hallway.
Wolfe was still there, patiently waiting for Storm.

"Better late than never, right?"
"I'm sorry for taking so long, Wolfe."

"Now, I'm really curious to see what you do to pass the time."

One, Wolfe had heard what the Quilladin had told Smiley to do, and two, he was still pretty fast even without Extreme Speed, so the temporary Arcanine was able to see the Taunt coming a mile away, and evade the Payback, and even the Leech Seed. Manchin was met with a Swift attack, but he was able to secure his grip with Vine Whip... until came the Firestream.

"Quillaaaaa!" Manchin screamed as the vine was forcibly and flammably severed, forcing him to let go. It wasn't too big a problem, he knew that the vine would be OK, that the burnt portion would grow back, but right now, he was pissed. "Quilladiiiiiin!" Manchin bellowed, lunging forward quite suddenly, landing the Power-Up Punch he'd been prepping.

"Direct hit! Super effective!" Keith grinned, encouraging his Quilladin. "You guys are doing great out there! Now, guys, it's time to get this done, pinball-style!"

At these words, both the Quilladin and the Wynaut knew exactly what to do. Manchin made his round form even rounder, if you can believe it, and went right into a Rollout attack. But if Wolfe went to try and dodge it, he would quickly find this to be a waste of time, for the attack missed him by a mile. Between this, and the consistently Charming demeanor of the Wynaut, Wolfe would surely be fooled into thinkign nothing big was about to happen. Which would, of course, make for all the bigger of a surprise when Manchin was satisfied that he'd picked up enough speed by rolling around the battlefield, at which point he would roll right at Smiley. Counterproductive, seemingly... until, of course, the Wynaut's Counter kicked in. Careful positioning on the Psychic-type's part would allow Manchin to ricochet off him, and barrel right into Wolfe with twice the power! All it was missing was the pinball machine sound effects.

Neville backed up a bit, apologetic as he saw how badly he'd scared Lelo, and a volley of cheerful soundwaves from off in the distance would tell the Poochyena that Tinnitus acknowledged her victory and was congratulating her on it. They all surfaced together (Tinnitus and Neville, of course, helping Lelo if at any point she needed it).

In order for me to do that, my force has to be equal to that of Manchin, and since Smilely has been.... charming me I have to be careful.

I Howled, and started gathering electricity, and to take care of Smilely, becoming a ping ball bouncing spot I shot a Dragon Rage at it, the damage will be the same no matter what.
I Howled once more and started running, letting my transluceny fall.

Run, Run, Run, Run, RUN, RUN, RUN,

I spun around in a circle to build up my attack and ran to meet Manchin head on, dropping to all four of my paws.

It soon became clear to Keith that his strategy was falling apart like a KO'd School Form Wishiwashi. Wolfe wasn't fooled by Charm- if anything, it made him more wary. After a few Howls, after which he became visible once more, he ran around in circles, crackling with electricity, and met Manchin head-on with a Volt Tackle!

But Manchin wasn't backing down, not at this. He was a Grass-type. He resisted Electric moves. His own Attack power was up from that Power-Up Punch, and even if he hadn't gotten to bounce it off Smiley's Counter just yet, he was still able to build up its power by rolling around, smashing through a few of the boulders on the battlefield. And to top it all off, Rollout was super effective.

And yet, despite all this, Manchin wasn't getting anywhere. Volt Tackle was slowly but surely pushing him backwards, and Keith could tell the Quilladin was struggling just to keep rolling. "Quill.... Quill..." he groaned.

"Don't give up!"

Manchin's eyes flew open. "Quilla?!"

It was Keith who had called out to the Grass-type. "You can do this, Manchin!" he encouraged his Quilladin. "You're stronger than this, I know you are! I've seen you train! Your last Trainer did a hell of a good job working with you, and I've done my best to live up to that! With all of that, there's no way we can lose! I know it! And I know you know it, too!" Keith grinned- at this point, it looked as though Manchin was rolling a bit faster, as though the Volt Tackle wasn't pushing him back so much. "Now go!!!"

"QuiiiiiiiiiiiiiiillllllaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!" Manchin bellowed, his spirit renewed and reinvigorated by Keith's words. A burning energy, a desire to prove his Trainer right, flooded throughout the Quilladin's body, and right away, it became evident that this burning energy was manifesting itself in a very big way.

Keith's mouth fell open- his Quilladin had become naught but a rolling mass of brilliant blue light. Volt Tackle wasn't pushing him back anymore- in fact, it was Wolfe getting pushed back a bit as the glowing mass got larger. Arms and legs, thick and sturdy as tree trunks, emerged from the armored shell. Gigantic spikes grew out of the back as the head emerged from the top. And Keith quickly realized that Rollout wasn't happening anymore- instead, Wolfe's Volt Tackle was being rebuffed by a formidable Shield of pure energy, with a Spiky texture that, if anything, was causing Wolfe damage. And soon, it was done, with the Volt Tackle being thrown off altogether by the powerful that Manchin had become. "CHESSSNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUGHT!" Manchin roared triumphantly.

"Manchin! Woah!" Keith grinned, producing his Pokédex.

"Chesnaught, the Spiny Armor Pokémon," droned the device. "A Grass and Fighting-type, and the evolved form of Quilladin. When Chesnaught takes a defensive posture with its fists guarding its face, it could withstand even a bomb blast, and its Tackle has enough force to flip a 50-ton tank."

"Dat was cool," Meowth admitted.

"But what was that move it just used?" added Jack.

The Pokédex piped up once more to answer this. "Chesnaught's special attack- Spiky Shield," it droned. "A defensive technique similar to Protect, with a spiky texture that inflicts damage on any attacker who touches it."

"So kinda like Baneful Bunker, except it damages instead of poisons," Keith nodded. "And it looks like that's not your only new move, either!" he added, observing the list his Pokédex was showing him.

"Naught," grinned Manchin.

"Wy! Naut! Wy! Naut!" Smiley was chanting, happy for his teammate.

"Then let's do this!" Keith exclaimed. "Smiley, get in close to Wolfe and make sure he can't move! Manchin, use Tackle, and follow up with Hammer Arm! And Smiley, if Wolfe falls on you, be ready with Counter!"

I shook my head, my fur waving around, that hurt, no doubt about it. But I am not ready to give up just yet.

I took my paws, and started folding them. Interesting this technique is used to distract people and hide what I am really doing.

I blew some Firestream onto my paw, and kept them alight on my paws, thanks to the oil fire types secreat to use flamewheel and similar moves

Heh, maybe I should call out what I call this....

"Gentle fist, Twin Lion Barage!"
Now that will give them a little time to prepare

I moved in close for a strike, the thing is with spikeyshield is that it works like protect, it gets harder to use the more you do.

I swam over to the closest edge of the lake, and I shook myself off spraying water everywhere. Then after I made sure Tinny and Neville were following, I led them to the breezeway,

With Manchin having evolved into Chesnaught, it looked as though the battle was about to really pick up. Wolfe was certainly ready to get things going, with a technique he called "Gentle Fist, Twin Lion Barrage". From the looks of things, it seemed as though it was an improvised double Fire Punch. Manchin grinned bravely in response to Wolfe, and Keith grinned as well. Orders given, Manchin charged forward, managing to Tackle the Arcanine with great force. Of course, this put him in harm's way, but he met that improvised move head-on with Hammer Arm, putting up a tremendous fight- evolution had certainly been good for Manchin, no question!

"Holy crap, Manchin got stronger," remarked Jack.

"Heh, yeah, he did!" Keith grinned. "And I think it's time we show them just how much stronger, too! What say you, Manchin?"

"Chesnaaaaught!" Manchin responded eagerly.

"Then here we go!" Keith exclaimed, moving his arms. His Poisonium Z gleamed brightly as Z-Power started to generate.

"Ches!" responded Manchin, mimicking Keith's movements.

"Our minds, our spirits, linked as one!" Keith declared as he made the motions, struck the poses, to build up the necessary Z-Power. "A power as intense as the Plague Swamp of Cascadia! Feel the poison- BE the poison!"

"NAAAAAUGHT!" roared Manchin as the Z-Power flowed into him. It powered him up, took his Sludge Bomb, and turned it into something even stronger. Smiley, meanwhile, waited for the last possible second before standing clear of the Z-Move's range

"Maximum power, Manchin!" Keith exclaimed. "Use Acid Downpour!!!"

Tinnitus and Neville both followed, though stayed back a bit as Lelo shook the water off herself. Considering they themselves lived with two Mightyena and a Smeargle, they kinda knew what to expect there. But yes, they were following, and Lelo would see that for the indisputable fact that it was when she looked back.
