Welcome boys and girls to the Coolest Contest Hall of all the land, where only the coolest of pokemon try to see who's the hippest, trendiest, top dog around. The rules are simple; abide by them and all will be well. Sign up now and let's get some contests going! Participants: 10 entrants for Normal Rank 8 entrants for any other Rank Round One: Appeals Every Contest in this Contest Hall starts with the first round of appeals. There, the participants will go on stage, and be given a bag. What the bag contains is totally random, but all of the trainers get the exact same items. During the appeal, it is NOT mandatory to use the items given to you, but it's recommended, for if the items are used in a well combed manner, bonus points will be rewarded. During the appeal, a trainer may tell his pokemon up to five attacks, nothing else. Before entering the stage, the trainer will be offered to choose an arena of his choice. There's a machine in which he'll type in the arena of his wishes and in seconds the arena will be recreated just as the trainer wanted. The scoring will be based off the moves they used, their coordination to their environment, their looks, and the type of attacks used. Ordering cute or smart moves will cause a trainer to lose points, while beauty and tough moves will be allowed without penalty. Originality will also be counted, for if a trainer uses an appeal that has already be seen, he or she will lose major points, and or will be disqualified, so please do something new each time. The trainers with the highest scores will move into round 2, the Semi Finals. Items can not be used from the beginning of this round, so if you're to use a special item, make sure you've attached it and or used it before this Round has BEGUN. Here, the top 4 will be selected, and all of the rest will be sent home. Round Two: Semi Finals Here, the last standing trainers will battle the semi finals out. Last time around, the trainers were able to choose their environment, but this time the environment here changes at random, and you don't even get to decide on the first arena. The only exception to this rule, will be to the trainer with the highest indicator from the last round. He or she will be granted the advantaged to choose the first arena of the match, although we are giving this sort of special reward this does NOT guarantee that the arena will stay as it is. To keep the trainers on their toes, and ready for any sort of obstacle, the arena will be constantly changing from different arena, it is completely random to what and when will the arena will change, so exploit all the time you have with one arena, just don't get too much familiarized with it. As for the order of attacking, the battles will go ASB Style, which means Player A orders attacks, followed by Player B. I then ref, and then Player B attacks first followed by Player A. This pattern repeats for ten rounds straight. Now as to the battle details and scoring system, it all depends on the attacks and the way that they are used. Both Pokemon begin the battle with 200 C-HP, or Cool Hit Points, essentially their Coolness Meter. The object is to obviously get your opponent's C-HP down to zero by attacking them. However, you will be docked of your own points for using a Smart or Cute attack, which will be judged on how the attack actually has been used. If the move was originally Cute/Smart, but the pokemon pulled it off with impeccable coolness, that pokemon will not lose points, and on the extreme contrary may actually gain some extra bonus for its creativity. For every attack in which the pokemon makes physical contact, and hurts his opponent, the opponent will of course lose points. If the opponent however, uses a move to counter attack and send back the original attack back at the opponent, then the opponent will lose points instead of the other pokemon, so always keep that in mind with your attacks. At any time a pokemon faints, it will lose the battle. Healing Items or any other items are not meant to be used at any time of the battles. If no one has reached 0 C-HP by the end of ten rounds, whoever has the higher amount will be victorious. If both C-HP are tied, or the match results in a draw, we will move onto a bonus, Sudden Death round. Only two winners will remain, and the other 2 shall have to go home empty handed. Round Three: The Battle Pillar The Battle pillar is a massive, 100 foot tall, pillar, 50 feet in diameter. In the Battle Pillar, there are two parts, the spiral stairway, and the platform on top. This round will be judging coolness for both of these parts. The Spiral Staircase In order to get to the battling on top of the Pillar, one must climb the Spiral Staircases first. There are two staircases positioned on opposite sides of the pillar and coil up the pillar to the top. This is essentially a race to the top, and will be judged in two different categories. The obvious way is who makes it to the top first and fastest. The other category is how cool one makes their way up to the top. This race will be judged in only one round, so make sure you are very clear on all possible attacks you would want to use to get there. A pokemon's base speed is not completely necessary to win this race however, as any given thing can happen on these stairs. You may use up to as many moves as you want, but keep in mind that some attacks may require the user to stall for a moment to execute the attack, or that the pokemon might have trouble remembering if too many attacks are issued. Moves may be targeted at your foe, but keep in mind that they are on the opposite side of the pillar, so something like Tackle would be pointless. Try and be clever, like affecting the weather, or even giving the pillar a shake with an earthquake and see what happens. When you get to the top, however, the battle will begin immediately, so it wouldn't be wise to waste too much energy. The way coolness will be judged here is using the C-HP system as in Round Two, but this time, one's C-HP bar starts at zero, and extends to a limitless amount as cool moves will boost one's C-HP. If one is using a water type pokemon, a clear tube filled with water can be used to replace a stair case and works like a backwards water slide that is filled completely to the top with water, the object being to swim to the top. The width of the stairs and the water tube if needed can be chosen by the trainer. The Battle Platform The moment both pokemon are at the top, the battle will commence. As stated before, the circular platform is 50 feet in diameter. The object of this portion of the Battle Pillar is to push your opponent off the edge in an ultimate sumo wrestling match. This match will last for ten rounds, like Round Two. Also like the staircase, the C-HP system carries on with the C-HP gained from the stairs, and if no winner is decided come ten rounds are over, the winner will be decided by who has more C-HP. Pulling off successful combos or using moves to make oneself look Cooler will result in a gain in C-HP, and only moves that cause the opponent to be afflicted with an abnormal status condition (like poison, paralysis, confusion, blindness, etc) will result in a loss of C-HP for the opponent. The use of Smart or Cute moves will also result in loss of your own C-HP, and Beauty and Tough moves may be used without penalty. For example, using Quick Attack on the opponent will not lower their C-HP, but raise your own if used in a Cool manner, and using Poisonpowder will cause BOTH of you to lose C-HP, you for using a Smart move, and the opponent for being afflicted with poison. Another thing to be careful for are trap panels that can cause almost anything, and will be decided by RNG. Things like trap flamethrowers and spark mats are among many different traps. Because Flying pokemon have a serious advantage here as well, they must not stay airborne for more than two rounds at a time, and must spend a round on the ground to compensate, else they be disqualified. If a flying pokemon is also pushed below the surface of the platform off the edge, they will also lose, regardless if they're in good condition or not. Also, if a water pokemon needs, a series of intricate, maze-like canals will cross through the platform, so fish pokemon will be granted mobility. Just like the second round, there will be a 4 day DQ limit for the battle. The Ranks and their Qualifications: Normal: Nothing is required in here, but just to register your pokemon and enter (of course the pokemon should at least fit with the cool type, tough and beauty will still be permitted of entry while Cute & Smart won't). The pokemon does not have to have any Cool Points but it does need to be in your active team. Super: This type for contests is only welcomed to those who have already won the Normal Rank Contest. In this Contest, it is necessary for the pokemon to have won the Normal contest. Proof must be shown that the trainer has won the Normal Rank, so keep all of your past records. Keep in mind that the pokemon meant to be used MUST have 30 Cool Points to enter this contest as well. [Will take place after the Normal Rank Contest has participated 8 times] Hyper: Just as the previous contest, trainers who have conquered both Normal and Super Contests are welcome to try out for this contest. The pokemon meant to be used does have to have won the Super contest (which means it has also have won the Normal Rank), to participate into this contest. You must show proof here of the pokemon's Ribbon so be prepared to show us at any given time. Pokemon must have at least had 60 Cool Points to enter this contest, and they must be in your active party. [Will take place after the Normal Rank Contest has participated 8 times] Master: The best contest you could ever participate, only trainers who's pokemon have won in the Normal, Super, and Hyper can enter this contests. Once again, proof must be shown of the pokemon's entry, and the pokemon must be in your active party. The pokemon used also must have maxed out Cool Points. He once belonged to Trick and bore the name Pierre. Trick didn't have room for him on his team any more and Stacey knew that she could not bear to see Pierre go to another trainer and so took him into her team, renaming him Lucius. He has fitted in well within the group and gets on very well with Cadaver - getting more words out of him than anyone else ever. He enjoys being in Stacey's presence having feelings for her since he first saw her. These feelings have since moved onto another Shuppet but he cares for his trainer deeply. He is a mischievous little pokemon always causing trouble, and having fun whilst doing it. He has a Quirky nature and it shows. He's very helpful at times, especially with a Poliwag we both met on our first adventure. Kaio is the best Pokemon I've had in a while and he has been a huge help on my adventures.
