Wii U Controller to have a built in web browser.
Wii U news all over the place. Apparently the new controller will have a web browser on it. Very cool, screw iPads, the Wii U does it all!

Question 1. Why would I rather websurf from a touchscreen than from a mouse + keyboard + monitor when BOTH are plugged into devices at home? The Wii U touchscreen isn't exactly portable, as in, take it with you wherever you go. If it was, then I could see the argument here ("mobile iPad vs. cumbersome computer tower"), but since it isn't, I don't see the appeal. Typing is much easier with a keyboard than with an iPad. Most computer monitors boast screen sizes larger than an iPad. Etc. Same thing goes, then, for the Wii U controller.
Question 2. How does news lead you to conclude "screw iPads, Wii U does it all"? Pretty sure iPads can still do a lot of things the Wii U can't. Pretty sure both are still gimped when it comes to Adobe Flash.

Question 1. In most cases you wouldn't, in some very lazy cases you could.
Question 2. I was being facetious. The iPad certainly has more features and uses than the controller will on its own. I was just intrigued and mildly excited about this interesting feature, something I certainly would use if I got this machine.

More importantly, Zelda HD was confirmed to be in development.
But that's a different article (from the same site). |
