I really appreciate how UPN is still a vB
Bulbagarden, Serebii, and Smogon have all moved to a social media-inspired BB system that's slow, script heavy and encourages low quality posting. Smogon exempted, it feels like I'm reading a forum of copy/pasted YouTube comments.
UPN continues to maintain a positively patrician taste in BB software. Kunos!

I don't go to those sites so I'm not sure what that experience is like, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it. VB is perfectly serviceable.

phpBB was a pain in the arse. I have nostalgia for UBB but I can't remember the nuances of it versus later BB software.

I'm glad this site still uses vB. Most forums have changed and I hate that. This one maybe looks old, but it's functional and reliable.
