Re: Okay, what the fuck
Maybe this will finally kill the MK series? A teen rating with no deaths and stuff will probably turn off what fans the series had left. Here's to hoping its really really bad!

I really don't want the MK series to die. A few good memories of my childhood were memorizing the fatalities while my friends played and then shocking them with it. Still though, I'll probably rent this.

Re: Okay, what the fuck
*shrug*, I thought the rail-[strike:xqp90ztz]shooter[/strike:xqp90ztz] platformer that they unveiled looks pretty sweet. A lot of people are pissed because it looked (duh) too much like it was Sonic on a rail and not a free-roaming Sonic like they've gotten accustomed to from 1999 onward, but you know what? Fuck you guys. Sonic on the Dreamcast < 2D Sonic on the GBA < the original 2D Sonic games 1-3 on the Genesis. It's like Mario started off good and got better each generation whereas Sonic was the exact fucking opposite. Mario : Arthur :: Sonic : Merlin for you Once and Future King fans.
But you're interested in the RPG, Blastoise? That surprises me. I thought you'd be the first to piss all over the fanboys who are hoping it'll be the second coming of Mario RPG Jesus, not that you'd sympathize with them or even possibly be one of them. As for me, having never played Mario RPG and being only so-so pleased with Mario & Luigi Super Saga (or whatever it was called), I'm interested in what Bioware has to offer but am far from excited. Kotor was fun but dragged on; the Chinese game (forget the title, it was that forgettable I guess) was fun but constantly crashed on my and my friend's XBox; and I haven't played their newest hit.

In any event Bioware's batting record in terms of games is a fuckton better than Sonic Team's (which is sitting around .000). I'm not expecting a lot from the RPG, granted, but I think it has the potential to be a decent game in spite of Sonic's shitty friends being there which at this point is about all you can ask.

Re: Okay, what the fuck
What was wrong with the Wii Paper Mario? Granted it wasn't the most challenging game, but if you ignore the "gotta catch em all" card crap it wasn't too bad.

Re: Okay, what the fuck
What Bioware game are we talking about when Blastoise mentions an "RPG"? The last game I heard Bioware had in development was some Dragon-something successor to the Infinity Engine combining aspects from Morrowind - looked to be a good game though the distinctive atmosphere of Forgotten Realms would be lost in favour of a more generic one that doesn't make the player feel he/she has accomplished much of anything beyond conquest in a video game. Still looks interesting.
