In light of there being more shields than there are us, I'm just gonna use Astonish (30 BP) this time to shave off a bit from its defenses. Little bits of progress on time, right?

Although their Pokemon are beginning to wear, they all know that the end is insight, this wasn't time to hold back. After their barrage of attacks, only one shield remains, but Aggron doesn't seem to mind as he begins to lash out once more..... Dynamax Initiative: Meetan, Machoke

One had to wonder what a heavily armored beast like an aggron needed multilayered energy shields for, but Ami had to admit the damn things did their job with aplomb. The barriers ate up a substantial number of attacks, and even managed to consume all of the machoke's time as a giant (it would've been nice to know that there was a time limit ahead of time)! The weird part was that the barriers didn't seem to care much about the power of the attack as they took, and shattered even against Cassandra's weak surprise tactics. What was up with that?
Strategically, this meant that the raiders's strong, energy-intensive attacks were best reserved for once all the shields were down, so Ami had planned to shake up the beast's solid footing while another Trainer focused on protecting the team from friendly fire, but of course it had other ideas! The metallic behemoth had leapt into the air (thankfully) before she could give her orders, and stayed there, rendering itself all but immune to Cassandra's arsenal in an instant! Because the only thing more intimidating than an gargantuan, iron-clad forest-clearer of a dinosaur is a flying gargantuan, iron-clad forest-clearer of a dinosaur! Eventually, there was a second wave of shields, but it didn't take long for them to be reduced to just one. "Hold on, guys, let me take this one!" Ami proposed to her allies in this mess. "Our damage output's kind of been hamstringed here, so we'll be inflicting more pain this way!" Cassandra's for her part, hissed in frustration at her Trainer's comment, but nonetheless accepted the situation for what it was. She'd taken a massive rock to many to really feel like arguing at this point, anyway... ~ ~ ~ (OOC: Slipping in to bust the final shield with a quick Astonish (30 BP). Go get 'em, folks!) Dynamax Boss Aggron ★★★★ Health Gauge: 23% Shields Up: NA Status: Electric Terrain (5), Magnet Rise (4), Sp Def +1 Raid Boss Attack Summary: Attack 1: Max Quake (130 BP) King Ghidorah, Kingler: 171 HPAttack 2: Thunder (110 BP) Median Dia, Sandygast: 23 HP (IMMUNE)Attack 3: Flash Cannon (80 BP) King Ghidorah, Kingler: 81 Raid Challengers:
As the last shield is destroyed, the trainers call for a barrage of Fighting attacks. The Pokemon pummel the raid boss, beating it into submission. Aggron still has plenty of fight left in it however and retaliates with a Max Quake, before a bit of luck sees the trainers get through the round without losing a team mate...... Dynamax Boss Aggron ★★★★ Health Gauge: 0% Shields Up: NA Status: NA A final barrage of attacks is launched in an attempt to finally bring down the aggressive Aggron. While the other Pokemon pummel the Raid Boss into submission, Sandygast lets loose an infestation that seems to be the last straw. A blast knocks all of the Pokemon back but Aggron roars in pain. The Dynamax energy within the Raid Boss is released and the Steel typed titan slowly returns to regular size. The Gym Leader rushes to the side of his addled companion, Aggron is barely conscious and seems to have no recollection of what has transpired. After returning his Pokemon to its ball, Gym Leader Jared leads the raiders from the den. The sun is blinding after the darkness of the den, but eventually everyone's eyes readjust. Applause rings through the air, all present are clapping in celebration of the victorious raiders. Professor Pine appears with a collection of rewards for those that had come to their aid. "Thank you raiders, we would have been lost without you", states the Gym Leader as he makes the rounds, shaking hands and handing out rewards. "Consider yourself honorary NeoKnights, I hope you will be on hand for future skirmishes!" For all of their hard work in defeating the Raid Boss Aggron, the participating trainers are awarded the following items:

Monferno gasped for air as well, thoroughly exhausted, but grinning excitedly. Two in a row - he had vanquished two Dynamax Pokemon in convincing fashion, and nobody could take that away from him. His legacy was starting to build, steadily and rather spectacularly - before long he'd be a proper hero, a legend in the battling world! "You did great Monferno," praised Ark, who finally got to breathe a sigh of relief after all the punishment he had to watch the ape endure. "We all did, despite the odds!" It was true; one of the raiders had been incapacitated early on, and the four remaining fighters had to give it their absolute all. It was down to the wire, every single Pokemon beaten to the brink of collapse, but in the end, it was the towering enemy that succumbed first, against the odds. Proud of his companion, Ark and Monferno shared a triumphant first bump - but once their fists touched, Monferno's became surrounded by light, as did the rest of his body! "W-what?" He could tell what was going on almost immediately, and even so, it came as a surprise. Had his partner really grown that strong in such a short amount of time? Well, he did fight and win against a Dynamaxed Snorlax and Aggron almost back to back... You really are something special, aren't you? The light soon faded gently, unlike the explosion of Dynamax energy from before; the fire ape remained in place, fist touching Ark's, but he was different now. Taller, leaner, unquestionably stronger... a fully-grown ! "So that's how it is, eh? You damn showoff," joked Ark. "Don't think you're gonna fight every raid from now on just because you look cool as hell, you hear? Heh... congratulations Monf - I mean, Infernape!" The battered warrior smiled and nodded. He knew he couldn't get all the glory - but he also knew no matter who else Ark chose for future big fights, they'd never match what he could do. And this was only the beginning of his tale! --------------------- Another one bites the dust! Well done guys! Claiming:

Finally grabbing these doohickys. This may not have gone exactly according to plan for my part, but I think I didn't do too terribly considering the circumstances~ *Stored up 50 Watts!* *Obtained TR Iron Tail x1!* *Obtained TR Stone Edge x1!* *Obtained Babiri Berry x3!* *Obtained Charti Berry x2!* I'm gonna go ahead and use the TR Stone Edge on Cassandra the sandygast, and the TR Iron Tail on Clyde the gligar (both moves learned naturally through non-TR means). *Cassandra learned Stone Edge!* *Clyde learned Iron Tail!* |

“Brilliant work, guys! And oh my gosh, yay! Nani!” Alice called out delightedly, as relieved and enthusiastic as she always was about their victories. The Machoke turned around, returning to her trainer and scooping her up as she knew the young woman always enjoyed, much like a young child. Nani even spun Alice around before settling the trainer against her for a cuddle and then atop her shoulders, making sure that they weren't left behind once the gym leader began to guide everybody out of the cave. “Oh, bloody hell.” Alice remarked. The sunlight was blinding, and Nani released one of her legs to shield her eyes, both human and Pokemon making the same gesture of a visor with their hands to help adjust to the change. The air was crisper and fresher outdoors, too. The trainer thanked Jared for the gifts, and being an honourary NeoKnight, too? How super cool! “Yeah, we'll definitely be back to help out. Thanks a bunch, Jared.” ((Collecting the items, and using the TRs on my Pineco, Farren, thank you.))
