Sunflora Summershine Cup Round 1 - sweetbbydoll vs Ex-Admiral Insane

Levin smiled as the two contestants approached. One of them was a familiar face since he'd started overseeing Trainer Battles - Liza, owner of a powerful Charizard who'd put on a marvelous display against her boyfriend and his Garchomp. The other was man whose battling style was entirely foreign to him, which meant he'd have to ask Zion to be twice as observant.

The match-up itself didn't exactly favor Liza this time around, her Ghost-Type going up against Lucas's doom herald. It'd be interesting to see what strategies both Trainers would employ, and who Victini would smile upon at the end.

- Thank you for coming guys, and best of lucks to you both. Ready to start? Here we go!

Few people entered after Lucs signed up. All remaining battle slots were quickly filled and the trainers were requested to stay as their battle positions would now be randomised. Lucas and Doom stared silently at the board as the computer calculated the tournament positions. Finally, the board lit up with all sixteen trainers allocated. One by one, each of the first eight battles were highlighted, the battlers for that match portrayed with their Pokémon of choice.

Lucas was the fourth to battle. His opponent was a Litwick by the looks of it. The young trainer couldn’t hold in a grin. Litwick was a Ghost/Fire-type. Doom had a clear type advantage over his first opponent. Still, he hadn’t fully trained his Absol while his opponent seems to have spent more of her time training her entrant. It would be clever if he kept a straight head.

By the time it was his turn, he was led to a large open field. Grass sprawled out everywhere with only a lone tree standing in the centre. A bit further removed stood his opponent. Lucas had never properly talked to the person in question though he remembered trading her an Oddish. While he himself had her Meowth in his possession.

Swaying near her feet, her Litwick hovered. Lucas could, somehow, tell that his opponent wasn’t going to be as big of a pushover in the type match-up as he had hoped. The Litwick was sure to give him a run for his money if he wasn’t careful.

Still. Lucas grinned to himself. Absol, though not fully grown yet, was trained in matters of luck, catastrophe…

*ding* The signal for the start of the match was given.

…and critical hits thanks to his Ability. “Doom!” The Absol crouched low to the floor as he prepared for his first attacks. “Close the distance with a Pursuit. Then give it Two Shadow Claws in quick succession.”

Liza Marin had fought in a few battles before, and two of them against other trainers but some how this one especially made her feel a little nervous. She didn't quite know what the word was for the way she felt but ‘unpredictable’ might've been the best description she could give.

Given the type disadvantage from the get go, was a little discouraging to get into the grove of wanting to battle. Making Liza feel as if she had already lost before the battle even started.

“Don't focus too much on the type, mama.” A soft and sweet voice said as she and her Litwick were walking (well, for the ghost/fire type more like floating) upwards towards the battle arena that sat on a little hill, overlooking a bit of Cloud Garden's other areas. “The worst thing that can happen is we lose, but wouldn't it be nice to win!” Lucy said trying her best to cheer her trainer up, “The underdogs to snatch the win at the last second? Wouldn't that taste so wonderful!” Her Litwick said so cheerfully, making Liza forget all about her nerves and relax a little as she allowed herself to smile.

“Thats right, always smile even when faced with adversity!” The ghost giggled.

As the lass arrived a little late to the arena, with both the ref she had met many times before and her opponent, a complete enigma to her except for trading away a Pokemon to him once; she greeted them both before looking out towards the grassy plain with just a simple cherry blossom tree standing in the midst of were a battle was soon about to commence.

“I'll admit it's not looking good for us,” Liza said breaking her silence, “But either way, we'll give it everything we have!” Liza said as her Litwick that had been floating next to her made it's way to it's designated spot.

Listening carefully to Lucas' orders, Liza quickly got the impression that her opponent wanted to end the battle in one flew swoop. But she wasn't about to let that happen, taking in from past experiences Liza put her own plan into action, “Lucy! Once they're in close range give them a taste of a streaming Confuse Ray, follow up with a Will-o-Wisp and finish with Fire Spin showing them why they shouldn't underestimate us!” Liza yelled out, “You can do this baby, I believe in you!”

ROUND 1

Levin expected Lucas to take full advantage of the match-up. He'd done extensive research on Pokemon Battling theory to get to his current position, and was of course familiar with the combat prowess of Doom's species. In many highly-esteemed circles of the battling world, including the land of Asbel, Absole were considered among the highest ranking species for battle. Whether Lucas knows how to put that power to use remains to be seen.

Liza, on the other hand, has seemingly come to terms with her predicament and her resolve burns as bright as always. Her fellow Litwick seems equally ready to go, despite her relative inexperience in matters of combat and her disaster-predicting foe.

Making the most of his considerable speed advantage, Doom moves first and ferociously, hunting down and striking Lucy after a short-lasting Pursuit. However, the Ghost-Type proves resilient; she gets back up and capitalizes on Doom's proximity, blastig him with an eerie beam that muddles the mind and clouds the Absol's judgment - Doom is Confused!

As Doom struggles to keep his focus, profoundly dazzled by Lucy's Confuse Ray, the Litwick sees her precious opening and rains down ghostly embers on the Absol, which converge and explode in a spectacle of blue light, leaving behind a nasty, long-term scar beneath the target's pristine white fur. Doom is Burned!

Enraged and still disoriented, Doom seeks retribution. Arceus seems to grant it to him, as both attempts at Shadow Claw succeed, Doom relentlessly slashing away not once but twice on Lucy's tiny frame - shadows dance and empower one another, the ghostly essence of the move proving highly effective against the flame spirit... and the second Claw strike seems to hit a particularly weak spot, resulting in a critical hit! Talk about Super Luck! Fortunately for Liza though, the nagging burn prevents Doom from hitting as hard as he could have, but the Litwick is still badly wounded from the onslaught...

Despite the terrible beating, Lucy keeps going and fights her way back up. Looking to prevent further punishment, she summons a spiral of flames that traps Doom within, each ember that escapes from the tower of fire further damaging the Absol's already charred body.

Can both Trainers overcome the obstacles that stand between them and victory?

“Great job Lucy!” Liza yelled out encouragingly, being proud that her ghost's performance was going as good as one could expect considering the circumstances.

“Lucy, distance yourself by flying up to the top of the Cherry Blossom tree!” the trainer said pointing to the tree in the middle, “There, try to conserve some energy. If, and only if, the Absol somehow manages to break free from it's trap and reach you, use Night Shade on them, otherwise conserve your energy some more!”

(I thought I ordered already)

"Pffft," the trainer said. "If only Doom wasn't so confused this might have gone easier." The burn didn't help either by lowering his physical attacks. It appeared their opponent wanted a ranged battle to conserve energy. Lucas grinned. A plan perhaps?

"Doom!" he shouted to his confused Pokémon. "Keep attempting a Taunt to stop her from fleeing and resting until you pull one off succesfully. After that, go for a Future Sight if you can pull one off."

ROUND 2

Doom struggles to focus, deeply confused after the last round. Lucy knows her survvial depends on it in large part - she has a definite disadvantage in this match-up, but no shortage of tricks to make up for it, befitting of a true ghost.

Liza opts to play a conservative hand; revealing too much of her offense at the wrong time can spell Doom (quite literally) in a delicate position such as hers. Lucy looks up the decidedly large tree and tries her best to float her way up the trunk, all the way acknowledging that it'd be a much easier task if she were evolved and didn't spend much of her life on the ground.
Looking to take advantage of his foe's struggle, the Disaste Pokemon looks to bring about just that with a Taunt that will wreck Liza's entire strategy. However, Doom just can't seem to get his head in the game, flailing violently and harming itself in the process while incomprehensible jargon fills his head isntead of his Trainer's usually clear orders! A second attempt at a Taunt fails again, Doom growling to itself rather than insulting Lucy, and having had enough of his failures, he finally attempts to conjure his mighty Future Sight... but ends up failing again and self-inducing a nagging migraine! Meanwhile, the fire around him still rages, the Absol having found no effective way to put out the Fire Spin that burns repeatedly...
Bad luck aside, it seems all the injuries he inflicted on himself have helped the quadruped refocus, and as the round comes to an end, his blood-red eyes again lock on the Litwick, burning with a desire for revenge.

Lucy is definitely amused, and quite relieved, by the very unfortunate luck that has befallen the supposedly "Super Lucky" Dark-Type harbinger. She takes time to leisurely relax atop a low branch, which was the highest she could reach, recovering some much needed energy in the process, while the Fire Spin dances around Doom...

Lucy hangs in there for another round, having taken absolutely no damage thanks to her technique's remarkable effect. Meanwhile, not only had Doom hurt itself in its confusion, it is also feelings the nagging effects of his burn - overall not a very good round for the Absol and Lucas! Can they bounce back and get retribution?

Doom, keep your distance as you fire off a Future Sight. Then afterwards just try to rest. Interrupt your actions with a Magic Coat if she tries to give you a status move.

Looking up at her ghost Pokemon, having made itself comfortable on the lowest branch of the tree, Lucy was looking out towards the sun and sky with no care in the world as the Absol went ahead to continually hurt itself the whole round. The round had gone better then they could of hoped for but it was still too early to celebrate and Liza knew better then to get full of herself just because the round favored them this time.

Liza often wondered if she as a trainer was holding her ghostly back by not evolving her...Does Lucy even want to evolve? She often thought, Is it wrong of me to want Lucy to stay the way she is forever? At least the ghost never truly expressed it to her, like Liza’s other Pokemon had in the past.

Liza thought maybe it was finally time to have that talk, ask her partner after the match was over what it truly desired and if her ghost’s answer was to get stronger by evolving, then maybe Liza would have somethings to consider when the tournament was officially over.

Listening to Lucas’ orders, Liza realized if the moves were carried out correctly, she would soon be facing a time crunch. What she did from now till the end would surely determine the winner and she wanted so badly to come out victorious! Especially after being looked down upon in the beginning.

“Lucy!” Liza said grabbing the attention of her Litwick, “It’s appeal time!” The trainer said encouragingly as the Pokemon nodded understanding that phrase to mean ‘It’s time to get serious!’ whenever Liza said it, “Quickly, while his busy, sing it your Unfinished Symphony, then give it a show by using Copycat to multiple! Take the rest of the round and use Pain Split to heal yourself! You’re doing great hon, keep it up!”

ROUND 3

From the top of her branch, Lucy stares at the clearly upset Doom, who saw most of his attempts foiled in the previous round. The Absol wishes nothing but destruction upon its opponent, a fate he foresees in the not-so-distant future once its eyes glow blue…

The Litwick, meanwhile, listens to Liza’s orders with curiosity. Those are some fun attacks she has in mind… not your usual appeal, that’s for sure! She starts humming the tune she perfected back in the previous August, musical notes materializing around her then floating towards Doom… But Lucas had enough trickery to last him the whole tournament in the previous round and, expecting more shenanigans out of the Liza/Lucy pairing, has devised a counter-attack. Just as the notes begin to circle around his Absol’s head, the Disaster Pokemon summons a shield around him that instantly repels the mind-tampering effects back to Lucy!

However, per the move’s very nature, the singer of this Unfinished Melody cannot be affected by the tune, and once they reach the Litwick, the notes dissipate harmlessly… Doom goes on the defensive afterwards, taking a breather, while Lucy pulls yet another trick and sacrifices half of its remaining health to materialize two living, breathing copies of itself!
And while the technique has a hefty cost, Liza knows a way around it, capitalizing on Lucy’s low health to turn the tables and maximize Copycat’s potential! The Litwick triplets chant in unison and an ethereal chain wraps itself around each one, then floats towards Doom and binds him as well, the maneuver unaffected by Magic Coat and, as such, unavoidable at the moment… Doom yells as Lucy’s pain becomes his own, while the Litwick is refreshed by absorbing part of the Absol’s life force…

The round comes to an end with Doom cursing its nagging burn; not only that, the spiraling flames of the earlier Fire Spin continue to dance around him, further whittling his health away, though the blazes are starting to die down… How will each trainer follow up on such a technical round?

With the fates smiling down on them once again, the duo of Liza and Lucy felt like they were on cloud 9. They had proved not once but multiple times, that underestimating them was a big mistake! Liza was thinking up as many strategic plans as so could since there was only so many rounds left to go...

"You can do it Lucys!" The Lass trainer cheered, "My cute and adorable triplets!" The trainer giggled happily.

Mama! The Litwicks all looked a little flustered, like when a teenager gets embarrassed by their parent in public.

"I'm so proud of you! We still have a chance of actually winning this because of everything you have done!"

I've just been doing as I've been told...

"No, it's more then that, you're giving it your all. Even if this is as far as we go, I'm very proud to be called your trainer."

Even with her confidence Liza wasn't blind to the inevitable threat they were facing now, Future Sight was ticking down on them and it was only a matter of time before it activated. If only they could finish the battle before then...

There was little room for error and playing a conservative hand didn't feel so wise anymore. The Lass trainer also had to remember to make the most of her current situation, she didn't have one Litwick fighting out there, she had three which meant three times the fire power!

Appeals in contests were different to battles in tournaments, the whole point of appeals was to make the audience watch in awe of a dazzling performance, but battles required brute force to bring your opponent down. Everyone considered both forms different from each other but together they taught Liza that incorporating combinations wasn't just about depending on pure luck to win but skill. And there was one particular combo she wanted to know worked or not.

"Lucys, give them a taste of your Smog and see if the gas from the attack might just cause the Fire Spin to explode upon impact! Follow up with Flame Burst and finish things off with Heat Wave!"

(Sorry for my late reply. Days went by 'like that' without me realising. I had trouble figuring out my next move as well. Like, a lot.)

Things were not going as well as Lucas had hoped. First the confusion, then the burn. The missed attacks, the failed attacks, all seemed to be working against him. And here he had expected an easy match-up with a type advantage. Yet, Doom’s tactics relied on high risk and high reward. He had banked on the Absol’s Super Luck to pull though, and though it did, it was not enough. In fact, he distinctily felt like it had turned against him.Now the two of them were staring at not just one, but three opponents. How did this happen?

Lucas thought back to his textbooks he read on battle tactics. Double Team was a well-known move for confusing opponents. The attack relied on making fake copies out of thin air that looked like the user; but they were incapable of doing anything substantial, he remembered, as they were only images. Lucas eyeballed each of the three candles, perching atop a branch like a Christmas decoration. There was something off about them, and he distinctly remembered the other trainer calling out something other than Double Team, a move he had never heard before. Lucas felt uneasy at taking his chances, these were more than just images.

Doom’s life had just been siphoned by the menacing candle, after making a drastic mistake by using Magic Coat. What was he thinking? He wanted to hit himself. This wasn’t Doom’s fault, it was his. He was too eager about the Summershine Cup that he hesitantly entered his Pokémon before he was fully grown. The young cub had barely learned a handful of usable attacks as it is.

Lucas bit his lip. He had two choices. He had no idea which of the three Litwicks was the original. He could order Doom to dart up the branches and strike them one by one, banking on his Super Luck to get a good hit; but this would leave him open to two strong attacks. Not to mention, the fire attacks could easily ignite the tree and send it toppling on him. Not that the Ghost type would mind, her Flash Fire would use it to her advantage. Lucas’ other choice was to wait on Future Sight. He had never used the attack before and he was unsure whether it would land on the correct Litwick, though he did summon it when there was only one to start with. Could the attack be summoned on a Pokémon that wasn’t there yet?

It was a coward’s tactic and Lucas hated it, but it was his best option. If all three Litwick were to attack, it might end up exhausting the original. So instead of attacking head-on, Lucas was going to play it safe for once and hope for the Future Sight to come in and strike. He glanced at the three candles once more; they were preparing a Smog attack, hoping to ignite the Fire Spin from earlier. He glanced down at the Fire Spin and noticed their embers dwindling. Now, perhaps, he might escape.

“Doom, we have to lure it out of the tree. Use Pursuit’s speed to double back to me through the flames. Zigzag with Quick Attacks to increase the distance and dodge her attacks as best as you can. Take a rest if you can.” If his opponent had two more Pokémon that could attack, then they’d be two more Pokémon that would use energy as well, or so he hoped. He was relying on too much luck, he knew; the exhaustion, the dodging, the Future Sight. But he knew (felt) he was only going to get one more good shot at his opponent, and it was better saved till the moment was right. "Here's betting on your luck!"

ROUND 4

Doom isn’t exactly feeling “Super Lucky” with everything that’s already transpired. Liza has a great deal of merit as well, her sound tactics allowing Lucy not only to stay alive but actually have the advantage, but there’s no denying Lucas is being plagued by some seriously bad fortune.
Filled with determination to turn things around, Doom throws caution to the wind and forces himself against the fading Fire Spin, running straight through it and – instead of gunning for the Lucy triplets – tracks down his own Trainer instead! Smog then starts to fill the grassland, and just as Liza predicted, everything explodes as soon as it comes into contact with the swirling embers. However, the weakness of the dwindling flames makes for a less-than-spectacular display of lights, the poisonous gas igniting indeed but resulting in a less impressive blast than the Lass might have expected; to make matters worse, the Fire Spin is consumed and most of the venomous substances in the air burn away – meaning that, with the distance he gained just seconds before, Doom doesn’t breathe in any of the toxins nor is he caught in the small blast radius.
Frustrated at the lack of results, the Lucys simultaneously unleash three fireballs straight at Doom; the Absol once again makes use of his nimble reflexes and takes a running start towards the tree, then shifts direction multiple times in an attempt to dodge. And while the Disaster Pokemon effectively manages to evade the projectiles themselves, three Flame Bursts going on simultaneously create a widespread cloud of sparks and embers, and Doom can’t possibly hope to escape the tripled move’s area of effect, his fur charred by the incandescent particles that are shot away in all directions. Fortunately he’s evaded the brunt of the move with his remarkable speed, but when the Lucys summon a blazing sirocco, there’s no way to Quick Attack away from the wind itself, which grows impossibly hot as it engulfs Doom. The wind blows fiercely, twice as strong as the usual Heat Wave, and the only way one would fully escape such an intense searing gale would be to block it – despite this, Doom doesn't allow himself to stay in one place long enough to be blown away and manages to evade the full brunt of the move by Quick Attacking as far away from the mass of air as possible… it doesn't save him, but if he didn't move as fast as he did, the triplet-powered Heat Wave would've actually knocked him out!
The round ends with Doom noticing his burn no longer hurting; although the area remains overly sensitive to the touch, the Absol’s pain is gone at this point. Not only that, the Fire Spin has dispersed, meaning there are no outside factors whittling away at his health any longer – even so, the Copycat-enhanced Heat Wave caused some serious damage, and he didn't cause any sort of pain to Litwick herself or her clones.

Right, we have very few options left, Doom. But! There is a shining light, and it's called Future Sight.
Just kidding. Now let's make the best of this!
Doom, use every last inch centimeter of your energy and use Pursuit's speed to zip from one to the other in a fell attack. Keep doing that and striking them one by one. If you hit the real Litwick (read; it doesn't disappear after being hit), then switch to giving it as many Shadow Claws as you can.

Liza was so focused on her combination, she didn't consider that her Litwick's Smog attack would quickly be consumed by the flames, making the poisonous move unusable. However, any error she may have caused was only a small set back in the grand scheme of things, a lesson in teaching the Lass what she could improve on for future battles and appeals.

The rest of the battle went exactly as planned and despite all their bad luck, Lucas and Absol held in there for one more round. Their tenacity to keep going, was admirable and there was just one way she could show her respect...by finishing off her opponents in battle once and for all!

"Lucy, use Heat Wave one last time, they won't be able to escape the power of the hot wind! If they're still standing after all of that, use Flame Burst and only if you have to- possibly an Ember as well!"

It was coming down to the wire, there was still a possibility of that becoming a factor. So, Liza couldn't let up, she and Lucy had managed to turn things around for themselves and get this far! They were nearing the finish line now, but what would they taste when they got there? The sweet relief of victory or the harsh reality of defeat?

ROUND 5

In due time, Doom will no doubt grow into a phenomenal battler – not to mention one with the potential to transcend his usual form. But as of now, he’s still little more than a cub, with few choices in his arsenal to stand up to most threats, be they powerful or simply cunning. The Absol has struggled against a tide of bad luck and a string of great strategical movements on the part of his foe, and now finds himself in quite a predicament… Still, the Disaster Pokemon refuses to stay down, since he knows this round might be his last chance to turn things around for Lucas!
Fuelled by this motivation, Doom keeps himself in the fight, even if his eyesight is blurry and his legs weak. He looks up, sensing a subtle change in the air like only he can in the face of upcoming catastrophe. Only this time… he grins.
While Lucas and Liza are both issuing their orders, a gust of wind begins to blow with increasing intensity, and this is no Heat Wave… Thunder roars, dark rainclouds suddenly gather and begin to slowly spin clockwise, a clearly unnatural motion… then, they split apart in circular motion, and like a meteor, a gigantic sphere of ethereal energy starts to descend, glowing a myriad colors as it approaches the earth. It moves with a purpose, materializing directly above the only tree for miles around – homing in on the Litwick triplets. The orb continues to drop unimpeded, unstoppable, and starts to consume both foliage and branches it comes into contact with. In a matter of seconds, the entire tree is engulfed and vaporized, but the sphere continues to move, destroying a large portion of the ground before finally coming to a halt and dissipating, leaving behind a colossal round crater... with a single Lucy in the center, struggling to catch her breath!
Doom approaches the edge of the earthen scar, ominously looking down on his foe as the wind settles. He knows the cause of Litwick’s intense, unusual pain, the true reason why that move, devastating as it always is, hurt so much more than it should. Because at long last, his Super Luck has proven just that, and the already-catastrophic Future Sight was a critical hit!
Lucy is staggered, dizzy from the impact she had no orders to brace from. Then again, Liza had no way to guess; the Sight’s timing was always unpredictable. She knows she needs to get back up, fight back, put Doom away for god, but her body hurts so much… Not one to wait around, especially after such a turn of events, the young Absol jumps into the crater and hunts down the fallen Litwick, slamming into her with a Pursuit he barely needs to aim, with the two doppelgangers destroyed by the earlier attack. Lucy tumbles backwards several steps from the move’s impact, and things are looking direr than ever…
Doom knows he only needs one more hit, one single Shadow Claw to carry Lucas forward in the tournament! Likewise, Lucy can feel the Absol’s pain and knows one more gust of burning wind will seal the deal… Both foes lock eyes, ready to give it all they have for the sake of their Trainers!
Doom winces in pain, trying to get his hind legs to work, to move fast enough to secure that precious final hit; he growls and then pounces, charging shadow energy into his right claw…. But just as he’s about to hit, the wind suddenly picks up and his pristine white fur becomes charred again, the horribly familiar sensation of intense burning overtaking him a second time. The gale blows him away as he’s mere inches away from Lucy, and once the sirocco subsides, Doom is lying on the floor, drained, battered… fainted!

”Doom is unable to battle! The winners, and moving on to the next round, are Liza and Lucy!”

I kid you not, this is the actual math. Turns out MM’s Meowth isn’t the only one to win with 1% health left, sweetbbydoll’s Litwick has just done the same! If Doom had managed to pull off three hits in a row, the battle would be his, but there was no way for him to do that in his current state nor was there any justification for either Pokemon to land three consecutive blows unopposed. So there we have it, another match done! Serious props to sweetbbydoll for pulling off the theoretical upset, making great use of unorthodox tactics to balance out her custom moves! And congratulations to EAI as well, who despite having a Dark-Type out had few tools to work with, and was met with some pretty bad luck along the way, which his opponent exploited very well. A piece of advice: you may want to be a tad more defensive/careful when you order first, as opposed to more aggressive when going second, because the latter often gets to maneuver around the former’s orders. It’s not something you have to do every time, but as a general rule of thumb, I think covering your bases and being more strategic when going first usually works well.

As the Future Sight touched down, Liza could only look on, she couldn't figure out a way to prevent or even protect her Pokémon from the attack- so Lucy had to endure it. The catastrophic damage it caused, if it weren't for the trainer's earlier planning. Lucy would of been taken out in that one fell swoop...but instead, the Litwick kept on fighting, and with her last breath dealt the finishing blow!

The referee declared Liza and Lucy the winners but the words grew silent as Liza jumped into the crater, the Lass picking up her ethereal candle Pokémon into her arms. The flame on the tip of the ghost's head, having grown smaller due to all the energy she had exhausted.

Lucy's eyes were closed, but they remerged as she felt her trainer's presence, Mama, the ghost Pokémon spoke softly, We did it...See, I told you the type disadvantage wouldn't be a big deal...

"Yes, I know, you're always right about these things aren't you." Liza wiped a tear that formed underneath her eyes, Why are you crying mama? the ghost asked.

"I'm just so happy." The Lass replied, "I'm also so very proud of you."

Liza climbed out of the hole, with her Litwick in hand, she turned and faced her opponent one last time, thanking him for the fun battle, "If it weren't for the series of unfortunate events that had befallen you, you may of had us. Next time, I'm sure it won't be as easy to beat you and your Absol- what I'm saying is, it would be nice if we got a rematch sometime." Liza then thanked her ref before heading to the nearby Pokémon Center, she needed to grab a bite to eat while her Litwick got healed for the next round. To think, she would be moving on, all thanks to her Pokémon's will to keep fighting.
