Most of the duels between UPNers are in Traditional format (the pink box on Dueling Network). You can use banned cards without consequence.

In the most unrestricted format, there are still restrictions (e.g. you can only field one Raigeki, not two or three), but many of us have decks in that most unrestricted format. (That's where Deoxys and my decks are.) If you want to play in an IRL tournament-legal format, however, there are people here with decks that fit that bill, too.

Like I said earlier: Everypony grab anti-Samurai cards for your side deck incase you have to fight Tdos. His deck is too good to go against without some sort of counter.

In response to being called out: Despite everyone wanting to go traditional, I'm trying to learn and adjust to the new rules. I'm trying to go through some duels on this god damn DS game and increase my mental library of cards for a possible deck theme, but the god damn computer's kinda pissing me off. I mean, it's decisions are 10x better than what the GBA games had, where I could easily lure it into killing itself, but it takes too freaking long.

The synchro monsters are pretty interesting, but I don't know enough about them yet. Anyway, I'll speak up if I come up with a decent deck strategy or something.

Most of us will inevitably be switching to advanced after a while anyway most likely, at Tuner's command I'm about to and many of us are already at that point, as upsetting as it is to me because I love my banned cards that used to not be banned...

Yeah, they remade the God cards for legal use, but they altered the effects so they're not half as powerful. As for the Creator God of Light, I'm unaware of it being made legal in cards, but know that there are several Orica card venders that sell legal-looking versions

I play Yugioh as well, though haven't in a while. Personally I prefer YVD (Yugioh Virtual Desktop) for deckbuilding, it even comes with chatroom, duel hosting and base duel functionality, but I dueled mostly in text on the Yugioh.Wikia Chatroom.

I run Harpies, and Plants as my favorite deck types, but I like to experiment. Been intending to make an Amazoness Deck as well.

Also, why the fuck isn't Injection Fairy Lilly atleast restricted? Isn't she like...broken?

I think 2000 LP per use per card is a perfectly fair price to pay for her ATK boost.

Fucking hate stupid kids people. "INJECTION" WAS RIGHT! 注射 means a shot/injection. It in no way, shape, or form could EVER be translated as "nurse." Fucking A. -____-;

Okay. That aside, is the card broken ... "pay 2000 to augment by 3000" ... I don't think so. It may sound like it, but let's think about it:

• Without life gain, you're only going to get to use this three times. Assuming you were attacking the opponent's life points directly all three times, you'd just barely scrape by. But (1) you might not draw the cards you need to let Lily attack directly and (2) your opponent may have life gain in his or her deck or sideboard. Either one of these two factors would mean that Lily ends up killing her own user off before she can kill off the opponent.
• From what I've seen of the metagame fighting people yesterday, it is downright common to get a 3000+ ATK monster out on Turn 1 now by using cheeky tricks and combos. There was even one battle in which a 5000/5000 was to be summoned on Turn 3, joining a 2800/2400 and a 3000/2500, but for the fact that I managed to destroy the spell card that was crucial to that plan's success. The fact that people can do that makes Lily really bad. Why? Because: it means you'd have to pay 4000 life points just to make her a 6400/1500 creature in order to take down those sorts of beasts. (I guess 3400 ATK would be enough for the other two, but not for the 5000/5000.) That means that if your opponent were to attack you with all three, let's say, he'd probably swing at Lily with the 5000/5000, forcing her to pay 4000 life points in order to successfully block it and kill it. Then she'd have to pay another 2000 life points to block the 3000/2500 and another 2000 life points to block the 2800/2400. Just like that, you lose the game despite "successfully" blocking everything that attacked you.

I mean, she still sounds interesting. Give her a card that lets her attack the opponent's life points directly, pair her up with something that prevents your opponents from attacking you but allows you to still attack (like Swords of Revealing Light or Gravity Bind), pump her up three times for an attack stat of 9400, and it's gg. And even then, it may still not be gg so easily if they have something like Mirror Force or that one other trap card that says "Whatever damage you were going to do to me, do it to yourself instead."

She's very high risk, very high return. And that, I suppose, is why she's still unrestricted.
